Discontinued Elevape SV

That's good to hear. Most vape companies are domestic players, but glad to see it will have an international presence. After talking to vape dr.. I think bottle cap method will be my first DIY project for esv. I haven't given much time to fully try out the stir lid, but hope bottle cap with shaking will eliminate that need. I am not sure if this vape gets the love it deserves. For me, it's one of my favorites to play with.

I never tried the firefly, but assume both have great taste. The difference I see is temp variation and this thing is built like a Mack truck.

The instant on demand feature makes this vaporizer my favorite grab and go choice. As much as I do like some of my other vaporizer's they just don't have the stealth factor this one has. There are times in my day just need a hit to take the edge of the pain. When home can just use the cement zap but when out and about this one does the job.

I also grab this one at bedtime. When the pain wakes me a hit or two knock me back out. No more waiting 2-3 mins for another vaporizer to warm up.

This vape is trully amazing!

Some changements happened in my life and I needed to move most part of my stash at my work office (my own business!) and decided to keep at home only a few vaporizers and the ESV is one of them (others are the MiniVap, VaporGenie, Lotus& Persei+sr-74).

Taste, on-demand hits, effects and very small load helps me to vape less, good for my tolerance.

"Signature" of this vape is strong and omnipresent too!

Now I put a very small load in and after 6-8 hits it is done with only a one time stirring!

My only complain (cause battery works better now) is that it's not really stealth to use in the street, in public...

But I love it!

i like this vape it is build like a tank, small, discrete...
but i can t get it to work...
i don t get really clouds... and if then it is very inconsistant... also the heat is not good distributed i have always on the same spot black parts in the bowl..

i am using the bottle cap method and also bent the coil as posted in pics in this thread
also tried fine coarse fine screen above the coil...

maybe i have to practise more but i have not enough herb to do so...

any helping suggestions...

by the way how much do you load in the bowl..
fine or coarse grind..
temps you are using...
draw technique (slaw, fast.. or?)
any other handy tips?

if i would get nearly same clouds as crafty... and if the esv is efficient... my plan was to sell my crafty because i dont like its taste.. plastic build... and size of esv is also better..

Try to run it while hooked up to the app and see if that help's, That was the only way i was able to have a good experience. I also had to flash the hell out of the coil to get results, And this was after putting in a new coil and using the bottle cap screen. I have mine packed up ready to be fixed up, It certainly has potential A LOT! I think we simply just have defective unit's, No worries Ipuff takes care of there customers, Just get in touch with Joe.

Well you have to try every which way to figure it out. Draw is tough to describe, but its been mentioned here slow then fast, you need to fluctuate it and expiriment. And always stir every hit for optimal results, like open it up and really toss it around.

Bigger clouds with finer grind and fuller pack, even half full clouds can be quite big on lowest temp. There are just so many varying factors though. You'll get there, keep at it buddy

Just wanted point out to the user that have hard time getting lid opened. Add a drop of pax lube on the silcone o-ring. Makes it much easier to open the lid.

Good Day!

I was having trouble removing the screen retainer ring, so I went back to page 38, where technique is discussed, and Vape Dr. also described an alternative tool. My ring was so tight, that I had doubts about turning it all. Not wanting to run out to buy the parts to make Vape Dr's tool, I went through my tool chest, and spotted my snap ring pliers. If you're not familiar with them, as you squeeze the handle, the jaws open wider. They also have sort-of teeth (tips that normally fit into holes in snap rings), that help to grip the ESV retainer ring.

Anyway, this worked well for me, so I thought I'd pass it on. If you try this, I think it's important to use just enough pressure to grip, as putting too much pressure on the two points may distort the ring. It's not tough though, as I was successful the first time.

I finally got the bottle cap in my chamber lid. I like it better than standard setup and the stir lid. There is no better feeling filling some fluffy flowers and getting that first flavor taste. Is it has surpassed my ascent and trails only minivap (but very close) in taste. No more dark spots are more uniform Abv.

Hey guys, been a lurker here for some time, but this is my first post. I bought my ESV during the Vapornation blowout sale. I have been very happy with it except for a problem I have been having with my battery longevity (basically got 20 or so hits before it couldn't produce vapor), which Joe helped me troubleshoot and I am sending in to be looked at.

I am very satisfied with Joe's great customer service thus far (not that anyone has complained). He responded to my emails quickly, and that he makes himself available by phone so often is amazing. I made sure to let him know that I am very happy with my ESV other than the battery problem, which will hopefully be resolved soon.

