Kingofquartz.com.

I never tried them but I was going to buy before I got an email discount from dabfarm. $75 for it, and all done here in the states. Has a video on the home page.

anyone know where to get the same quartz nail from gimido? since it says it fits 20mm coils im pretty interested. or atleast a cheap male 18mm quartz enail.

Kingofquartz.com.

@420time are you against ordering the one from Gimido? Do you want it in your hands faster and that's why you don't want to order from China?

If that's the case, go with eBay!

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281456352519

$35 and it has the raised dish like it is supposed to. I have this same one and it works awesome.

I know it's 14mm female and you wanted 18mm male but just grab a $10 18mm male to 14mm male adapter and you are set! Still way way cheaper than anywhere else, especially Kingofquartz, and you'll have it in your hands in a few days since it ships from California!

Contact them maybe they can get them in 20mm?

Or if you haven't bought an enail yet just get a 16mm coil when you do. Problem solved!

oh man, i was surprised by a little package on my doorstep today.

the fuzzy logic PID I got off ebay is here. it does have the mounting bracket and condition it looks practically brand new, not even a scratch, though i did see some dirt and dust on it, so it probably was used at some point. for the 60 bucks I paid, I think i scored myself a nice ebay deal on this one!

On the other hand, some initial impressions, the quality of this thing is definitely a level above. I mean, for something that retails for $345, you'd hope right? And size-wise, it's that standard 1/32 size like my other controller and the typical auber and cal and the e5gc and all those other 1/32 units out there. Apparently this thing was made in the usa too, my other controller from the same brand wasn't though...

However, it's long. Really long. My other controllers were already an inch longer than the aubers, but these are like, 2 inches longer. I think it will still fit in the cases I have, but I might have to skip the circuit breaker and just go with a fuse, as there's not going to be any room to spare on this thing. I'm really excited to get this one built, it should answer a lot of questions I've had regarding whether there's some 'holy-grail' of controllers we've still yet to reach or something.

Hopefully some more updates later when I get this built...

i already bought the enail from ineedhemp, but they only are including the 20mm coil. so yea.... ineedhemp they said that i have to email them what sizes and theyll contact me about payment. so does anyone know alternatives to seasoning a ti enail without having to use reclaim or oil? all i have is 2oz lemon kush shatter and 2g of rick simpson oil. i dont want to use either since it feels like a real waste. isnt running the ti nail with the coil for 2-3hours good enough?

Sure man, this is my personal fool proof water and oil method:

Get 3 bowls of the most virgin oil you have (not too important) lined up and 2 bowls of water. Eat the nail to glowing red and dip it in the oil 10 times torching it each time (your gonna be burning off the oil each time making a nice seasoning layer. use the other bowls of oil as the first bowl will start to get hot eventually from all the heat. after dipping 10 times its time to dip it in the water 15 times. then i finish with oil again 5 times and water 10 times. The end result is a beautifully grey seasoned nail.

Its what i do :p

wow that seems like alot of work...... what about the water seasoning?

the water seasoning is not really good for the TI by itself i think, the only reason its used is to wash off the oil after each use. Here is what i did to speed up the process: I jammed the nail into a fork to make a makeshift holder for it and i got a propane tank with cheap nozzle. the propane tank made the whole thing soo quick!

ill wait for others to chime in about water seasoning and alternatives. since i wont have the enail till wednesday or thursday.

well its no rush, i can jut say that personally i prefer this method to the reclaim method, it really manages to season the WHOLE nail including the outside (domed) and inside lips (domeless) (good if u like to scrape a lot) and i actually prefer the taste too but that just my experience, at the time i did not have access to cheap oil either.

isnt it better to natural season it? dab a few times and the taste should go away.

logically i cant deny that it makes sense to go the natural route but id dabbed off enough nails seasoned by other people with reclaim and i never manage to enjoy the taste. It could def just be me but thats just my personal experience. i find the oil and water leaves a much more inert state to dab off of then the oil, potentially its because of how much i seasoned my nail vs how much they season and a host of other factors. Thats why im saiying im that JUST from personal experience i would stick with this over oil EVEN now that i can source it cheaper.

isnt it enough to run the enail coil for 2-3hours with the ti nail and that should get rid of the titanium taste? from what i read people are saying they torch it 10-15 times red hot and just do a few dabs and its fine.

i think thats jut for people removing the factory chemicals involved in manufacturing, the oil and water method is to regain an inert area to dab off of since the metal was polished and worked. at least thats how i understood it

best bet for getting reclaim is just to smoke outta the bong (maybe get a reclaim catcher adapter), if you have been dabbing on another nail then that goey stuff inside is reclaim, just how to get it out!

