New update guys.

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from China for the mid-March update! Just before we left, we hosted the (http://www.vaporizerwizard.com/grasshopper-vapo...) at our lab in Colorado. He’d expressed interest in coming by to review the Grasshopper, and we were ready to show it off. Our trip overseas has been progressing smoothly so far, and we’ve already visited several of the factories that are working for us. The value of the trip is already showing itself, and we feel good about having more oversight over the process.

Buzz, the Vapor Wizard, arrived at our lab last Saturday to get the run-down on the Grasshopper. We gave him the tour and turned him loose with a Grasshopper while we continued work as usual. We allowed him almost complete access, and he stayed through the weekend, picking our brains on the design and operation. He should be following up with a review and more information very soon.

We arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday night, kicking off a two-week trip to oversee manufacturing of some of the most important parts of the Grasshopper. Our first visit was to our PCB assembly factory. Blank panels of Grasshopper circuit boards arrive here, and automated pick-and-place machines arrange the components. After propagation, the PCBs are baked to bond the components to the PCB. This process is followed by inspection, testing, packaging and shipping.

This week we’ll be visiting the battery factory, the molding facility, the machining factory, the PCB fabricator, and the cable manufacturer. From there, we’ll make a 2nd and 3rd visit to the production lines that require the most attention. The titanium and color units are being made while we’re here, and pictures will be posted once completed. Production is moving smoothly so far, and we expect to have Grasshoppers shipping in bulk soon after we return.

In the indiegogo campaign they wrote "CNC machining has been sourced to an Australian manufacturer, which lowers costs without sacrificing quality". Now it's unclear if there's anything at all not made in China.

They also wrote "Grasshopper will be 100% hand assembled at our own facility in the USA", now if by that they meant "we plug the battery and screw the cap for you"...hmmm...

I got nothing against made in China, but once again to me it really looks like deceptive tactics.

Alright I said I would take a break and come back only when it's released, but it looked like it was... excepted it was just a false alarm... I'll crawl back to my cave...

Things change I guess? You can have all the good intentions in the world and still wind up being Hitler(Just an extreme example).

I mean the pen clips were also suppose to be flush in the final version, not that I mind anyways, but I can probably point out a couple things that went different during the process of creating this vape.

Hard to tell from that angle ,
but I doubt they would be displaying any
negative aspects to potential American buyers .:2c:

True. It takes truly horrendous conditions to show up as quality control issue in the final product. Still my American butt considers that stool a negative aspect.

And more on topic. those wonderful pics of the product boxes. As I understand, the units will be retail boxed in the USA. But the boxes themselves-- are they made in the USA? Or are the boxes shipped flat from China and then assembled in the USA?

Go Grasshopper! Go (Somewhat) Made in USA!

Might be child labor and thats terrible but to be totally honest, I have known a lot of asian people in my years and I once met this one girl that was 35, she looked body and even face wise to an extent max 22.....

So there is that...

Can we get a indiegogo for new chairs though, that looks terrible....maybe an indiegogo for heaters also?

No, the boxes for parts are made AND assembled in China. See below (including detailed assembly instructions):

Once GH receive these parts, they are assembled and the final product will be packaged accordingly in USA made boxes custom designed for the Grasshopper by this guy:

They might need the environment to be cool, better that than too hot for sure!

Child labor.....better to be working in a factory than doing some other unsavory work. I read an article about child labor in India where people think they are helping kids by stopping them from working at factories for $2 a day, but then they end up working the garbage dumps for half that.

-All vapes smell, this one should not be bad since its instand on and off.
-From what I heard, you don't need to grind, IMO this goes for most vapes though, I don't own a grinder...haha, I know someone will say this is crazy but I never noticed a difference when I did own a grinder with any of my vapes....

Hope you don't mind me answering the questions here, I am sure Buzz will give his 2 cents also, just saying what I heard by following this thread.
