I must admit I was a bit surprised myself when I ripped off the screen.

It was my first and only vape and I used it quite extensively every day for about 6 months.

I wouldn't, but the only way to reclaim this would be to heat it... :/

Not like its a competition, actually we would probably be on the ass end of a best looking LB competition which is a bad thing, but i can assure you all that my LB is way filthier than that one. Inside, on the screen, and even the wood on the outside would probably make some of you that are shocked at that cringe. I used to be super anal about it but ii lost my cleaning brush like 4 months ago and am too damn lazy to go tot he hardware store. My light is so coated in resin that you can hardly see it at all, if i ever need to warranty it i need to work on my "clearing" after you take out the battery alot.

I started reading this thread in July of '11 and made the jump on the MFLB in mid August. I was in love with it the first time I used it, showed it to some of my heavy smoker friends and they didn't like it too much because they liked the visual of smoke and just never had faith in it ( converted a non believer with a kief trench and a water bottle bong though ).

A few months after having it I convinced one of my other friends to buy him for him and his girlfriend and they didn't believe in it before trying it and now their hooked!

I never really bothered to write a raving review of it because there were already SOOOOOO many out there, but I wish I had from the get go because this seems like a great bunch of people here! I've used just about every day since I've had it minus days where I smoke ( yea I know fuck combustion, but theres just something about the feeling of sitting on the beach with a nice J and relaxing ). I've read every single page of this thread and made the jump on the PA just last week after reading everyone great reviews of it, Vitolo and the rest of you guys who made videos are awesome because thats why I got it after seeing them.

Ordered it last weds as a spur of the moment I really need this thing in my life even though I cant afford it purchase, got tracking info on it the next day, it was delivered from CA to FL overnight, sat in West Palm for a day and would have been to me sat morning had the mail not gotten messed up at school, I checked my mailbox 10x a day waiting for it, like a kid on Christmas morning lol.

Anyway..
One hit of the mflb with the PA and I knew I had to come on here and say something...if you ever use your box at home and dont have a PA you are missing out on sooooo much awesomeness...It's completely changed the box and I use it even more now. I live in the dorms at college and I never felt comfortable letting my friends try it because I was afraid they would combust, now though I can set it low on the PA and theres almost no chance of them doing it, it also makes it alot easier to teach willing newbies!

I've just noticed over the past week of having the awesome PA that if you put it to the middle of the dial or higher you get a very head sativa high, mind you I have a very strong sativa strain right now ( blew my mind ) the high was like no other, I played basketball with a friend after us both killing a trench for like 3 hours, I never do stuff like that..it was like adderal weed lol. I just figured I'd try turning it down becasue my herb was still very green but no longer had a good taste, turning it down not only brought the taste back but also has given me more of an indica type high off of the same stuff that got me energized earlier today.

I have always loved my MFLB since day 1, no smell, saves money on product, is just awesome, has a great family working on making it better, everything about it is amazing and I try to get everyone I know to buy one!

I always used to say it was the best $120 I've ever spent, now I say it was the best $200 I've ever spent!!!

P.S. Cleaned my stems last week before seeing Vitolos video on the cotton ball thing, just decided to try it so I got what little resin was on my stem and put it in the box on a little cotton and wooooooooooooow :

I think, that Vaporisateur's box is just average dirty. My box is the same. And imo people, who experience goo coming out when they inhale - they have MUCH thicker layer of it. MAybe it can look dosgusting, but that is not realy much. It is just by the angle you are looking at it that makes it look worse, than boxes we have.

You are absolutely correct Seek! The picture I posted does not give justice to my box and it makes look worst than it is. The resin is hard as a rock and is covering the bulb entirely though.

It could nearly be enough though that an enthusiastic prosecutor in an unsympathetic jurisdiction could make a case for drug possession (or trafficking if it's posted), rather than paraphernalia? I mean, it does look like you could scrape enough off for a few dabs.

You are right WatTyler. I just reacted to these disgusted reactions as it is not dirtier than boxes we all have. It can look bad, but it is just some resin. But I wouldn't send a box anywhere in this state.

Don't worry, it's not leaving my premises and noboby can charge me with anything, I have an MJ license and this is obviously residue, not transformed product.

