Same here. I only bought a mighty because I needed something portable that could hit nearly as hard as my nano. I love my nano. Hopefully the mighty holds up to my standards the nano has set?

Well I don't really count the cloud I picked up recently because it was so cheap and a rare find.

True, I'm still hunting for a good portable to pair with my Nano. I like my Lotus, but it's not stealth enough for my portable needs.

I have used a NANO and a VAP2 as desktops!

Portable the SOLO has been my portable.
The LOTUS is a powerful little guy however not stealth at all!
The Firefly is sweet and stealthy. Just make sure the battery is a 570 and not a 550.
This is my stealth machine.
The LSV was good however the NANO was easier for me to use.
ÀIR IS NEXT.

Does the heat ever vary with a power setting? I leave mine right on the dot at 7 but lately I have been dialing it back more as i seem to scorch bowls easier!

All my rigs take out too much flavor when I have water filtration and I want to find a nice flavor saver bub to match with my nano.

Once it's up to temp it should hang pretty close to the same. But, little things can make a difference. All the stuff @Ratchett mentioned, even little things like power change from an extension cord or surge suppressor can have a small effect. Don't forget your draw speed will change heat a little, too.

Check out the Cheap High Quality Bubbler thread if you haven't, yet. Plenty of cheap rigs that pair well with the nano. And as it sounds like you're finding, less is more when it comes to diffusion. This especially true with the nano's great flavor on most strains. Definitely don't want to knock that back.

Just pulled the trigger on e nano. Got the shipping confirmation email. This should hold off the vas for atleast...a month?

Probably longer - at least for home use. I quit looking at most stuff after I got the nano. Portables? That's a different story.

when I let the nano sit on the gong, I always get one side darker than the other. Is this common because the size of the heater? Or should I hold the nano while hitting?

sounds like your heat core might be making contact with the load. Either use a smaller size load, or push the screen further away from the heat.

I typically install my basket screens 15mm deep, and load approximately 0.1g (or less) per load.

Thanks Ratchett. I think I am going to try holding onto the nano and move it around while I take a draw or lessen the heat.

Depends on your heat setting and your GonG. Does the nano sit perfectly perpendicular on it? If not, this is why one side is darker. Whatever is darker is because of heat, distance and time on there. I usually don't leave mine perched on top for more than a few minutes.

I don't think it sits perfectly flush. I was having fantastic results when I first started. Maybe it's the new surge protector I bought.

Diehard, I did the same.

Edit: what is your favorite way to use the enano? I know this beautiful wood heater has all the goods but I am just using it wrong. All my problems from user error most of the time 90%. And I am going to buy better surge protector. I want to love it because of its artistic look and reliable heater design. I am trying to get the right setup. Bought the d020 d, fc187 and some other China pieces.

Just under 7 on the dial (this varies a bit between each nano, and based on the ambient room temp), and 0.03-0.05g in the gong. First hit, the nano is held (by hand) higher than where it would rest if let to sit on the gong by itself. The gong is also spun around a bit, and the nano moved around to hit the entire top of the load. Then the stuff is stirred, and usually the load shrinks due to moisture loss, and then the nano can sit on the gong for hits 2-3. You want to avoid having the heater screen touch the herb to prevent hot spots, blackening, and possible combustion.

You can re-fill the gong as many times as you want, but using small amounts multiple times tastes better than using one big load and taking more hits off of it. More fresh green hits with multiple smaller loads.

That is awesome advice. Thanks EverythingsHazy, I knew it was user error.
