Picked up a g of the terpiest sap I've ever gotten or seen before. Marimeds indica trim processed by Dabble Extracts. The smell is absolutely ridiculous.

In the middle of processing a bunch of Chemdawg trim for a buddy and decided to pick out all the little popcorn nuggs and do a small run. Came out really nice. Probably the cleanest smoothest BHO I've ever dabbed.

Made some shatter the other night!
The strain was DreamTonite which is a cross between blue dream and kryptonite. It is definitely a sativa dominant hybrid. This was home grown by the way. My first crop ever
I blasted 44g of popcorn nugs and got 5.5g of this yellow goodness. 12.5% yield isn't too bad for popcorn nug from my understanding
I'll be blasting some of the top nugs soon so I expect at least an 18-20% yield. I hope haha
However, the taste isn't that great![:\](/i/s/hmm.gif "Hmm :\")
It's a little harsh but still dabable for sure. Just not as tasty as other stuff I've had.
I'm kicking myself in the ass for wet trimming
I read that it is faster and more convenient so that sounded good to me but it really fucked with the smell/taste.
The plant smelled so much better when it was finishing flowering. I'll definitely hang the whole plant to dry next time then do a dry trim after 10-14 days of drying. That should preserve the smell/taste much better
I'm hoping curing the top nugs for a while helps my wet trim fuck up but if not no worries. Live and learn right?
Anyways here's the end product from the popcorn nugs. Looks great. Taste just isn't there.
Maybe I should just turn this slab into shatter pills and hope the nug run turns out tastier after the nugs have cured longer.

My buddy and I were running 36g of dreamtonite nug. Coffee filters broke. Everything is ruined
Im very bummed right now to say the least. But luckily no one was hurt. We were both wearing masks and protective eye glasses
I've always only used 2 coffee filters. Never had a problem doing 40+ runs. So I don't know if the tube was packed too tight (tighter than normal which doesn't seem likely) or if the new coffee filters I bought were thinner. Rest assured I'll be using about 4 filters now and a stainless steel screen for extra safety. Live and learn.
We are going to do the other 70g of dreamtonite nug we have left in a couple of days. We are both too bummed right now and feel like luck isn't on our side at the moment. We need a few days to recuperate before we do the rest.
Hopefully the next batch will turn out better. I don't think it can get any worse right?

I've always used 4 filters just to be extra safe. Can definitely say I don't think it's possible to break 4 filters. I've packed this tube tighter than I ever should have and it's fine. Even sometimes when I half pack and the whole log shoots to the end of the tube its never broken.Sad day here.

I don't think the coffee filters rob any oil. I always run a little extra tane at the end to remove any resin that may be on the coffee filters. The filters are never very sticky after I remove them
But does just using a SS screen allow tiny bits of material to pass through? Or do you use a really fine mesh screen?
