Because new people come into these threads, as well as lurkers, who haven't read the whole thread and may have missed his comments. While he may have been a bit harsh at times, he does offer up an alternative perspective and I think it's healthy to see both sides of this equation for anyone thinking about making a future purchase.
The few caution flags that do get put up could get buried in a sea of enthusiasim, eh, so while these statements my go against the grain and rub some the wrong way, in my opinion, I think they need to be said.

Yeah that describes a lot, but if I thought like that I would probably kill myself, gotta look on the positives, no doubt the GH will have issues, just like everything, no offense towards @EveryDayAmnesiac, I get your way of thinking, lets just wait though, it might not have TO many issues....I like to be hopeful.
Ehh if you say so....I tend to disagree a lot to be honest, I enjoy using my VaporBrothers more then anything and its built super well, looks nice on a table, gives out tons of vapor and never quits on me and if it did I have a lifetime warranty on it(Meaning if I get angry and throw it out the window I can get it fixed probably, those guys are super chill with the warranty).
Don't get me wrong I will use the GH at home when laying down and such but when I am at my desk for a couple hours, its the VB all the way....

And they have to contend with people getting poor performance from counterfeit units. Speaking of which... I wonder how the folks at Hopper Labs plan to deal with that. If counterfeiters did the Pax, and they did the Firefly, you can be damn sure that they will be doing the Grasshopper.

Him saying you're being overkill was an opinion, you called that wrong, then when he said the firefly behaves like a beta to him you said he was wrong, sorry I just don't follow, oh and I can say its wrong to call others opinions wrong, disagree all you want, but maybe say why and not just "Wrong and wronger"....I hate when people just say a opinion is wrong without explaining themselves.

The FF is not a beta unit that cost over $300. "Wronger."
He didn't say it "behaved like a beta unit," he said it was a beta unit being sold for over $300. Wronger.
I know it's easy to play the " I don't care anymore" card, but this was info that was simply incorrect. Since I've already worn out my welcome with not being a gusher of positivity, I chose to keep it short.
I can see your point. I'll go into more detail about my feelings in the future.

OK, I see that there was a brief discussion about counterfeiting a long time ago. This thread sure is a long one...
Well this thread is going to keep me entertained for the next few weeks ..... I personally stayed away from the hype of this vape for a year. I know there will be issues with it.
Anyone that expects to purchase the GH as their first portable vaporizer and that life's going to be grand is a fool. Most of us know by this point that all vaporizer have issues. The thing that sold me was the price. That $135 price tag was enough to give it a whirl. I know that may be a lot of money for some people, but if it's a dud, I'm not too worried about it, I'll toss it on a shelf and tell some cool stories.
I don't like to invest in kickstarter type campaigns. But you bet your ass I'll give my hard earned money to a fellow small business once they release the end-user version of something awesome! Look at the Anova Sous Vide - that thing kicks ass, bought my wife one on Amazon thinking it was a piece of shit, it's done a great job so far.
Just got an email from Trevor (emailed him some 3D printer related questions), asked him if they were still on target for May shipping on preorders placed now. He confirmed they are still on track.

I think most of us realize there will be bumps along the way with a new vaporizer. Everyone who buys one is an adult and is willing to take that risk of $130 -$200. If you don't like this vape pen don't buy it.
Im really unsure why anybody would stick around in this thread if they weren't interested in some way in the pen unless you're trying to rain on everybody's parade.
I haven't ordered this pen yet so I don't have a horse in the race. I will be watching with interest.
