I am about to start recording a mini-preview-review video thing for the Grasshopper, going to do some unedited vape shots etc.

Does anyone want me to touch on, show/explain anything specifics before I get started?

I pre-weighed 3 seperate .15g piles of herb and threw them into seperate dube toobs, so I will vape a bowl at temp3, kick out the avb, vape a bowl at temp4, kick out the avb, and then vape a bowl at temp5 through the bubbler and kick out the AVB.

Should I vape .15g at temp3/4/5 and then vape a full bowl through bubbler at 5? Or just do temp3/4 with the .15g bowl, and then a full bowl through bubler at 5.

Hopefully I don't die vaping like .5-.7g in like 15 min. Expect me to act silly by the end of the vid ;)

If you have one of those Pinnacle Water Tools it'd be interesting to see how that works out. Seems like it might be good for taking big rips without having to bust out a whole bubbler. Other than that, I'll just be happy to see a bunch of usage from an experienced vaporist. Make sure to have fun! :D

Fast draws at higher temps... is the GH heater able to keep up equally well with almost drained batteries as it does with freshly charged batteries? And how much quicker will batteries drain with fast draws at high temps?

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
@Shit Snacks are you sure about it coming with the SS version? According to the webstore it mentions the Ti version has the leather case and charger included but doesn't say anything on the SS including the case, just the charger. Have I missed some extra info somewhere along the line?

I'm pretty sure, but can't guarantee. In Buzz's review I think he did mention the planned included accessories.

@BuzzDanklin I'm actually kind of curious what kind of clouds can be pulled staying at a low temp as long as possible, then seeing what it gets at a higher temp, how much is left. Say 356ish, the. 395ish ? And/or 340 and 380

Soooooo tempted to finish this order. SS GH and 2 spare batteries
I have the same exact order sitting begging me to just finish and pay and I just can't bring myself to pull the damned trigger yet. I really wanted to have this sucker in time for my birthday in April. It seems to be everything I've ever dreamed of in a stealth vape.

That's definitely not happening if pre-orders say May.

@BuzzDanklin thanks for the review. It looks like it's a winner for you. Even the downsides you mentioned seemed like no real problems.

About your site. I looked through the other reviews, and it seems like almost all of them had ratings of 9 or greater out of 10. Even the MFLB got an 8.5, and the Volcano was over 9.

Usually when I see all positive reviews, it's a red flag. Buzz if you could clear up one thing. Are you getting affiliate money out of any of the links of your site that go to retail outlets? Some of the URLs look similar to affiliate links.

I want to know to take into account when reading the GH review. I apologize for any misunderstanding on my part.

@BuzzDanklin's affiliate disclosure can be found here: http://www.vaporizerwizard.com/affiliate-disclosure/

Also, @BuzzDanklin, there's a typo on that page: " I will do my best to stay nuetral and unbiased."

OK thanks, good to know. And it does color my perception of the reviews and why the vape scores are unusually high. It feels like I'm reading a review from a paid rep. But I get passive income and all that. Good on you. But I'm going to have to wait for more impartial reviews from regular old FCers before taking action.

Buzz, you may want to update your site. On that link above, you state, "As of now, I have purchased every single vaporizer I have reviewed myself......" but in a response to me over at GC, you stated, "I also purchased well over half of the vapes in my collection (and 70% of the ones currently reviewed on my site."

Those two statements are in conflict.

I finished recording the video, but it turned out to be a shitshow. (Vaped 5 bowls, roughly 1g, and from a single battery) It ended up being 27 minutes long, and 3gigs from the main camera (I had a second gopro to get closups of the avb as well)

*Note* My crappy internet can upload about 1gig in 24hrs.

I told you guys unedited but if that's truly what you want, its going to be days and days assuming my connection never drops out.

The two best options I could thing of right now (I'm ruined from making the video) is chopping it up into a like (9) 3 minute clips. Or I can do a bunch of fast/forward/speedups through the non-important parts, but never cut.

What would you guys prefer?

Grasshopper does not have an affiliate program yet, however when they do I will sign up.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I will update the page asap. I just recently begun getting things for free and have forgotten to update it.

What codec are you using to encode it, and with what settings? We can probably get that filesize cut way down.

I'd post the whole clip, for the tinfoil crowd. And I'd post three 9 minute clips. On a decent connection, 9 minute vids are pretty small and I don't want to download 9 "tiny" clips. I actually like the speed-ups over editing. It shows that there's a long boring part. When stuff is missing, I start to wonder what it is that's missing.

Whichever way you do it, I'm sure the FC community will gobble it up.

@BuzzDanklin I think going for the fastforward route would be easier to digest than multiple videos, but I guess it depends on how much time you can slice off doing that. Definitely know that feeling of a session going way longer than expected.

It would be nice to at least see all the hits themselves from beginning to end unaltered, but they probably add up quickly.

And like @TheWhisper said, raw camera images / videos can be much larger than a web-optimized file. You can probably cut down that 3 gigs.

@BuzzDanklin, check out https://handbrake.fr/. Select your video file as the source, then select the "High Profile" preset on the right side. Select the Video tab, then set your Quality (RF) to 18 (higher number = lower quality = smaller filesize; you can play around, but I don't suggest going higher than 20). Make sure H264 is the selected codec and MP4 is the container (under Output Settings). Also, check Web Optimized under Output Settings.

Depending on the video source's resolution, you may want to decrease it under the Picture tab (if it's 1080p, then I would just leave it as is).

You can hit Preview at the top to see the kind of quality you'll get from the final encoding.

There's no way a 27 minute video should be 3 gigs when encoded properly, especially when I can download 1080p hourlong TV shows that are <1 GB. :p

Lemme know if you have any questions.

@BuzzDanklin can we get an actual measurement of a battery?
I'm mostly concerned about length.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but it seems to me a Nitcore charger is spring loaded and will accommodate many different size batteries. As long as it's shorter than an 18650 it should fit.

It is about 2.5inches long, or 6cm.

Here is a photo with the GH battery on the Left, MFLB in the middle, and an 18650 on the right.

I am messing around with the video in PowerDirector, I have it down to 24minutes now with some speedups, I think I can get it closer to 20mins only speeding up parts that are completely unimportant.

@TheWhisper I downloaded HandBrake thanks for the tip, I will put it through that after I am done with the speedups.

Here is a photo of the AVB from the video:

Each bowl had 4 draws on it, except the ShitSnacks one, I don't remember how that one went, it was a shitshow at that point.

@BuzzDanklin If you edit the video, some here will accuse you of dishonesty. This inherently means they are calling you a liar, and if you are being truthful, why concern yourself with what they think?

I think you'll do more good catering to those that will cut you some slack and also don't want to watch a half hour video.

Definitely compress that video though!
