Within a few years the Rise has gone from the original to the 2.0 now they have an ultimate. The ultimate has a different bagging system, thus making my bagging system (2.0) obsolete. I understand they want to make the unit as user friendly as possible, but, now I have to buy their OEM bags which are five dollars each + shipping. While the old system is a bit clumsy, I can use turkey bags which I can get for 5 for a $1. IMHO (which is redundent because everything I write is my opinion) the new system looks as if Vapir rushed it into production, maybe both bagging systems should have stayed on R&D drawing board a bit longer. Maybe, I answered my own question which I asked a few posts ago: Why doesn't Vapir products get more love?

Sometimes a company just gets "on a roll" as far as making a unit what they dream it to be.
Look at Inhalater:
INH04
INH XP
INH05
INH05 S
All in a period of a few years.
Some parts like the cap is not interchangeable between units, in the name of progress.
I am not saying I like change... I do not.
But Vapir was in the process of making the Rise a more perfect tool, and changes happen during this creative process.

But there's nothing stopping you from continuing to use the original bag system with turkey bags. It's not really "obsolete" because nothing stops you from using the old system OR the new system (which uses the single whip attachment and a whip - both included in all versions).

On another note....there is no Rise 2.0 "non-ultimate" - all there is now is the Rise 2.0, and it has always come with all the "ultimate" stuff, ever since it's initial release late last year.

You sure you got a 2.0? Vapir has actually never sold a 2.0 with the 1.0 bag system. Does it go to 420F?

If anyone has an idea...Can you suggest a way to reduce the opening of a turkey bag to accomadate the new type of adaptor. Vapir new system relies on the OEM whip to fill their bag; there seems to be a small tube attached to their new bags that accomadates the whip. I would like to take a turkey bag and reduce the size of the opening, to about an inch, and clamp a small removable silicone tube to the bag, so the whip can mate up with it. My delema is being able to seal (reduce) the open end of the bag. I attempted to use my daughters flat iron to bond and reduce the open end, but the joint was not strong enough. My next attempt will be to use the clothes iron on a very low setting. Other suggestions would be appreciated.

Ronp,
Hello I been lurking around for a while now but I signed up since I might acually be able to contribute a little.

Im about to buy the Rise 2.0 after some weighing the pros & cons. I'm planning on buying the balloon adapater for the first Rise along with it so I can use turkeybags. Since the herbchampers still have similar adapters and the single user adapter hasn't changed as far as I can tell Im hoping it will work. I'll let you know how it goes.

If it works as planned I'll probably put the single-user and balloon adapter on the balloon and connect with a tube and the multi-user (with 3 valves closed). I read somewhere that with a direct connection the balloon adapter gets very hot and I'm the kind of person that might just do something stupid...

JN-Keep us in the loop. I'm a bit slow and am not 100% sure how you're going to work it, but if it works, show us what you did.

I think all you need is any silicon tube (1/4" ID, 3/8" OD) and a zip tie.

Nice. Do you feel confident the cable tie is secure enough? Also, is the bag your using a turkey bag or a tappered vapor specific bag.

I just used a poly bag I had laying around, but any bag should work (thinner material probably the better). It's quite secure. I pulled the tie enough to make it air-tight without collapsing the tube itself.

I think the only way to use it would be to have a separate piece of hose for each bag, then detach the hose from the unit and sip on the bag using the hose like a straw.

It would also be reusable. Just pull out the hose and the tie just slips off. The bag and hose are fine...just get another zip tie for next time.

This was an interesting idea and I think I might actually give this a try :D

Ok, I tested it out...heh.

My first attempt I wanted the bag to be as big as possible, but I missed a small edge and needed to double zip tie it. After that, it worked fine.

Wow, every time I do a bag I am surprised at how it seems to hit me so much harder than if I just use the whip.

