Discontinued Lily vaporizer by Triihouse

I wonder how possible it would be to create a glass or metal sleeve of sorts to go in the bowl chamber of the lily to shape the bowl more like a log vape glass stem? I seem to notice typically with convection vapes a narrower bowl helps with over all conservation of bud and that would be a great plus not to mention a bowl that could be removed and cleaned with iso. Efficiency isnt really a problem with the lily im just thinking out loud.

I think the Lily's bowl is great as it is. I also like the Daisy bowl, which is larger, and is downright miserly with herb if you know how to work it. Also, I've had the Daisy since it was released and have not found the need to clean the bowl other than the usual vape type maintenance when changing the screen. No need for solvents IMO.
I like that you pointed out you havent had to clean your daisy yet. I hope I have the same experience with my lily. Something about wood in my vapor path is special to me so I do really enjoy the lily bowl especially now that it is getting "seasoned" with oils and such from the many bowls that have been through it.

I have 5g of shatter waiting, my Cera oil cart has packed in, no way of fixing it, company closed down, usual story, so after plenty of reading on here I decided this looks my best option and I just ordered a cherry lily, any idea on the time span ?

And also I found it hard to find anyone using concentrates on this thread, has anyone tried ? Cheers.

other manufacturers need to take notice, this is how you do it

Triihouse's offer is real nice but i can't help thinking if maybe we are taking advantage of the manufacturer's excellent customer service.

i always thought it was a natural progression for vapes to go through different versions of their product life cycle, especially when the creator implements some improvements on a current model.

Even at the beginning of the thread (like page 8), you have Trii making adjustments to the vape and it's clear that it was not a "final version", it was an evolution of a product we were seeing and future developments may certainly be in store. Early adopters especially would be aware of such risk which is balanced by a discounted price.

Much more importantly were the initial rave reviews that said Lily was "great, easy, efficient, nice clouds, strong effects etc etc". It transitioned from that to 'harsh vapor' and then 'obsolete & not ready for prime time' in about 2 weeks. I feel that's too big of a swing and slightly unreasonable.

I don't think Lotus is going to send me a new heat-cap if they modify their current version, just like those who bought a working v1 did not receive a the v2 cap for free. Just like i don't expect Apple to give me a new i-pad just cause the new one made the old one obsolete.

if the initial product was crap, i'd understand but that's not even the case here - supposedly, they made a great product. The changes were merely improvements. If we take this road now, this opens the door to the next question - what happens when Triihouse discovers another 'improvement' along the way? Do we ALL get another free Lily just cause the old one was 'obsolete'?

I don't know if i am getting an old one or new but as a matter of principal and as long as the Lily cranks out vapor like a decent vape, i won't be asking for a free replacement.

I agree with what you are saying @tiukauleh but in this situation are they actually doing this because, due to unforseen pressure for whatever reasons, Triihouse released Lily to the general public earlier than they had wanted to, with slightly less than what they would generally deem to be an acceptable test period?

Therefore they just feel that they're doing what is right for thier early adoptors.

Maybe?

:peace:

EDIT: So far however, with regards to Triihouse products, I am saying all of this strictly from the perspective of 'Driving Miss Daisy'. @basement farmer & @RUDE BOY it's truly awesome to hear that you are more than happy with Lily the way she is & you have no plans to exchange her - just as it's equally awesome that anyone who is less than happy with their Lily will have the option to have the updated version. That's a lot of happy people

I'm with @tiukauleh on this.

If I had something to complain about, maybe I'd take Triihouse up on the replacement offer.

As it is, I feel that the product that was delivered to me was everything that it was said to be. I would feel kind of like an asshole if I did return it.....plus I'm not sure I want to give it up. I like it just fine.

I'll take Karma points in lieu of the replacement...does that sound fair?

I can understand why you feel this way...but I don't think the lotus analogy works. What you mention is a natural progression of the lotus cap...and how often do we get an update? I've had my same lotus cap for a couple years now. So why would they replace that cap? It's been used to death! And even if you bought one brand new, yes you're stuck with it! Because it works as the manufacturer intended. Not so much with the Lily.

With the lily...they caught on that the original design was a little flawed, and they knew it after a lot of feedback and their own learning process. With a deeper bowl, even vaporization will be easier I bet. Plus the glass is good to go, now. Triihouse definitely has a customer for life...by the way, I have the newest version, so I won't be eligible, and I wouldn't want to be. I have a feeling this generous gesture by Triihouse will only be taken up by some folks, not all.