I haven't modded anything on my ESV (coil is not angled) except for the DIY stir lid that Vape Dr. suggested. I haven't combusted or even felt that I came close to it, and my temp settings are 9/14/19 (may change once my battery is fixed). I will keep you guys updated when my vape is returned.

Sorry for such a long post, as it is my first I didn't want to leave anything out.

The ESV definitely takes practice to get used to, but it can deliver some serious, tasty clouds... I seem to get the best results with a somewhat fast but easy draw, like taking a deep breath rather than sucking on a straw.

I drop a pinch into the bowl, stir a little to break up any clumps, and repeat until full; no tamping. Grind pretty fine, but try to avoid powder that will fall through the screens when you stir. Whenever I need to open the lid, I give it a full turn first to dislodge most of the material that has stuck to the lid screen.

So, no stir attachment, no opening and stirring, no shaking, nothing? If so, I've gotta try that. I'm already loving my ESV, and that would make it even better.

I actually do stir after two hits, not because I need to but because of the advice of this thread. But since I stopped using stir lid and the original screw setups, there is no more concentrated areas of heat caused my hot metal. I follow vape dr.s method of loading. Fluffy grind from my SCS and up to the silver ring.

I am rethinking how best to use this instrument. I am now of the opinion that one long pull all the way through the light flashing is best. The light should not dim at all.

Puffing seems to make for more combustion as does the one short pull and then a long one. Why this is, I am not sure? Does the coil heat up fast to recover from the light dimming and the. Cool to temperature? How does that camera work? all I know is that if you don't let the light dim, there is no combustion and decent clouds through all three settings....my high is 330.

This is a great tool. Thanks, Joe. what's next for this unit? How can we help?

It's been awhile since I posted..I was able to get another unit that's working perfectly.
Still getting the hang of this cape.
Just wanted to say thanks to Joe and his staff, they provide solid customer service and really helped me out in that bizarre series of events.
I feel like this is a great cape for sampling different herbs..packing small loads and just getting a taste and moving to the next.

I think battery maintenance is key with this vaporizer. I plugged it into my anker 5 USB port and finally got green. Psychological, first green. Next session was one of my best with the esv. But have not experienced diminished performance until the battery is low. Then some hits would trigger the light but no vapor. Never experience this when batts are charged.

Cloudy...
(sorry mods, wanted to edit my latest post but it' too late. Add this to my last message if posible please :) )

Just tried my elevape again and temperatures are a lot lower!! I don't know if it was because of low battery (under 25%) or why, but at the max I used before (15) there was only flavour and no clouds...

Gonna charge it and try again. What temps you use after moding the coil people? Maybe it's because of the battery, any of you had a similar problem?

I found mine ran a lot cooler as well (and no combustion), it's about the same angle as yours but not nearly as clean......

I'm currently using 6, 8 and 12 for levels and thinking about maybe bumping them up again.

I agree, very big and useful improvement. Makes you kinda wonder why they don't ship that way?

@b0 I use temps 310-320-330 primarily with the strain I have.
I am also running the fine-coarse-fine chamber screen setup with a modified bottle cap fine chamber lid screen.
My temp ranges are always between 305-350.
I enjoy the incredible flavor but sacrifice vapor at these temps, but I am not a cloud chaser so these temps are ideal for me. I do still get visible vapor and enjoy the low temp high.

You question depends on the moisture content of your herb.
Just start low with the ESV connected to the app and bump the temps up until you get your desired results.

Hope that helps my friend!

Thanks for your answers!! That is what I was doing until something weird happened just now...

I had my unit in front of me, charging in my laptop and doing changes in temps and testing and suddenly started hearing a weird "buzz" inside my unit. Unplug it and it stoped, plugged and started again, unplugged and when plugged again it stoped but the led charge was sudenly green :uhh:

Now the app shows me the unit charging but the led is always green, so if I don't use a laptop to charge it I will never know if it's charged... Damn, I don't want to send my unit just because of that...

You're welcome. My bet is the issue you're seeing has to do with the laptop's port not being able to supply full charging current. ESV will happily gobble up more than an Amp (mine runs about 1.08 A). Minimum spec for USB ports is half that, give or take. Some (like laptops) with run time issues are even less. Normally this simply slows charging, but the buzz could be nothing more than the protection circuit kicking in and out and in and out and.....

You might try charging using the wall wort supplied? Mine is only half an Amp, but it's quiet....... I plug mine into the computer to check. Charging does such down on it's own of course.

Best wishes.
