I think some people use it as 'filler' so that you don't need to fill the whole chamber with herbs.

Hi, to me the oil pads ( I have mine torn apart cleanly into halves and or thirds) serve a few purposes:
*also I like to have very dry fine ground*

-they keep the load in place, and act as a spacer to get a lot out of a small amount
-I do not use a screen in my cooling unit, the oil pad sucks up a lot of resin
-they prob help keep the load hot in between draws as its made of metal, providing vapor on every draw

I guess the only thing that worries me is coming from a solo where I only have to clean the stem and a nano where I also only have to clean the stem, both the maintenance to keep the mighty working properly and the cheap feeling housing are what worries me. I saw one post recently where someone said the housing of both his mighty and crafty both broke?

Does it charge significantly faster if you charge from say, half battery versus empty?

PS about how much can you load at a time? I have not seen a clear answer on this.

I've only cleaned mine twice but I did not find cleaning it troublesome at all. It is less effort than cleaning my volcano solid valve, another chore that's fairly easy compared to most of my activities. But S&B does sell 3 packs of cooling heads, so that might be helpfull for you. I bought the wear and tear kit with mine and it has an extra cooling head as well.

I can't answer the charging question as I just recharge at night when I'm sleeping, I don't know how long it takes, but I do know the batteries last me two days easy, using about 5-6 bowls a day.

I believe the bowl holds .2 grams. When I first opened mine, I was disappointed it was so small. But after using it a few times, I mostly vape partcial bowls with a split screen on to, now. A very good tip i picked up here, BTW. The screen should keep the cooling head cleaner as well.

None of my bees wax, but since you have two vapes why are you shopping?

And it's Highly contagious ,
especially if you've Contracted FC .
Tell me about it. I am thinking of picking up the Crafty while I send my Mighty in for repairs for those few times I need a stealthier unit!

I am timing sending my Mighty in while I am off for a week of fun in the sun so I don't have to go without it for long after my return. With it working slow right now it really shows just how awesome these units are when they are functioning correctly, I am missing the might of the Mighty even though it still out performs my Solo.

Oh, and on the solo note, I could never get the dense clouds I need , though it did save me a lot of money. Since using my mighty I gave my solo away to a friend and I am selling my near new extreme q.

Edit: We posted at the same time.

Yes, I fully agree. The Mighty converted me from a full time oil head back to loving the flower. The Solo allowed me to not kill guests with oil but could not handle my tolerance or satisfy my chase of lung busting clouds, but the Mighty/Crafty can!

Hehe maybe cause she only has two :o.

;)

Hit the nail on the head!!!
Gotta Try Em All!

Thanks @shredder I am glad to know you can do that many sessions without charging. I do about 6 a day so I am pleased to hear this.

Now one thing my solo has been hard to dethrone for is how I have a older one and a pa adapter I got off marketplace here. I like having It plugged in but still movable although tethered. The mighty doesn't have any sort of similar function does it? A bypass sort of thing.

The Mighty can be tethered for bypass as well! Honestly doing this is not the best for battery health but I am in a situation where something is wrong and while it is plugged in it performs better then not when not at full bar of charge. The Crafty however charges at to low a level and is not a pass through although you can still use it plugged in.

In my first two emails they acted as if I would be responsible for replacement of the batteries, I kindly let them know I am not new to 18650 batteries and the quality ones I have are good for much longer then 3 months ( I also bought in Nov.) and when treated proper should be good for hundreds of charges. I am not asking them to warranty batteries but I expect more then 3 months of use from duel 18650s and imagine more is wrong then me wearing the batts out with 4 bowls a day. It might of helped when I asked if they expected me to pay $75-90 each 3 months for batteries for their vape. Lmao

A hoodie for your mighty! I love it, lol.

I noticed an extreme whip fit on the mighty mouthpiece fairly easy. I thought that at some point I'll get a whip of some sort. Maybe a water piece as welL.

Welcome myself to the mighty owners club! Here's hoping I won't regret all the money I just spent ;) but from the sounds of it I've had my eye on this one for a while...will be glad to see what it's all about. I would have waited on a 4/20 sale but paying in cad is good enough :)

I've only had mine a week, but I have no regrets. Its basically all I used in this last week. And I use daily multiple times. The most amazing thing to me is how much buzz you get from such a small amount of herb. My usage is less than half of what it was before. I can feel medicated a good three hours on less than a full bowl.