I wonder if the Lily is going to be a whole replacement or are they just going to modify most of them as able to the new revision? If all they need to do is round some corners, deepen the bowl, change parts, etc? There's still an enormous amount of labor costs, shipping costs, profit loss from not working on other things, etc but would it would ease the sting a bit. Still an incredible gesture on Triihouse's part and shows a ridiculous amount of integrity.

I don't currently even own any Triihouse products but will definitely be a future customer with how this company conducts business.

Mine is good and they have done more than enough for me to be a customer for life..my only complaint is that I think they might be testing. The product a little much and then they seem to gwt quite forgetful on the shipping department..ive had three shipments and still have only got my one intake but I do have three butter and 3 stainless mouthpieces;-) so I will be ordering a few intakes and so forth..just hope its right:-)

I wouldn't know the primary reason they are doing this but the fact remains - INITIAL reviews on the unit were great. And Triihouse said "....REPLACING EVERYONE'S FOR FREE." and if it was just the early adoptors, well that's what the discounted pricing is for.

The main reason for me is the stow hole for the periscope is loose and the Periscope can just fall out. Simple I know but I really hate the way it is. I have been wedging in pieces of paper towel to hold it secure and I don't like doing that.

You'd like a new free vape because Triihouse tweaked his product, i understand that. , and @steama, you probably earned it with all the feedback/info you provided which caused the tweak in the 1st place.

I can understand why you feel this way...but I don't think the lotus analogy works. What you mention is a natural progression of the lotus cap...and how often do we get an update? firstly, the vapor cap for the Lotus has been changed multiple times. So the cap that 'can be used to death' has newer versions too. i'm sure the manufacturer had reasons for the modifications. There has been bowl size adjustments as well, as far as i can tell. And i honestly feel that if the person had bought based on what he read on the FC thread, the person would know that it is not a 'final product' and with probable future tweaks in store. I apologize if i assume too much.

As for the lily, there was some feedback due to some minor designing issues as the product goes through it's evolution. i think the 'original design' had great reviews so i wouldn't go so far as to call it flawed.

Look guys, i understand that some of you will feel differently and it's all well & good as long as Triihouse is cool with this.

edited for grammar and clarity.

Well I guess they must be cool with it as they have made the offer.

& I seriously doubt that they would knowingly make a decision that would cause damage to their business.

So is this all a moot point?

Again, maybe.

My bet is the number of replacement Lily's will be extremely limited. People that got them early were pretty few compared to how many jumped on the bandwagon later. Even those that got earlier versions may not choose to take this offer. The early Lily's were pretty awesome just as they are.

Ridiculous integrity feels nice for a change — it is so rare! Triihouse is going to be rewarded many fold for doing business like this. I think every single Triihouse fan here will recommend their products even more aggressively. Why? Because they are great products and so are the people that make them.

100% agree with the steam man here.

I find it quite telling that the subject of taking advantage of Triihouse is just even more evidence of their great customer service perspective and our tremendous respect for them as customers, they care about us and we care about them. In some other vaporizer threads (ahem emmdeemo avatar) the torch bearing lynch mobs that have formed I don't think would even find a free replacement adequate compensation for terrible cs.

I feel quite humbled that my suggestion made it into the design changes. The others such as larger and deeper hole also sound quite appealing. Free replacement or not, I'm sticking with Triihouse as a customer, I just have to support a US based company that operates in a way I greatly approve, they exceed expectations every time something comes up. It doesn't hurt that their products have been eye-openers for me. :o

Two friends were here last night when I first read Tommy's update. Both are now convinced they'll be buying Triihouse vapes, partly due to the update.

I still think @tiukauleh kind of nailed it.

With exception to the beta testers,

If Triihouse hadn't just come out and made the offer, pretty much everyone would've gone through life blissfully unaware that there were minor fixes in the works. And when it did become apparent that there was a V2.0 available or whatever, I doubt too may people would've had the expectation of a full replacement.

I think that, unless you are unsatisfied with the product, you should live with your purchase decision. Anything else is kind of taking advantage of someones better nature.

But that's just me.

Now if Triihouse were some part of a huge international corporation that employed sweatshop labor in it's manufacturing process...then hell yeah, I'd be all about sticking it to the man.

Maybe for those of us who are happy with our lily the could offer up a discount on getting some extra glass and orings like the mentioned will come with the newest version of the lily. Doesnt matter really, I got what I paid for and am very happy with my purchase its just a bonus to see that there customer service may even reach the underdog realm of awesomeness (I ruined my first underdog in a way that is definitely not covered under warranty but dave still shipped me out a new one free of charge before I even sent the old broken one back).

But I'm already so attached to my glorious wood.

I would be interested if they would allow me to return her to be 'enhanced'.
