My air is awesome. Yet, I would like to report that both my all glass shorty stems (70mm) from Arizer had a larger diameter than the my four plastic tipped stems. My plastic tipped stems now all wobble and slide out very easily. Definitely not a deal breaker, but I would support (and purchase) additional replacement top gaskets to better fit the tips with smaller diameters. :2c:

Exactly so. The factory battery only, either as a replacement from an authorized dealer (or Arizer of course) or from our very own CentiZen who seriously researched this good stuff and bought a batch of the real deal from the maker and is selling them at about half price.

He started a thread on the topic somewhere, but once again I can't find it......

If your in Canada then it's a good deal but if your in the US and want 3 or less puffitup.com has them for $16.14 each after 15% discount and free shipping.

And my plain 14mm solo gong from planet vape ,over a year old, fits great in the Air.
Slightly looser than the stock air stems but won't fall out upside down.

One of the reasons why I bought this is because of the loose stem problems my Solo has, even with the O-Rings. My PVHE GonG is really loose in there. Is there a certain type of O-Ring that can fix this? I tried using two #10 DANCO O-Rings and I couldn't get the top on.

Dont you just love when youre reading away, and you read about people having problems with Arizer.. especially health issues....and then you get paranoid... and wanna take things apart...

ok maybe it was only me but damn. things like that get to me, i hate headaches.....

and yea ik its been debated.. but i worry about everything.. has the air been taken apart fully?

Im not accusing... just checking.

The stem I'm using isn't a high efficiency stem. I thought the oring size was 113 for solo
And I beleive @OF took the air apart and warned of getting it back together wasnt as easy as taking it apart .
look through the first 60 pages should be photos too.

Also on YouTube someone took a solo apart even the oven/bowl.

What health problems are you referring to?

When the difference is minuscule (~$5) is there really a point in trying to find alternative suppliers? Why not get it directly from Arizer or their affiliates and/or authorized retailers? The risk isn't worth the very low savings, in my opinion. You know without a doubt that the battery from Arizer is authentic and compatible but you're not sure if other places are selling the exact same models or whether they're authentic or just another knockoff with the same model number printed on the side.

I can quote it if you like but it was in the first few hundred pages of th solo thread. The only reason really why i brought it up was because i was wondering how similar in essence it would be to the solo, and should there be a reason just to open it up and see if it has any early production issues. idk man its just stuff i start to think when i read this crap randomly... when i could be using a bong and a magnifying glass.

Like i said, its just in my nature to question it regardless. It most likely is completley safe.

Youre prob better off not reading it rofl.

Edit: Since the Air isnt complained about in any way really should be enough to ease most peoples minds im sure.

Are you referring to the flaking/chipping of the bowl?
On the first Solos the bowls were black they were coated with Ceramic and it flaked off some early Solos
That's been fixed no more coated bowl just the same ss bowl in the Solo is in the Air.

No, i was referring to this one guy who experienced a noxious smell from it and would have those headaches (purportedly) thirty min later...

Its just crazy if it was some lol... crazy escapade, so i kinda just want to know... yaknow?:tinfoil:

I should mention i read about those posts, the ceramic?cement?, air flow, robot farts etc. I just cant find a picture of it fully disassembled.

No, there is not, at least not that anyone has spoken of. After taking mine apart (blowing the warranty) I can see no way to do such a patch here. After removing two tiny screws, self tapping into plastic, sure to be a problem for some you can get the SS cover off:
6V0F57D.jpg

On the right, at the bottom, you can see the soft seal you see peeking in. It's too soft I think to grip the stem and sits against the top (no room for a ring). The black bushing above that seal is where the 3 ribs guys call 'o-rings' (they're not really) that provide the fit. Stiff for a good grip on the correct size, at least for a while, but not compliant enough to adapt widely. That's a custom seal, I doubt Arizer will sell you one.

If you blow up the photo you can see the ribs at the top of the bore, above the threads that mate with the white plastic body.

Tight stem fit is not a supported feature, here or in Solo.

One other point, it was never intended for owners to venture in this far I think, there was a burr on the mouth of the SS cover that prevented me from putting it back on without filing and sanding.

This seems like a good time to remind the rest of us that haven't read the Solo thread that Arizer has stated that the stems are supposed to fit loosely in the Solo. The o-rings are an aftermarket idea to help us not break glass if it does slip out from being on your lap or some such.

Did anyone mention that brand new Airs are on sale for $169. through Puffitup? Sorry if it's been said. I saw the "Last Call" Air. You don't get a full warranty with that. You would have to ask Randy if it's like 90 days or something a little less?

So glad the EBay Airs were legit, a good deal for sure. The warranty will be good then. Make sure you register the warranty and keep your receipt.

The Air vaporizers have had very few faulty units, here on FC anyway. Arizer makes quality products.

Thanks OF,
FYI, I purchased a Solo Oring from PIU for my Air. It definitely fits, but doesn't aid in better fitting stems. Maybe a slightly thicker Oring?

Regardless, I feel that the soft seal (bottom right in your image) could be redesigned with a slightly decreased diameter and increased thickness to aid in "loose" stems. Maybe an alternative seal made of a more rigid material? Definitely easier said than done. I'm still a happy camper, rocking multiple Airs.

You're not looking for a thicker o-ring, the thickness is what prevented the Solo caps from fully closing and we had to cut/sand them down thinner. You'll want to pick up an o-ring with the same thickness but a smaller inner diameter. Do you have calipers that can measure the inner diameter of the black seal? You'll want an o-ring with a slightly smaller ID.

Thanks Q,

You're correct in your statement...but, no calipers here. Anyone know the ID of stock PIU solo Orings?

Hmm... Register the warranty?? Maybe i should look for my receipt and do that too then...

Im not seeing any instructions to register the warranty? In the owners manual at the back it says to retain proof of purchase for warranty service but thats all im seeing... Am i missing something??

Your call, of course, but IMO 'working just fine' doesn't make it a good idea or sound advice. I trust CentiZen. I too have an assortment of otherwise great 18650s but bought a couple of factory spares to use, IMO 'cheap insurance'. That's my recommendation.

And it preserved the warranty. Something I think guys thinking about it should consider?
