I saw this on reddit and wasn't sure if the person was a member here too. I looked for posts here and searched by similar images so I hope I'm not stealing their thunder, but I thought they did a pretty good job. Even though I prefer all glass, I have to admit there's something appealing about having a screen just fit perfectly in the stem.

Holes are small enuf that sticky resin will create blockage lickity split. :ugh:

Should be doable with larger holes?:)

Arizer might consider throwing in some (domed) screens to complete the Arizer package, as well as providing cut air paths in their stems....

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Does the Titanium look better in person? I loved all 3 colors but the titanium a wee bit less than the silver/black but got it anyway because it's rare (resale value?) and I feel like it looks better in person and then I'd probably like the color over time (or just not notice heh). I just can't quite like the reddish tint. Maybe it's my monitor but I did see it look more gunmetal-ish and grey but without any red, which is what I'm hoping for is the true color. Interesting note too, there isn't a single blog or youtube review with a Titanium, not even an image on google search besides the stock ones.

I have a BF Black and a Ti. I like the color of the Ti because it does shift according to the lighting. That's probably why its hard to capture a good image color.

Just now when I reached for it it had a deep reddish edge, but sitting in my lap warming up it looks gun metal grey. I think natural light brings out more or the reddish and artificial light the gun metal color.

That well could be, hopefully hole size was experimented with an a useful size selected. It doesn't help that the material used (brass) is a great heat sink. That is it'll be cooling the vapor (a good thing) but in doing so so rapidly will also increase local condensation.

Hopefully, due caution was used in material selection WRT to safety. Typically you'd use "free machining brass" for such things otherwise since it (as the name implies) is easier to machine. However, the traditional way to do this is to add Lead to the brass. This is why the rules for making plumbing fixtures were changed, we were poisoning each other washing our dishes and getting drinks from sinks and stuff.

Therefore, I recommend if you get one of these attractive looking guys you also get a Lead test kit (hardware stores, Amazon, etc) and test for Lead. A cheap, simple, effective 'swipe test'.

he posted the link in the comments, but here it is: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/CNCvape

kindy pricey if you ask me...

I would say definitely pricey. Its less fidgety and im guessing thats what he hopes to bank on. Dome screens sometimes get cumbersome but I'd have a hard time shelling out that price for a brass screen when I could get a bubbler or a whole new Stem.

I am wondering if the O-ring make the taste not pure?
maybe will cause silicone taste ?
IMO,if you have a SS mesh in hand you can DIY an screen like a "U"shape.
did anybody tried DIY a screen with a SS mesh?

I agree, pricey. If they were 10 bucks or so id grab 2 and still think it was a lot for a screen.. But at 20, or 35 for 2, thats just too much.

If he is outsourcing the CNC work and getting them done in small batches i could understand the cost.... I still couldnt bring myself to spend the money though...

How long does the battery hold is charge for? And do you have to wait for for like 30 sec before you take another hit like the solo?

$10 gets me so many screens I really don't care about replacing them occasionally. The regular screens can also be shaped. Still, if it were ceramic or something I might get one or two for the novelty of them.

Perfect thanks! I was guessing it might shift colors with lighting but damn this is really cool! Definitely picked the right color.

Mind if i ask from where?
100x 1" for $5.99 with free shipping

http://www.ebay.com/itm/100x-Stainl...388?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35c5c9578c

1000x 1/2" for $15.50 with free shipping

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1000-Count-...147?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5af881496b

Personally I like the 1" screens more because you can trim them down to your liking or shape them and then trim down. Sometimes the 1/2" screens are a bit smaller than 1/2" and float around on the bottom of the stem and fall out when you go to dump a spent stem. That's no good in my book. Also with bigger screens you can dome them a bit to get the screen off the glass holes (5/8" works well for this). 1/2" sits flat but should stay put.

My air should arrive today. I'm one of those people that track shipments like it's Christmas morning! So excited to try it out. My gong and inline bubbler will also be here hopefully.

I'm thinking I'll need the bent solo stem since I like the comfort it provides and ease of use. Where's the cheapest place to get stock, bent stems?

Already spent $25 for a planetvape gong adapter so I'd like to keep this expense to a minimal but still manage to get a quality product if possible.

it most definitely looks better in person my local shop has both the black and the silver but just decided to go on and get the titanium!!! I'm extremely pleased with the results.

I believe Randy @PuffItUp should have some for you. Or you could've just ordered from pv. I believe they have them as well.

I asked this earlier when I wasn't getting a response from pv. For those who have pv stems, how much stronger are their stems? I break a lot of glass lol

Just remember, that bent Solo stem, and especially the PV gong can stretch the rubber rings out a bit. Not really a big problem, but for those that like it tight (giggity!), just be careful. I think the cheapest place right this moment may be Arizer themselves with the 20% off sale. I know i'm planning on picking up a bunch of stems and batteries myself!

Been really getting to know my new Air and i'm loving it more and more! The taste is awesome especially on blue or white (and even green really), and I also stopped grinding. I find that if the herb is dry (I leave it out for a night or day) I can just cram it in there and it vapes great! I have started using a screen! Just keeps everything cleaner. I think it's a standard 3/4" screen and I just centre it on the stem, and get a pencil and just push it in and it's great and stays put!

Puffitup has them with 15% code comes out to 8.49 each free shipping.
Also arizer has a 20% off sale no free shipping but the U.S. conversion may make it cheaper??

I use the bent Solo stem in my Air it's the loosest fitting stem in my Air.

Can the stock solo straight stem also stretch the rings?

I've ordered one in order to get some cooler vapor but don't want to affect the rings.

They are currently pretty much the perfect tightness.

It's possible, they all vary but i'm not worried about it, and just ordered a straight and bent Solo stem, and a 70mm plastic tip. Already ordered batteries from @CentiZen and just need to buy the nitecore d4 and i'm all set!

The Nitecore D4 is some future shit. It looks more complex than the Air itself!

Has anyone noticed differences when vaping indica/afghanica strains with the air?

I never claim to be real smart when it comes to the science of all this but im personally an indica/aghanica fan, and i notice if i take an indica strain and compare it to an equal in quality sativa strain when combusting... Then do the same comparison when vaping with the Air... I get different results...

Obviously vaping vs combusting can already lead to different effects, but what im talking about is, i will get way more couch locked and better results when combusting indicas than when vaping.. but the sativa strains seem to be even more potent when vaping than when combusting... Its like an opposite effect..

Im thinking it may have something to do with the fact that indica/aghanica strains have higher cbd to thc ratios and the cbd contents require higher temps to vaporize than the THC... And maybe the Air cant reach high enough temps to extract all of the CBD, CBN, et al. noids???

But on the other hand thc vapes at a lower temp and therefor combustion destroys more of that cannibinoid...

Am i even close??

See... When i use the EQ i can raise the temp a lot higher and when i go to 220°C I get even better results than when combusting indica strains.. this is what leads me to believe its the Air just not reaching high enough temps to unlock all the noids.

@WoodVillain: In general I've found hairy strains, herb with an abundance of red, gold, or white hairs, don't vape as consistently as flowery strains. Sativa is generally hairier than Indica. IMO OGs vape better than many other strains. There are exceptions to the rule but that's my observation.
