Cheap High Quality Bubbler

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I looked at various models of glass but there are too many.
I can't understand the differences ... are a little ignorant I need a pipe to a pen-injector (steaming); Honeycomb, coffee mode?????? For me this is Arabic (with all due respect I have for them).
There are no instructions on this fantastic forum on various pieces of glass?
Peace and love

Read something about Chinese quartz being cut with metal, by someone who makes very quality american quartz bangers. Think im going to just order a quave banger with my savings on the kathy egg and steven diffusion pump. Dont think the 100$ saved on a banger is worth the potential healthrisk. He didnt provide evidence but said when trying to fuse american and chineese quartz it wouldnt combine..

Just figured id let you guys know.. Use your own judgement.

And the bashing of Chinese products by overpriced American manufacturers still going on, first titanium and now Quartz? Why would anybody cut Quartz with metal? does he have evidence? do you know Quartz glass is made out of pure silica, one of the cheapest material on earth.

Not doubting you and health risks are nothing to laugh at, however, American glassblowers have been warning evils of the glass we use everyday bc it is from China and contaminated. I say it's completly possible that it is horseshit bc their "American quartz" was probably made in China too.

Anyone know of any smaller bubs with removable mouthpieces?

I've been looking for something small and stable I could use with a whip, preferably with female joints. I’m aware of the UFO piece that’s been discussed in the open source glass thread, but really looking for something more compact. Here’s what I’ve found so far along with reasons I’m still looking:
  • MF orbiter - Leaning towards this, but would prefer something without a stand.
  • $40 infamous - Little worried about stability.
  • Kathy piece - Height isn't ideal and perc looks kinda shitty (I’ve seen it with a 6-arm perc too).
  • Alina piece - Male joint and perc doesn’t look great.
  • Radiantglass piece - Used to have something like this and didn’t like how my nano hung off at an angle.

I have the last piece you posted there and its a pretty damn nice piece. One of my favorites.

Sadly its been moved out of the rotation for now but Im sure it will make its way back in. Ive hung TWO Evos off this guy without a problem. The base is pretty sturdy.

Sorry for getting your hopes up but it is almost $420. Tried to link a couple of the images but they were all together in a long chain. Looks better than some of the American eggs I have seen on instagram though.

forgive me if this has already been posted, but I just ran across this online vendor that seems to be shopping at DHgate, prices are not that high for resale, I'm assuming they are shipping from inside the US, though I could not verify that... anyone have any experience with these guys? http://www.420elite.com/headshop/glass-water-pipes.html
This guy is definitely doing 80%+ of his shopping on DHgate, and then pretty much just adding a 50-100% markup and reselling. I'd be interested to find out what his other source is though... I guess if you'd never heard of DHgate and didn't know anything but American glass, this would still be a bargain in your mind. I'd feel ripped off if I then found DHgate, though... As for all of us, we obviously know better already.

What I find most interesting about all of this is the names they've come up with for all the DHgate products... Some seriously random stuff. They call the d020-D the "Alo Barrel Percolator," they call the d-cycler the "train wreck vortex," that cheap babycake is listed as "Napoleon bubbler," the barrel-to-funnel is the "guardian tyre perc," and I found the YQ-42 listed twice (with a $10 price difference,) as both the "silent killa honeycomb birdcage perc" and the "romulan perc." WTactualF? :hmm:

just a heads up to You and others considering the orbiter.

the orbiter glass floats about in its base a little which is to be expected with slippery glass sitting on wood.not enough to tip or affect function with a heavy portable like the solo connected to it though.

the wire arm does not hold the glass bowl in the wood base completly solid is all.i have tried repositioning the wire arm to hold it firmer but it still slips.

The orbiter would be perfect with a glass nipple welded onto the centre of the glass sphere and a hole in the wood base to recieve it allowing rotation of the glass without the glass sliding off center.

I have been using mine a walnut version for a few months and my only gripe is repostioning the glass to keep the downstem vertical.i like my stuff functional , but also solid.I wish MF had secured the glass to the base better.

saying that the orbiter functions very well allows a perfect view of vaporisation and suits the draw restriction of the solo and milks the orbiter perfectly.

i had thought of that and have purchased some clear silicone to add to a syringe for that very purpose.

I have intended to remove the glass and place dots or thin rings of silicone on the glass and when dry to place the glass back on its stand.

I ll see how i go and let You know.

I have emailed hobbit of MF and pointed MF development to the above posts.

Edit: i placed 8 dots of silicone around the base of the glass and it helps for sure.I padded the silicone dots with a soapy finger to flatten the spots.they provide necessary grip needed to hold the glass steady, although I would prefer a nippled base to keep everything clean looking overall.

Hey so I was looking at a new seller named "smokeshop420" creative i know lol

They have some nice looking pieces though.

http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/thick-glass-water-pipes-swiss-perc-glass/231229402.html
Heres a inline to swiss and the inline look higher quality than usual (separated holes instead of slits)

http://www.dhgate.com/product/glass-recycler-water-pipes-oil-rigs-with/231329340.html
Heres a incycler just like kathys with more slits in the circ perc. Only difference is when I asked to see a water test they responded within minutes with this

I don't have a ton of experience with these pieces so I have no idea if its functioning perfectly but I'm sure someone here will know enough to see whats right and wrong

EDIT: Also I just found this - http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/recycle-glass-water-pipe-vapor-oil-rig-clean/217037242.html
Ridiculously over priced for Chinese glass but still looks a lot like some of distilled glass's pieces.

The set up on the last link picture looks familiar, wasn't s an FC member working with him in the past to develop some designs?
I won't call it greed, but a few sellers have outrageous prices, still lower than American, but one thing they don't understand is that no matter how good their pieces look to the original they are not worth close to the original, and why is that? For one the resale value is not there like in the original design piece.
I just received a Wings of Liberty Incycler and I can say it rivals a lot of the American made pieces 5 times its value, best Chinese glass I have gotten to date, and I only paid $76.00 and I would have gladly paid $100.00 for it, but I bought it at 75% off, no way I would have paid his original asking price, they are no longer available, he sold out but he also raised his price already, good luck trying to sell them at the original asking price.
Btw, the vortex in this piece is wicked, it seems to go on forever, no doubt this guy knows his glass, and I bet he has been exposed to the real thing, this thing is flawless.

Edit: if you don't mind waiting 30+ days get it before he raises the price more, it is worth it. and I don't know what turbocharged means, lol.

I was reading through a description on a random smokeshop420 piece when the words "thanks, from the CleanClearGlass team". Caught my eye. Caveat emtor.

Yeah it seems like he has a lot of CCG piece but they have new stuff too so I'm not sure if they're just reselling or partial partners or how they're doing it exactly

Anyone wanna weigh in on the Incycler though? I really want one but not sure what to look for functionally

On a Möbius plane
As requested :)

I honestly think something is still a bit off with this.

Is the vortex supposed to come from water entering the three holes in the funnel. Or does water come up the return tube and vortex around. It would appear that the harder I pull the more chance of water up the neck. However i am not sure this should be happening.

I ordered from ccg a hand full of times cuz I liked their pieces. But I've had wrong pieces arrive and multiple broken pieces. The broken pieces were resolved after bad communication and them trying to get me to order another piece to ship it with. I didn't even bother trying to exchange the wrong piece.

But from what I've been hearing they haven't been so bad. So I tried them again with the dcycler and it's currently being shipped.

On a different note has anyone had a China piece go through St. Paul, MN? It's a first for me, I'm on the east coast nd they usually come through NY.
