I was appreciating this last night after my tbreak. A good vape really needs to have a full range of dosage possibilities. How much do you vape? An extra battery should give you the same battery life as the solo. Now if you run it back to back and need a bunch of sessions then it can over heat. For me personally I have only been able to trigger it once. Other than that shouldn't be a difference from your solo. Your solo is a good daily driver?

If its for around the house and you said heavy use. Get a good desktop.

You're welcome.

I don't see any reason why it's not suitable, provided your 'heavy daily usage' isn't out of line of course.

Got my shorty in, it got shortened. Then i shortened the turbo even more. I will keep the shorty turbo as is when it gets delivered. It will be my one long stem.

I also have another 60mm and another 70mm.... But i didnt feel like cleaning them for the picture. The 2 PVHES were freshly "clean" after the mod jobs anyways so i figured it was a good time to snap a photo.

LMAO!!

Im done messing with them now... for the most part anyways. I do prefer the shorter stems.. And now this turbo is better than ever for me. Its just a 1/4" or so bigger than the 70mm stem with MP..

The shorty is awesome for quick sessions, the turbo gets better air flow though... The shorty turbo will be the ticket for quick sessions, while the full sized turbo will be better for down time.

Bought the air today off of eBay
$174 and it comes with an extra battery and free shipping.
Cannot wait for this!!!

Stop me if you guys figured this out ages ago in the Solo or Air threads. They are just so big I've never read them all the way through.

So I started lifting the stem out of the unit just a hair...enough to not be touching the bottom. it increased air flow and convection. My whole nug @biohacker didn't get as dark and the taste lasted longer. I had a full session on Green and a second one on Red. Both were great all the way through to the shutoff. I never tried this before because my Solo is an older one without a retainer ring.

Anyone experience an issue where it switches from a blinking blue to a solid blue for a couple of seconds so that you think it's ready and then goes back to blinking for a bit longer?

It's real.

Yeah it's been said before but it feels great when we discover our own little tricks :brow:

So I received both of my $100 eBay Air's and am pleased to report that everything is legit! They are both silver, and one has the battery indicator and one does not. It's nice having the indicator to get at least a ballpark idea of where the power stands in the battery. So @OF, it is definitely a useful feature for me, and I wish the other Air had it as well. I confirmed the authenticity of the Serials for warranty with Arizer and they are also both legit! I wish I purchased all 9! What a steal! Played a bit with it last night (giggity!), and was pretty impressed with the vapour quality and taste!

I do the exact same thing, just lift the stem a hair off the bottom....more airflow than I even need! I had an okay experience with the whole nug, but yeah it didn't seem "fully" extracted....I started just shredding a bit with my fingers, and use tiny little pieces, kinda like in my LSV w/ ELB and received much better results.

Apparently the mouthpiece with the black delrin can fit and seal properly with a 14mm connection? I only have 18mm bubblers, so if I pick up a reducer will I be okay with the seal?

Too many stories of loose/stretched o-rings with the gong's out there.

So not a good seal then? I would try PV reg gong without the notches and stuff but still concerned they aren't a good fit.

@WoodVillain, some pages ago it seems you were bi-aching about having only a coupla your caps left.

Now I know where they went to, your multi-stem collection!

SAS!

HAHA!!

I ordered 8 more caps to make sure i keep a spare LOL

They should make them in bright orange... Then maybe i could find them when i set them down in the shop haha.

My wife asks me what i need all these stems for.. I told her i dont need them all, i just need the perfect one, only problem is there isnt a try it before you buy it option.... so, like most things in life, i have to pay to play...

@biohacker i have the standard solo/air water pipe adapter (no carb) and it fits perfectly (if anything it goes in easier than the stems that come with the air.

I think someone else here posted that the one they had was smack bang in the middle of the two supplied stems with accurate measurements, would be interesting to hear if others with the standard adapter find the same.

Although its hard to keep glass exactly the same with each piece maybe with the standard adapter its easier due to how its made compared to the alternatives (i should add i don't know the methods used to make the stems so this is just a guess)

The one i have i bought from vapefiend as I'm in UK but think this is the same one as you meant

Well.

Woody, if you choose to, you can always mark them on the ends with day-glo orange spray paint....

Also, the Classifieds is a way to recoup some of your SAS expenditures for your less-than-desireable stems, Dude.

I got an air because I wanted to replace my solo but I am finding while it produces nice vapor I don't get many effects from it? I can put the stem (solo or air style) into my solo and get a nice amount of good thick vapor from a bowl the air won't kill any more. For any solo to air converts is this user error? I am willing to believe yes.
I love the Air but I tend to use the Solo way more. I use the Air for stealth. When I'm walking the trail it comes in handy. Sometimes I do hook it up to my D020 bubbler at night.

I hear some folks that have both and they prefer their Air. I guess it comes down to personal preference.

I think there may be a strong 'newest vape' factor in play as well. It's very easy to get excited in such cases.

I figure I'm about half and half right now, Air gets the nod if I'm in the mood to play with hardware but I think Solo wins on features Longer battery life, more useful battery level meter and for me it's easier to hang onto since it has the flats to keep it from slipping down. I also like the older Solos with 'true PA', I'll go through periods of routinely not using the battery (and therefore not worrying about the charging).

I suspect, a year from now, I'll routinely go with Solo when I want to 'do a stem' and save Air for situations where it's physical package is an advantage.

Caps, aye? nice touch.

Now it would be classy, and classic if the stems came etched, with their standard, or simply "Air".

To stretch it a bit further, if Arizer adapted the standard for airflow with notched, and veined air vents, it would enhance their already superb product, up a notch.

Air-volution.

So assuming from what ive seen on here and in Reddit.
3rd party batteries are a no-go?

Exactly so. The factory battery only, either as a replacement from an authorized dealer (or Arizer of course) or from our very own CentiZen who seriously researched this good stuff and bought a batch of the real deal from the maker and is selling them at about half price.

He started a thread on the topic somewhere, but once again I can't find it......