I went from smoking 4-6 fatties (1 gram each) a day, to just vaping about 2 gram per day, and now with the mighty I'm at less than 1 gram a day. With no drop off from medication length or strength.

All my days in a daze...
I've only had my Mighty since Friday but I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this portable. I mean I knew it would be good from reading the experiences and opinions of you guys, but it still surprised me with just how good it is.:o

I am a higher temp, bigger loads, bigger hits, kind of guy and the Mighty delivers. I found the key for achieving the best performance, for me, is really just to pack the shit out of it. I stuff the oven full, tamping a few times with the tool. If I have to use less material the oil pad goes in as well. As others have mentioned, having a full oven or using the liquid pad likely increases the conduction effect, which I think lends to the Mighty's wonderful vape signature.:luv:

I haven't had any real issues with my Mighty at all. No error codes. The only tiny issue is it doesn't always vibrate when it reaches temp set at 210C (max). At any temp less than that the vibrate seems to work every time, at the max temp it fails to vibrate perhaps 1/3 of the time. That is the lone, tiny imperfection I've experienced so far so they've obviously fixed a bunch of issues. My serial is #11428 for reference.

Bravo to S&B for the innovation and oh so slick engineering.

Two more questions while I wait! :)

Who posted a good post with how to use screens or liquid pads right or will I know when I get it?

The mighty is powered off of 18650s correct? Has anyone made a replacement battery pack like vape powers solo packs or is it one battery or what? If it breaks I would want to fix it myself.

I believe @elmomuzz posted about using a cut screen. Personally, I have never put one in or the liquid pad and the device works fine.

It is two 18650s. No one has made a substitute "pack" because that would involve de-soldering the old batteries, preserving the temp sensors and any other electronics attached to them, and then re-soldering in the new batteries with the temp sensors and such properly installed. Everyone is still under warranty so we haven't seen anyone motivated to try this yet. If you do it, take pics! :)

Hello , hope you people who just bought are enjoying. If you look back on my posts I have detailed a few times how to use oil pads and screens. Use my name in the search function. Also elmomuzz came up with the cut screen, I still use a third of an oil pad, see my posts and welcome.

Vape De Herb!
Hi guys, this is my first post, so go easy on me lol. I'm new to vaping and bought a Pax by Ploom two weeks ago and I'm enjoying it so far. But I really like the sound of the Mighty but what's putting me off are the posts on here about the defect units and the trouble people are having with them, is this just a handful of complaints about the Mighty or should it be avoided? It's a lot of money to spend on a unit that may or may not last (even if customer service is great!) any help/advice would be much appreciated.

I actually emailed Storz & Bickel earlier today about the concerns I had about the defects of the Mighty. This is there response -

"Our products have been improved continuously since the first release and we are working thoroughly in order to manufacture satisfying products for our customers. We try to immediately correct issues when customers makes us aware of them. Mostly, they are bug fixes.

We have been very accommodating to customers during this infancy phase, in case of any malfunctions.

I hope this reply is of assistance to you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again."

I would still be interested to know any of your experiences with the Mighty?

Hi stuy! Very welcome here at FC!

Short answer from my side: Just get it anyway!
Long answer: Read the last 5 pages of this thread and you will know evereything (and probably more) you need!

Edit: Adam was faster!

Thanks for your reply guys, I have already read through most of the pages on this thread (I do like a good research) but it was actually this forum that made me question paying out for a Mighty, there are many on here that seem to have had no end of problems with them. Now it's all well and good saying that Storz & Bickel have a great customer service but having to send a two week old unit back to Germany and pay for the postage is a bit of a pain in the ass if you ask me!

That's the chance you have to weigh. I am happy to gamble here cuz mine functions (and I believe most) work as they should. I am seeing people post serial numbers in the 15000s. Mines a 500.so its hard to weigh defects just on a support forum. I use every day heavily since November, very happy I bought. But of course there is risk. All di best.