Hello Ronp,
This is the setup I thought up. Bag is just a cheap small garbage bag. I'm not completely sure if the single user adapter and the balloon adapter connect well enough not to leak. I also forgot to buy the clamp. I think I'll use zipties as well. :D

Outstanding: The nice part is you bought no parts; all came with the Rise out of the package. I would have never come up with that idea...Thank you. If you have any other ideas on how to make the Rise more user friendley or efficient; hit us up.

Ronp,
I also confirm that using the balloon system will f u up. I was thinking let me just test it a lil bit. I filled the balloon using fan speed 1 and later 3 for thicker vapor. That first hit knocked my socks right off. I guess I'm not used to this stuff anymore and to think I was going to try and act like I wasn't high. Couldn't even stand straight. :D

Fortunately gf didn't mind too much just bummed she couldn't enjoy because she wanted to focus on study. Good too because I would started laughing if she got mad. I felt like the first time I took a hit from a bong but without the nasty smoke. Very happy with the Rise.

Ps. I did buy the balloon adapter of the Rise version 1 because I plan on using turkey bags in the future. The 2.0 bags are very good and much easier to use though but the old crappy bag already cost 3,50 euros here. I expect the newer bags to be the same price or higher.

Get a small chicken/turkey bag. Set the temp at maximum; it's incredible. It hits you hard and fast. If you use the right herb it's almost "one hit quit."

still confused as to how to inhale from the new 2.0 bag. you fill it with the whip, it has a cover for the bag when it's ful of vapor. once the bag is filled then what? inhale str8 from the bag or thru the whip?

That's a matter of preference. But if you do it through the whip you can be really creative. Imagine combining the bag(s) with one of these?

just wanted to add a couple of things that i think matter. i got my version 2.0 back on cyber monday. so i have been using it every night now almost five months. i thought it was great early on and now hard to believe but i am even more impressed. the performance and build quality of the vaporizer is just amazing. i clean mine daily nonetheless it looks/runs after all this time as new?! i did have ONE minor bug. the herb chamber has a minor design/build flaw:\. it is stamped onto the bottom of the steel tube. i never knew then one day while cleaning i noticed the once seamless bottom now had a gap on one side? looked closer and discovered there are like six small tiny, very tiny connection points around the bottom rim. three of those on mine had broken. so the bottom screen portion was left hanging by the remaining contact points. short term fix carefully dropped a flat unused pipe screen i had lying around. it actually fit perfectly with no pressure just dropped it into the bowl, a very temporary solution.

>>now the important part...vapir customer service flat out amazing! i called where i had bought it and they were courteous but emphasized the herb chamber/bowl wasn't covered under warranty? so i then called vapir directly. the woman i spoke with was a pure pleasure. customer service like back in my grandpa's day. the call lasted maybe four, five minutes. i told her what happened. she understood no need to "translate." i only say that because my experience was so positive & so not like customer service i have come to expect and hate. that said i hadn't registered when i got it. nonetheless she told me to just register after hanging up the call and she would send me out a replacement herb chamber/bowl quickly (she told me it WAS covered by warranty). i did what she said and she Did What She Said Too! within an hour i had an email with a tracking number and two days later i had my package. it gets BETTER:clap: i opened it and not only did she send me the right replacement part but she sent me two herb chambers just in case. the only way i could have gotten any better service was if vapir sent along a six pack and amber rose as a bonus.

i know i went on a lot but vaporizers aren't cheap at least ones that work well. this the 2.0 (can't say about 1.0 as never have had) is awesome and word of mouth, feedback from us for others is imho important. my first vaporizer was junk. i made the mistake of just reading comments on the site that sold it to me. another learning experience i guess. i got my vapir based on what others said here and i can't tell you all how much i appreciate your feedback, thank you!

i think you might be helped on this and just basic use by checking out vids on youtube? there are a bunch and once you see it in use it will all make perfect sense. very very easy to use no matter all the parts. sometimes pictures are more effective than words, just my 2 cents. good luck but you won't need it