Well, more like "legal". Canadian dispensaries still operate in a legal gray area, they could raid and shutdown all dispensaries across the country tomorrow if they wanted to since they don't conform to the MMPR and aren't licensed by Health Canada. Extracts are technically legal for medical users but only in BC due to a Federal Court ruling though there's nothing on the books and it's open to interpretation.

I think I'm going to have to stop using my stainless steel dropdown from New-Vape until they ship out the new one. The one I have the reclaim catcher blocks half the downtube when screwed in which causes gunk to build up and block the small opening that's left. I did an extensive cleaning late last week and it was clogged again in 3 days. I believe the new design will address this so even if the pieces get permanently stuck again (likely) I should at least be able to clean it better. Just sent them an email asking for an update so hopefully I'll hear back soon.

I can't even believe I'm still awake, I've literally just spend the last 4-5 hours straight making this...

needless to say, this thing has a ton of options and I've finally got it setup correctly and autotuning and my initial impressions are good....really good in fact. I'm using 20% fuzziness right now which seems to be doing well. needless to say it's also got a ton of other options i can tune besides the fuzzy stuff, even the autotune is adjustable and you can damp it to make it more or less sensitive to things, there's so much more to tweak on this pid I don't even know where to begin, there's definitely a lot of things I need to try now.

And of course there's the cost factor, I bought this PID used off ebay, I wouldn't really be willing to front the cost of a batch of these at over $220+ for the non-serial version....and $340 for this one? just kind of nuts...and it took me 4-5+ hours to make this thing, needless to say, none of these cost factors are looking pretty at the moment. The notion of programming some arduino fuzzy logic that matches this isn't too hard to fathom though, we already have the code for doing PID, so we just need some fuzzy code to add as a percentage offset to PID output, and it'd basically be doing a similar thing to this PID....though minus all the fancy autotune and all the other stuff this thing has...It's all still a bit of a huge question as to how much real value there is to gain from any of this, but I can say that given the performance I'm seeing without even having done much tweaking at all, this PID is definitely showing some real promise.

I realllly need to get this thing attached to the computer and start graphing it to know for sure, but i'm so tired right now I can barely even think straight....hopefully more news later this week, I have to make some more VK's so I doubt I'll be doing much more until after I get those done.

yes your right, under the failed MMPR this is a grey area but so is every other dispensary in canada. LPs and Health canada are the true bad guys in all of this. right now there is the alllard court case that could make dispeneri8es and personal grows legal again hopefully but i personally stand by my statement and belief that plcdelivery is CONSTITUTIONALLY a legal establishment regardless what anyone else in the justice system wants to say and i hope the current allard case and the later smith extraction case will prove that.

I got all the goodies from divine tribe, the enail, the Quartz enail, the Quartz enail with swinger carb cap, extra thick banger, carb cap/dabber, they are all super dope I highly recommend ineedhemp.com. My fave was the enail with swinger cap. Nice to see the website get some love and the Quartz enails are getting featured.

No doubt it was pretty tight, I pretty much had to wire it up before I put the PID in place, and pushed as much as I could under or out of the way of the PID, it's realllly long. I normally can fit a switch and a circuit breaker in that same case, but not on this one. Even that fuse holder was hard to fit in there, I had to bend the wire pretty hard, but it's like stranded 12 gauge (that huge red wire) so i'm sure it's fine. I think I used 16 gauge for the rest of it, and I put a 3A fuse in the fuse holder, but built it with everything rated to 4A or above so it's all a bit overkill I guess, but hey why not.

I still want to try fit a separate coil switch on there somewhere. I'm a pretty big fan of that feature and I'm already kind of annoyed I couldn't make it fit, since I am planning on keeping this one, I'm sure I can find a smaller rocker switch, or maybe even a toggle, VK style, haha.

I still have yet to really play with it much more other than casual use, it's been working great with nearly no adjustment, but that just makes me wonder how much more I can get out of it.
