Your edit is exactly the same thing I wanted: to make it more discrete. But I am learning to hit the globe while covering the glass but not the air inlet holes. I know the kiss is supposed to do that (be discrete) but the performance on the globe is slightly better. Is it because the black ceramic and ti coils are closer to your mouth?

Not sure why it's so much better, but it certainly is. I also find loading the globe coils much easier than trying to navigate around the threads on the regular KISS carts, so the design of o-rings holding the glass sheath (globe) is preferable for ease of assembly / disassembly / loading in addition to the improved taste of the black wick with TI 2 wire. I'm really so happy with the taste on this setup, it's amazing how much flavor and smoothness it delivers. But it's not really portable with the globe, that's my only complaint and I think there must be a way to put something together from existing parts to make a hybrid cart.

I should have specified in my above post, what I've found is that lots of 18.8 male glass adaptors will fit snugly onto the globe coil base (held in place by the o-rings), it even works both ways, as the base of the globe fits perfectly in the 18.8 mm female entrance on my bubbler. I've seen someone using an LSV transfer wand on the globe coil base in the Persei Thread and that looks very cool. I've easily fit an 18.8 e-Nano GonG over the globe coil base and I think a delrin drip tip from the regular KISS carts would fit into the side of the GonG that is meant to mate with the e-nano heating element. That would be a bit more discreet with a fairly "in-line" look, but still featuring a glass sheath so it would be easy to break on the go. I was also able to fit an Arizer elbow onto the globe coil base...with the long whip it almost looks like it could be turned into a faux camelback...but again I'm concerned the glass would break while out and about...

So yeah, I've been looking at e-cig carts and tanks designed to sit flush with eGo batteries (since I have an Omicron Light which is the same battery width-I think :hmm:), and some of them have glass tanks with a metal sheath that goes over the tank to protect the glass...I'm thinking one of those metal sheaths (If I can find one with no "windows" cut out) might fit over the globe coil base and then if that same sheath also tapered at the top to accept standard drip tips I could create a custom "globe coil assembly / e-gic metal sheath+drip tip" hybrid cart for on the go.

Been looking through e-cig sites but it's a dizzying task, there is SO much for that world and I only want to buy high quality parts to try to make a hybrid cart with...

I haven't actually hit it like that but it fits nicely and I think a Delrin drip tip from the regular KISS carts would fit into the side of the GonG that is meant to mate with the e-nano heating element (might test this later, I have at least one of those tips laying around still). Have you tried the kiss mini? Maybe that can be the answer to our problems.

The kiss mini does not have the option to include TI 2 wire in the pre-made carts as far as I can tell, only nichrome. If they did, I guess I'd have a bunch of them and this wouldn't be on my mind at all...

I suppose I could potentially buy the rebuild kit, learn to build carts, and make them how I want them myself? But that seems harder than finding some pre-made parts for my idea above...

I should point out that I'm not unhappy with the setup I have, I'm actually so happy with it that I want to be able to take it everywhere ;)

I love the kiss mini. You can really get giant clouds if you want, the taste is really good, and it can hold around .3. I do think the globe is the least harsh to use out the carts though. There are other pros and cons, but they're pretty much the same ones when it's globe vs regular kiss.

I've seen rebuilds for the kiss cart and globe in the persei thread, haven't seen anything about rebuilding mini's.

Can someone from W9 tech please contact me. My omicron lite failed after less than a month, I contacted customer service and paid to send the part back with signature required delivery as requested. The failed part was signed for on monday morning, and i was told it would be repaired the following tuesday and then sent back via 2 day priority mail.

Since the part was received at W9, i have been unable to get into contact with anyone there. I have left messages on the trouble ticket, i have called the office and no one answers, and i have even left a voice message with my name, number and issue just asking for an update. No one from W9 has responded to me since February 26th. My trouble ticekt number is 3276197

Thanks

So I broke my globe because *of course* I did...ha, I already have a replacement on the way because as soon as I saw the thing I was like "oh! it's so nice! I'll definitely break it within a few days!" yeah...

so, while waiting for the replacement, I popped a spare Arizer elbow on there...bit funny looking but seems to work ok in a pinch ;)

All the sudden lot's of pics are popping up with weird stuff on the globes. I'd love an angled one like that. I like the big wands some people were using too. LSV wand I think is was.

Ha yeah, the post with the lsv transfer wand in the Persei thread gave me the idea!

You can buy Arizer elbows pretty cheap if you want one, vape world has them for 8.99. Its not great but maybe something from OGB Mike would be better? I'd suggest a smooth tip, the ridges of the EQ elbow feel weird on the lips.