That being said, I intent to make a ceremony this summer and burn down the box in my backyard fireplace. Perhaps I could post a video of that here too

Vape the box! Fuck combustion

Since the Box is now decommissioned there's no reason not to soak it in ISO and reclaim the resin.

I would like to take that box... and hook it up to proper tubing... and get the open trench hole facing the heat source from another larger convection vape (whip/wand style... no names given out of thread respect).... and I would love to vape straight through that gooey wooden "window to the world of oil"!!!
Right straight through that box I would vape it.. as if the box were a bed of ABV!

You should definitely harvest that before you burn that box!

Just saw my friends MFLB. Both got ours at the same time - and to be fair I have generally taken better care - but I've cleaned mine up & waxed and buffed it over the last few days. It makes a huge difference. Mine is all smooth, clean and glossy while his looks a bit worn and rough.

So, go buy some wax, mineral oil or some other wood treatment and start rubbing your boxes.

Remember people - a MFLB is for LIFE not just for Xmas - treat it well.

I have some hemp hand oil from The Body Shop, and I am going to use a little bit of that on my regular and exotic MFLB next week.

Vicki, before you do just check what the ingredients are. You really want a raw mineral oil - if it's got lots of nasty additives I'd steer away from it as you don't know how the'll affect you if inhaled or how it will affect the wood - you don't want it bleaching that lovely dark wood. Other than that I like the idea of using hemp oil. I wonder if anyone has had experience treating wood with hemp oil?

I received my MFLB from Overstock.com yesterday. It turned out to be the kit with the lock top. This made me very happy as I paid 99.95 with free shipping.

So far I'm using it mostly native. It doesn't taste great so I may switch to the glass tube. But I am hoping to stick with the native when I'm out and about.

I'm loving it and I see me taking good care of it for years to come.

When you say it doesn't taste great what do you mean. My personal experience is that it is one of the best tasting vaporizers I use.

I know that new MFLBs run quite a bit hotter for the first few days of use as the 'break-in' a little bit. New users can tend to burn their herb due to the learning curve / hotter box combination. Make sure your not getting any black bits as that means your burning your herb. And also, a very important point, shake after every hit to mix the load up and prevent one bit sitting on the bottom getting scorched.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (Emollient), Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Fragrance (Fragrance), Tocopherol (Antioxidant).

That all looks fine - had to look up Tocopherol but that seems fine too - except the Fragrance bit. Be wary in case it makes your goodies taste like perfume. Even if it's just a tiny amount of fragrance, the mild heat from the MFLB will enhance that fragrance and you might end up tasting it.

I guess a way to test is to rub a bit in your skin fully, give it 5 mins and see if you can smell anything. Otherwise, if you have any doubts, you can just pick up some bees wax / butchers block oil off ebay or something like that.

It has a wood taste if that makes sense. I'm assuming the box needs to heat and cool for a few more times. I've only used a whip vaporizer prior to this one and when it's clean the taste of the medical dank can tickle my tongue it's so good.

Your right on that one mscm88, you will get a bit of a wood taste at the start but it will diminish, especially hitting it native. I'm using mine now and I definitely can't taste the wood any more.

You'll need to clean it reasonably regularly to stop it getting a bit smelly (of herby goodness) and don't forget to clean under the screen - just look at the last page or 2 and you'll see why!

I find that the stem can really smell strong, so if your carrying that around don't forget to give it a little clean too before you leave the house. But I'd seriously consider an acrylic stem or wooden stem from Ed's TnT for when your out and about because they are much less likely to break when dropped - especially the acrylic. I say this because I have managed to drop and break my glass stem, as I'm sure many have. Now I use the acrylic when out - though I just ordered a nice new exotic wood stem from Ed's TnT to add a bit of class to my LB.

Last thing is I seriously recommend, now that you have a nice new & clean box, that you wax / polish your box to maintain that clean, smooth look. You know what they say "Prevention is better than cure" so prevent that MFLB from getting tatty and wax it up!

I'm going to apply it to a small test area and then use the box as usual. If everything seems fine, I'll go ahead and apply it very sparingly to the rest of the box.

My LB actually burned cooler until it was broken in. I guess they vary. Mind you, mine is about 2 years old now, so maybe that has changed over time. But mine burns hotter now than when I got it. Come to think of it, it also could be because I started using Eneloop bayteries, which I swear by.
