i seriously cannot wait to start getting a knockoff Mothership collection going. Just being able to hit a piece with those designs is a pleasure, much less owning functional reproductions of each one of them! Is there any talks of a ball rig being made? It's definitely one of their more simple designs.

Those whip attachements for the UFO are nice! The whole thing looks very functional. What's the diameter of the glass tubes / what size of silicon tubing would be necessary? What happened to the huge base? The bigger base on the last version seemed a bit over the top but untippable also. The joint connection looks a bit more fragile. Would it make sense to add a keck clip? I really appreciate the work you're putting into this, blankrider. Thanks a lot!

Yeah for new pipe day!

Got too excited and took a dab at too low of a temp. Still working on my torch-craft. ;)

Where should the water level be? @DieHard in your video it looks like it comes up to the bottom of the slant cut tube? Very nice flavor. 5 minutes later I can still taste the dab in my mouth.

I heard back from Kathy about my tracking number issue. She said "very sorry the epcket lost the product we sent you again today checking tomorrow thank you" Not sure what that means, but just like the 710 (and most of life) I just have this kind of luck. 710 was worth the wait though. Just need to throw an extra purge on these oils from Omega Labs and I'll have a nice stash to use on this baby.

Edit to add total shipping time of 36 days.

Mine showed today as well. From time to order to time of delivery was 41 days. By far the longest piece Ive ever waited for. Ill probably give Steven another try.

Im REALLY surprised this thing showed in one piece, tho.. Steven's packaging isnt near as bomb proof as other sellers.

@PoopMachine I am happy your glass finally showed up. If the packaging isn't that great it might be because it was shipped out so long ago. I spoke with him about improved packaging a while back and since then my last couple shipments have been very secure.

Apparently we are not getting a video for the new FC-UFO. I guess they broke it after taking pictures. Since the first 65mm prototype functioned well Steven is confident in the 75mm model and is going straight to mass production. I told him to make 50 for this first batch and more in the future if it sells well. Hopefully they will be ready soon for you guys who have been waiting

I can see water pooling in that fc-ufo piece. Like it does in the d020-d from sss. Id see if he can make the can taller?

I'd also like a slightly taller can and 65mm instead of 75mm, but that would make it more top-heavy. Because many of those interested in this want to use it with a whip, it needs to be short and wide to keep the center of gravity low.

Hey everyone, I have been discussing new designs with Steven to consider producing. I suggested a Klein recycler like this but he said it will take a while to get a prototype made because it is a difficult design.

Hopefully he will be able to get this made but I figured maybe we could discuss some designs that would be simple to produce. Like these

Also I don't know if I have seen a large cake rig or one with a female joint so I suggested that.

I just got shipping tracking notification for the YS006, ordered on 1/26/2015

Sadly I tried to finagle(that's a nice word for tring to cheat) DHGate with the mobile app Coupon and they cancelled my YS004 order. Honestly I am amazed at the oversight from DHGATE. I had to install the app on a brand new phone(because new emails on the same phone wouldn't work), use a brand new email, and STILL they caught me b/c I used the same shipping address. A similar offer from a US company would have never resulted in a order cancellation b/c common sense would dictate the $10 coupon is less than the profit of the sale. But good on them for sticking to their morals and overlooking profit.

Well, since you asked for design ideas, I'll throw one out. I suggested this a long time ago but I think it got caught up in the fray...

I know we've already been making pillars and the full-size isn't even out yet, but especially now that Steven's got the hang of making them, I've been thinking a lot about these Vertigo pillar recyclers.
gfg-74-315.jpg

This is the most popular one and people seem to love it. The reviews are amazing and the function videos are really impressive. When you think about it, pillar function and recycler function seem meant to go together. The motion of the recycling would enhance the motion and cooling effect of the pillars, resulting in that extreme flavor/extremely smooth dabbing sweet-spot that so far only the fc-710 really fills...

I thought this was a pretty good function video (just ignore the last two pieces):

Here's another good one:

There's also an incycler version, which is less popular but also looks pretty dam cool IMO. This is a crappy pic, but the best I could find on the fly:
Vertigo_Pillar_Perc_Incycler_Reycler_Bong__76451.1415227704.1280.1280.jpg

And a function vid:

I don't like the mouthpieces on either one, but the function looks and is reported to be incredible. Hopefully people aren't already bored with the pillars as I think these show some real promise.

The new Torus prototype is completed and I am pretty frustrated. I have tried extensively to explain how to fix it and every time he makes a step in the right direction he changes something he had right to begin with.
As you can see he fixed the holes at the top of the funnel but for some reason changed the perc to this travesty. It is partially still going up the funnel because this perc is too restricted compared to the funnel tube.

I really hope that he gets it right next time :(

Ouch. What's with the curvey can? Were the other ones like that?

Yeah this one also appears to have a straight neck:doh:. I don't know what the hell happened:huh:. I told him to make just like last time but with 7mm holes at the top of the funnel. Last prototype he only did 2mm which was way too small. They just don't seem to understand how it is supposed to function. It is extremely disappointing :ugh:

I said this in the Custom glass thread, but i guess I'll say it here too..
I think Stevens torus would function much better with some restriction in the return tube, something like this:
BYgHc47.png

I think this torus needs a restricted return tube, bigger holes in the funnel, and more/bigger slits in the perc. Something like the D-cycler.

I really hope Steven figures this out, because i really want a cheap torus incycler.

I wish the link to the Wings of Liberty was still up, in it there was a detailed video of all the internals to get a good idea of how it was going to function, that's what made me buy it in the first place, I know if Steven would have seen it he would have had it right the first time.

I am glad that there are ppl like you on this forum for noob glass buyers like myself and others. When I watched the video, I would never have thought anything was wrong. If you don't mind, I would like to pick your brain on some cheap glass I bought.