Just had 2 KISS minis delivered to me. For some stupid reason I figured they would be 510 threaded? Good thing I bought four 510 to 601 adapters like a year ago. I have been looking for a solid discreet setup since I go to a lot of shows and clubs. I have tried the source 10cigs...very disappointed. Currently using a 510 battery + adapter but I am going to get the standard vaporizer soon to test this all out at Coachella.

These things look like they can be loaded FAT too. :)

1) Are there any other 601 batteries on the internet or is w9tech the only place?
2) Is that battery a pass-through or do I have to charge it from the top?

The Atmos Jr is 601 (but its ego). There are a couple other Mfr's who also use it... can't recall. Your best bet is to stay with W9 gear.

You charge the "Vaporizer" with a thread charger, no pass through option.

Thanks for the pics. Gave me a real good idea of the size and it's exactly what I am looking for. Do the current omicron / ophos carts look weird on the device?

Hey guys. I just got a new Kiss Ti Gr2 3.7v cartridge in the mail, to us with my Omicron Light. I'm trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong because when I hit it, it hurts my lungs badly. It feels like I am inhaling something that is burning.

All I did was unpack the new cartridge, screw it on my Omicron Light, load it up with some wax, press the button a few times quickly to melt down the wax some into the wick, then hit it. Seems like I must be forgetting to do something important or this cartridge is faulty. Any ideas?

do you have a white wick in your cart? if so they seem to impart a bit of a burnt taste imo, at least by comparison to the black wick in the globe cart which is super smooth.

button press time is important too, seems best to hold the button and draw for 5 seconds then let the button go for 5 seconds and keep drawing, then 5 more seconds on, then 5 more off, and do a few cycles like that. I usually do 3 cycles of on / off for a total of 30 seconds per draw (10 for each cycle of button on / button off).

I do have a white wick in my cart. A bit of a burnt taste would not be a problem. Here, something seems to be actually burning which hurts my lungs badly.

I've had my Omicron Light for about a year now, so I'm pretty familiar with how to use it. For the last 6 months or so I've been using a Kiss cart that was rebuilt by Sleepin (not sure if he is still on FC). It does not heat up that hot, so I will often "prime" it by holding the button down for about 3 seconds, then let it sit for a few seconds, then press the button again (holding for up to 5 seconds) and hit it.

It's all about the black ceramic. That thing will suck up your concentrate and the ti burns slower so the taste will never have any metallic or burnt taste. It tastes only of the concentrate.

Next time you buy from w9tech, ask for the dark ceramic 3.7 carts.

Cool. Thanks for the tip.

On a side note, I think that my "burning lungs" issue was all user error on my part. After loading the cart almost to the brim with wax, no more burning. I guess I was way off about how much to load it with. My old cart is one that was rebuilt by Sleepin (not sure if he is still on FC). It has a much larger wick and the wire is much thicker (smaller gauge?). It seems to take more effort to heat the thing up than the stock Kiss cartridge. With that one I could just drop a small amount on top of the wick and vape from there. In all, a much different experience than with a stock Kiss cart.

the temperatures between the white ceramic and black ceramic are different, if you let the coils glow which can happen in the white ceramic it will burn oils. This happens because all oils have impurities in it. The black ceramic is engineered more to provide you with optimal vaporization temperature.

It's good to hear this from the maker! Since it's been the experience of a lot of us...it's why I'm only using the globes with black wicks and TI 2 wire now, so much more delicious! But I keep breaking globes, even when keeping them in an eGo case....

I was unsuccessful mating the metal sheath of the kanger aerotank mini I bought to try to fit over the globe coils...too small. oh well at least I got a nice new tank for e-juice ;)

@THC SCIENTIFIC Is there some way you can let us know when we will be able to get 3.7 KISS carts with black wicks and TI coils? Assuming they will be available again at some point? I would really like to buy some, the globes are not portable for me and I mostly got my Omni lite for "on the go" use.

Yeah, I've been waiting 1+ year for the regular KISS cart to be released with the black wick. The globes are not very stealthy/easy to transport.

The current omicron/PERSEI threaded carts you purchase online are black wick, we are simply phasing out old stock and adding new ones.

Is that a very-new thing? Does that include the TI ones?

I ask because I bought 3 ,3.7 KiSS carts last month on the W9 site, 1 NI, 2 TI at 3.7 with omicron/PERSEI threading (chrome finish) and they all had white wicks...so all unusable for me and wanting to not make that mistake again...

I'd like to buy more (TI only), but only if for sure they are black wick, your saying all Omicron/Persei ones are black wick on the W9 site now?

black ti 3.7v currently have the black wicks, the chromes are still on the white wick system.
