I think this form works perfectly because of its physical design and KISS methodology. RBT, I am glad that you worked with the people and transformed it into science and actual good performance (haven't tried it but feel it can't fail). And remember back when I asked if it can fit in a cup holder, I want to ask if the Zion still can? Looking forward to buying it.

Damn! Another fine wood vaporizer made in the the US rather than only "designed" in USA. I just abandoned my Firefly due to the defective battery issues I've had, saying I never again wanted a rechargeable unit, but this might make me reconsider battery power, especially because these guys are using off the shelf batteries I already have rather than forcing me to spend fifty bucks every couple months replacing poor quality but expensive proprietary batteries.

Lots of great ideas in this device!

I can't figure out the coupon code for the wait list thing, but I'm lazy, and will read more here and try again later.

The Zion has been reduced in size since, so it should fit even better.

Your product and support make me love you; yet, inversely, they also make me hate you... ;) Paying bills seems so passé right now, I just want to buy mad vapes! I'm currently saving up for a different vape & I'm not too far off, then you gotta show me this?!? Ugh decisions decisions; plus the site says only 18 of the 100 left, so I have to decide on pulling this trigger pretty quickly.

I've been in need of a new portable and was considering the mighty or the crafty but just haven't been sold for the price. I just stumbled on this thread from someone else mentioning the Zion in the crafty thread. Already signed up for the waiting list, VAS is real!!

EU can be difficult due to all the rules and regulations. I am located in a part of Europe that's not part of the EU so those rules do not apply to me. I've explained that via PM but haven't gotten an answer in a week, sure hope it won't be an issue.

I am sure it wouldn't be a problem to ship to Europe though... Just mark it as a gift. No product, just a handcrafted gift from a friend. :) Where there is will there's a way!

Top of the morning folks! Spring is almost here and it is a stifling 28 deg F outside. I have been using the 2x4 with the change in heater length that RBT mentioned previously. At first I noticed a change in the draw resistance compared to 2x4 #1 and I did not really enjoy it as much. After tweaking my bowl packing by adding a little more than in unit 1 and using the lowest wattage on the dial I found another "sweet spot." I have been getting 14-15 hits per session and still getting 10-12 sessions.

I still miss the lighter resistance that 2x4#1 had but I think the trade off in increased efficiency and quantity in the bowl makes them equally appealing.
Dilemas. @RastaBuddhaTao can I have both 2x4s lol :mmmm:

Not having had one in my hand and just going by descriptions, the LACK of resistance has been an attractive feature of this device. As I won't be able to A B it, the more restrictive pull might be just fine, but it IS slightly concerning. I have no doubt that RBT is perfectly aware of this and will manage this concern to our benefit... :)

Another vote for lack of restriction here... I mean, it is the first drawback I would mention about my solo, the restricted draw... Just my two cents

The resistance is still much better than any of the vapes I have tried. I have really only used a handful mostly iolites,vapirs and the occasional volcano session. The difference is really not significant in each unit but I am pounding the crap out of them and noticed the subtle difference. I would compare the airflow to that of a conventional shotgun type pipe wide open in the first 2x4.

Just tried to use the RBT site and when I try to sign in on the waiting list page I get "invalid username/password combo." I use the FuckCombustion and First100 for the log in.

Did I mess up and wait too long?

now the link takes me to a Login page where I get the same "Invalid" message, earlier today it went right to the sign on to the list page where around noon there where 6 left.

:shrug:

Yes it is. We're still dialing in the tactile feel of door and lid arrangements so magnet location, size, strength and/or count will likely change from the current form, but not by much. The lid feels pretty good as is and probably won't change. The battery door needs some massaging, we'll nail it though, we're striving for a rock-solid "feel" for every aspect of the Zion, looks-wise, ergonomics-wise and performance-wise.

All you guys saying you're excited are right to feel that way! I was in a local shop yesterday that my friend owns when in walks the creator of this awesome device. Long story short, he invited me for a "beta test" , and let me tell you, this thing is effective. The draw on it is really nice, and you can get a hit from it that really knocks your socks off. I wasn't really in the market for any more devices right now, but this thing is definitely on one of my wish lists now. Hopefully I see more of this thing in the near future!
