So,

where do you get these? And any European suppliers known?

Only once I can find here in Europe are 50micron, which is still way to big...looking for some 25 and 10micron meshes...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say use 50 mesh, and then make whatever your working with in to a solution with a liquid and run it thru a vacuum filter settup, with whatever size Whatman filter paper you desire, then evaporate the liquid of the liquid and have a nice filtered end product, without any really small steel mesh.
Or ya know here it is, but not in europe.

Just mailed them to see if I can order outside of PayPal... Only have finding on cc from Spain and my original PayPal account was created in the Netherlands so it will not let me add it to my account...

Let's see if they can help me out with this...

Sorry for back to back post...

Finally ordered from 361t wholesale as suggested. They actually responded to my mail asap even though it is Saturday. So I am very pleased with that and can advice then to others.

So 25and50 micron screens on their way. Could I also use these in my blasting tube? Would that be better then the coffee filters?

The screens will definitely work better than coffee filters. If you find that 25 micron does not clean your extract to your liking, send me a pm and I will mail you some 10 micron screens. I use 10 micron for qwet extraction and I notice a world of difference since switching from 50 micron.

Maybe a stupid question, but where did you find the 10micron screens? Did I really look so bad on their site? Could only see 25 and 50micron...

I will take you up on that offer if needed! Thank you for that.

Little update, they(316twholesale) actually got back to me yesterday and gave me a tracking number!!! Talk about service...they get both of my thumbs up!

I blast thru two 25 micron screens. My next experiment will be to include a coffee filter BETWEEN the two 25 micron screens. I found the 10 micron to be too stiff to form properly onto my tube YMMV.

I use a 10 micron from 316t cut to fit a Buchner funnel with a #1 lab filter on top and a Buchner vacuum filtering flask to catch all my ethanol seems to work really well and 316t even included some free 25 micron screens with my order very nice company to deal with

I have a similar setup @lonelyhero. Mine is giant though. I tend to keep my solvent solution at 100ml or less, so the volume of the flask is too large. Been pouring winterized solvent gently through a 10 micron screen resting in a stainless collander/strainer. Sorry to derail with tek.......

Well, all information is welcomed, so keep it coming

Ps, they are discussed in several tek specific threads already, but there is not really one point of information as to what for they can and cannot be used...
