The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Those two extra bumps are on purpose. I find that it's easiest to insert the mouthpiece at an angle pressing in one of the clips. Then I use my finger to press in the other one as I work the mouthpiece back in to place.

Sorry, I should've been clearer. Yes there are 2 extra bumps which are supposed to be there. The plastic lumps I'm referring to were on 2 of the other legs. They looked melted for want of a better expression. I took them off with a craft knife. I've just received the replacement cooling unit from S&B & looked at the mouthpiece. No extra melted bumps & I've had no problem whatsoever removing & refitting this one

I stand by my statement as sound advice. Also you can hold your hits in for longer lol. Now that is ironical. Don't worry, I don't know how to be offended

I have been having quick email responses from S&B about my Mighty issues. I hope this 3rd email with a long description of my problem will help them warranty my unit. In their defense they just don't know what is wrong with mine until they get it so it is easy for them to say it is a battery problem. I also made myself clear that if they expect me to pay $70-$90 to put new batteries in every 3 months it just isn't going to happen. We will see what comes of it all and for now I am just going to assume broken cooling fins are enough reason to replace my unit, lol.

Edit: very quick response from S&B, and I am very pleased with it. Basically saying to fill out the form and send it in, they do not expect there to be any charge for any service it needs.

S&B are taking two days to reply to me.

They asked me to undervalue the item when I sent it back to them. I told them that I could not do that as I work for Australia Post and that it is considered mail fraud. They apologised and told me that I didn't have to undervalue it.

I also had a lot of trouble fitting my mouthpiece. The first time I tried to reinsert it, I thought I was going to break the piece. However, after many sessions, it pops off and on easily. However, you have some deformed legs so totally different experience.

Ahh.. Carry on then. :) I might contact S&B soon to see how long my unit had been sitting on the shelf before I bought it. The battery seems weaker than I was expecting.

Whoops, I posted my message on the crafty, when I have the mighty. Michel, you are right about multiple use wear and tear. My cu bottom isn't even (looks wharped). I have #01742 and had an issue with the temperature and vibration but nothing that affected performance. I purchased mine on thanksgiving last year straight from s&b. Am I an early or late adopter? I think it is time to see what S&b can do to fix this issue of temperature and vibration, pass thru charging and upgrade to the newest version of its software. Everything with this vaporizer has been flawless. I feel this is the most dependable of my electronic portables because I never had a bad Session with the mighty (other than when it's in low battery mode).

Great to see you back here. You overread one of my endless posts, I was curious the hole time about your answer

I'm quite curious which vape you consider to be better for long sessions than the mighty? I never experienced this: now I have VAS and don't even know for which vape! :freak: Please help me to cure it!

I feel pity for all the dead mightys out there...
I thought I was an early adopter with serial around 2000 with my first unit

Storz and bickel got back to me about my broken case and said it would cost too much to repair and send back so I could purchase a new complete unit for 50 euro so I have paypal them already and I should have it next week, been without it for over a week already .....

Sorry to hear t dub. Is that your second mighty? And did the button just go all of the sudden?
No this is my first Mighty failure and it just "went" with no waring. My last return was Crafty for a broken top. I hope S&B has this out to me before I go to the coast. I wanna take it to the beach . . . :)

My vibration feature just started rattling and making 10 times as much noise as it used to. It's seriously annoying having it rattling right in your front of your face as the cut off and temp vibrations kick in.

It's funny how ppl can complain about opposite things. I want it to hit vibration temp, you are annoyed by a rattling vibration. Overall, it does what it needs to do. Medicate. What are ppl doing to improve their mighty experience? Any water attachments?

I forget what the little gizmo that causes the vibration is called but they are an off-center spinning kinda deal and if one of those came loose out of its housing then it would rattle around and make a huge racket.

Cool. Thanks for clarifying t dub. I hope before the 2 year they make some improvements and allow us to upgrade. I don't see these current mightys lasting more than a few years. All the best.

That's the bit. If I could open the unit I would be able to fix it. It rattles right underneath the Temp display.

Your's doesn't vibrate when it gets to temperature? That would suck.

My problem is annoying as it is rattling right in my face constantly. For a weeks pay I expected a much higher quality product to be honest.

I'm considering buying a Mighty.

What do you all think about waiting for the bugs to go out or not?

Used mine in pass though mode last night. Sucking long will lower chamber temp by 4-6 degrees C. More than 5degree drop keeps resetting timer. That timer should be 3 mins long!!! Not 1 min.

But oh man did I get ripped up good, slept well. Good flavour.

Has any one opened one up to see what makes em tick? I also got crafty comming tomorrow as a get out if mighty fails.

3 degrees are enough to reset timer.

Press once temp up button each time you draw. Resets the shut-off-timer and spares power button. And rises temps of course  . Unit does not vibrate at all if rising temp in 1-2 degrees steps.

I see you have a MV. Is it hitting harder in your opinion?

@McSheamus

I was even thinking to get a second one as backup

New member here. I've read most of this thread though. And I have a mighty that I got 5 days ago. I also have and use a volcano that I've had since June of 09. I've tried a few others, like extremes and pax, box types, pipe types and others. But only bought from S&B, at least so far.

So far I've been impressed with my mighty, and it's made the rounds of my inner circle and everyone seems to like it. And, I have heard a lot about the price, and i agree, but its my lungs and my wallet, if i die $470 poorer, so be it, lol. I've been using a tip from this thread to cap the bowl with a spare screen, and it works very well. It blows me away on how little I use! I'm a solid 2 gram a day vapor guy, lthough I leave rich herb to extract oils from, and now I doubt the mighty's left overs have anything. But anyway I'm doing about 6 half or three quarter bowls a day, and using <1 gram. A considerable savings.

So far I like it a lot. I have noticed it searches for the set temp outdoors in cold weather, and it takes longer to hit the set temp when the batteries are somewhat drained. I used it two days to get down to two bars, not bad i thought.

I think I like starting it at 375-380 then bumping that up to 400 then to 410. And finishing it in maybe 8 long draws of heavy vapor. The taste and effects when finishing at 410 are impressive. I mean the taste diminishes and it starts to taste cooked, but it never gets hot or tastes too bad for me to want to cough or anything. It's fully acceptable at high temps IOW. And like I mentioned so much buzz, from such a small amount of herb! I get a solid 3 hour buzz from less than a full bowl. Or about what I would get off a bag from my volcano using at least three times the herb.

I might get at some point a whip and arizer elbow, and a yet to be bought water pipe like the video posted in this thread. I have stretched an extreme q whip over the mouth piece so I'm thinking it will work, but would rather use surgical tubing me thinks. Enough of my rambling! Hi guys!

Haha. I use the same technique as my minivap, start inhaling at a moderate speed for the first five seconds, then really open up my lungs and pull harder and deeper til it taps me out. You also have to remember that I combusted for 15+ years and used tall bongs that required enormous lung capacity to snap the bowl thru in one hit. It was always competitive between me and my friends, so everyone developed "breathing muscles."

I can use the mighty like yourself if I took smaller pulls and did not start the session at the highest heat. I have other vapes that are better for long sessions. I love the mighty for the punch and quick medication. It hits hardest out of all my portables, yet the vapor is always cool.

I see you have both the Minivap and the Mighty.

As i can not find a thread on this matter, what is your opinion abouy both?
Flavour,cleaning, ease of use,...?

Thanks man!
