It's warmed up now and ready for the maiden voyage. Time to get better acquainted. :brow:

Thanks again, Alan! I already love it.

That's a beauty Stu! Looks like your hand was made for that grip, and freshly manicured! :brow:
Truth be told, in the first picture (deleted already) that I took, I noticed that my fingernail was gross in the pic, so I gave myself a quick 2-minute manicure before the photo shoot. :D

The maiden voyage was much success.

I realized pretty quickly that the new mesquite runs a little bit cooler than the lilac. No worries, though. I just upped the VVPS to find her new sweet spot.

Absolutely gorgeous @Stu & @Alan!! I need to learn the ways of the JedHi, I can't wait till it's my turn. What kind of cores are those?
They are both SS cores. I had originally wanted the glass core, but I love my SS lilac, and decided to stick with that design. My next one will definitely be a glass core. Did I just put myself on the list again?

I think you did sir haha.

I assume the SS core runs hotter than the glass, correct? i have a couple blanks waiting on my turn so I may have to get one of each, just cuz.

Edit: damn I need one more for a hybrid. I forgot about that one.

I think the hybrid is the evolution of the glass core. I know that info is buried deep in the thread somewhere. Maybe @Alan could clear that up for us?

I also have 2 blanks waiting with Alan because I NEED one of each :D

I was interested in the all glass myself, But he only made a few of those because the wood got too hot without a ss sleeve.

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Can't believe it... came home from walking the dog on this gorgeous springtime day to find the white teak HIsaber I'd nearly forgot about in my mailbox today! Took the sender only three full months to ship it, but hey - it's finally arrived here and it is a beauty!! This makes the fourth Heat Island I now own and the first to have a glass core inside.

First impressions
: I'm using the wine cork 18mm water adapter at 13.75v. Much less dense/white-ish vapor than the SS core, but I'm still able to blow a massive cloud out! More of a blueish hue to the vapor and the ABV looks entirely different as well. Herb seems to be thoroughly cooked as opposed to being darker at the top and has a slightly lighter shade of brown given a somewhat dialed in temp. Super cool and different to say the least.

Definitely gonna be an awesome night of research!!

Because Alan makes them himself, not sourced out or anyone else working with him.
And he may have a full time job like most of us. Either way it is worth the wait.
Before you know it you get the email that it's your turn, and you've seen so many beauties that by the time it's your turn you may not even know what you want.
And with @Snappo and his vast wood assortment its enough to make your head spin.
Going to send an email and getting on the list again.
