Trapped in the Astral Planes Back from the dead
@steama just scored four 10.1oz cans (40.4 ozs total) of Colibri for a great price compared to the alternatives around me most of which are 1.9oz. Three cans from the local shop would have been three dollars more than the four cans of Colibri. That butane is very reasonable thank you for suggesting it. I will let you know how I like it after it is delivered.

Also grabbed a new torch from e- bay to try. The adjustment is on the side so it should be easier for me to adjust and for 6.99 delivered I figured it was worth a try. This is the only picture I could find not watermarked, but from the ones in the listing it appears to have a large tank. After it arrives I will report back if it was worth it or not and take some pictures against the stock lighter for size referance.

So, I really love my Lily. It is a great portable. It is a perfect complement to her big sister. I can get huge clouds while out riding the trails without drawing a lot of attention. I have problems seeing the torch flame in the daylight so I find a nice shady spot to pull over. I love how fast the process is with lily. Just a pinch or two then three to five hits later I'm feeling great and back on the trail. But the best part is if I only want a hit a two I can do this as well without having to worry about the quality or flavor of my meds suffering from constant cooking.

Well that was bowl i dont remebr now lol. I edites it after bowl 2 a little later. I think I've gotten a handle on dry hits now too, I can see how far the flame needs to be in. Still more practice needed of course, but on my way.

I prefer water bc Lily's harshness is a bit much for me, but some dry hits did work well before a movie without too bad of irritation for a short session. I even prefer daisy through water, its just the best way for me with torch vaping

Also j have to take off my glasses to see the flame and intake for dry hits... Too close to my face. Water its still too close, but the angle on that bubbler I can look over my glasses, so a little simpler for me too in that way.

I personally think that Lily would benefit from a longer stem for the visual aspect, comfort and heat. I do think you want to feel some heat though. It helps to judge the vaporization temp when you don't have a visual on the vapor being formed as in Daisy or Lotus with a J-Hook. Lotus with the aluminum stem is too cool for me and Lily is too hot. Call me Goldilocks.

Lily could still fit in the pocket very nicely if it was 2cm longer this would make the vapor path 4cm longer which would dial the heat back considerably. Just using the Daisy heat intake to replace the Lily MP reduces the heat noticeably.

If I keep my Lily, I will get Ed to make me a longer stem. It will either stick out a bit rather than retract fully or I will pull it out to carry it.

@RUDE BOY, My Lily is cherry and I thought that it might have been a smellier wood than walnut but your experience shows me that Lily's woodier taste is not due to the material.

I can also confirm what you and others have noted about the combustion smell dissipating fast from Daisy. I couldn't even contemplate not cleaning every part of a vape after a combustion event before experiencing this with Daisy. Just another addition to the long list of reasons Daisy is by far my favourite out of the 7 vapes I have owned.

@steama you are right, ain't no better time to get with me @Tom Funk I have steama lily now and will not have it long, he was kind enough to let me have it to do what I do, I can't sit on it long, I want to get it back to him soon enough for him to try out what I have made and share his findings. If you have something you want done it'd be best to let me know ASAP pls, I will be more than happy to take on the task for you. Thanks guys for thinking of me, I appreciate that!

Finally got my Lily today! Just got home from a hard days work, and enjoyed my first bowl. This thing is a beast, but you really have to know your way around a manual vaporizer in order to use this thing well. I combusted on the first rip, after that I was good. Big clouds...flavor is "okay." The flavor is much cleaner with the Daisy, so I guess I'm spoiled! The vapor is very hot as well! Luckily I like that, because it hits you like a cigarette. Since this will be my portable, I like the idea of enjoying it like a cigarette.

It's beautiful, and very well made. The vapor will be too harsh for a lot of people, so proceed with caution. Maybe once I get used to it I'll be able to make the vapor cooler. Time to go experiment!

Edit: after a few more sessions, I have mastered. I dig this thing, great camping vape!

from the reviews, it seems that the daisy vapor is not as harsh but rather cool and smooth, is that right? Any idea what makes the Daisy vapor cooler than the Lily? size?

Daisy has a much longer and more widely open vapor path than Lily which I think is the major contributing factor to smoother, less hot vapor from Daisy. The larger glass neck piece alone I suspect provides much of this.

UP PERISCOPE!!!

So the Lily and I have been getting intimate since she came into my life.

A few observations:

OK, at first I thought I was getting higher on less bud, but now that I've come to my senses I think it was just an obtical illusion. Probably something about it has to do with the relative size, or more likely it has more to do with the fact that I'm finishing a bowl in three rips.

I think a Honest sized torch on medium high works about right.

The vapor is def. harsher than the Daisy, but nothing a thoat lozenge won't solve.

Flavorful, but less mellow and (I'll use the word) dank, than the Daisy.

For some reason I find the size more appealing than the Daisy. Not reallly sure why. Maybe because it's easier to dash-n-stash when my kid barges through the door.

Yeah.

Get the fuck out of here!;)

You blespheme....

Sorry if I offend any users with this post.

I've come to the conclusion the Lily is a harsh hitter after some time with this vape. Since I have had a Lily I have grown to dislike the vapor's heat and harshness. One other thing I dislike quite a bit is the fidgety o-ring that secures the mouthpiece. I am always having to fuck with it — it's not for me the more I use it. If I can't find a solution that moderates the Lily's harsh draw and if can't get used to the fidgety mouthpiece o-ring I am going to retire her early. Just a day in the life of a vaper I guess.

We can't have the same feelings for every vape and the Daisy is wonderful and practically my daily driver. When it comes to using the Lily or the Daisy I'm grabbing the Daisy everytime.

Oh, it's you Steama. I didn't recognize your new avatar...why did you get rid of the mud-hippie?

I guess I'm different, Lily's vapor is noticeably warmer, but I don't really find it harsh or irritating, but I'm a high temp sorta person anyways. I love both the Daisy and the Lily, I switch them up, back and forth (along with a couple other of my vapes), but the Triihomes are getting the lion's share of my attention lately, their signature just hits the spot for me and they seem the most reliable of all my delivery mechanisms, rarely do they dissapoint me. I'm very grateful to have found them.

I was hoping mine was like this because it wasn't the final design. I still hold hope that having the third air inlet will mitigate this to some degree. If I ever receive the updated unit and the Daisy I ordered to go with it I'll let you guys know. Hopefully it won't be long now.

I agree about the harshness. I use it with a water attachment.

I feel the same about my Lily...it's so sad. Only had it a few days, but finding myself not wanting to use it already. It's not what I was hoping! I stayed optimistic over several bowls, and gave it as big a chance as I could. For the honeymoon phase to be over this fast, I'm pretty disappointed. Not like this thing was cheap...

It lacks the flavor of many of my other portables, and the vapor is very harsh. I can't even tell if I'm vaping top shelf or shake as far as flavor. I can't get it to vape evenly either, no matter how hard I try...there's always a black spot amongst the greens after each rip. And if I turn the flame down just a tad, I get no vapor at all. If I increase my draw speed, it can never be fast enough to avoid this charring.

The tweezers are also VERY necessary to have at all times (that periscope does not cool fast), and it's one more thing you have to worry about in your session with this portable vape.

It's not the smallest, nor is it the most effective. I like the thick clouds and it's design, but I feel I'm about done with this one :( Sorry Triihouse, I feel this design could've used some more work before mass production.

Still LOVE my Daisy! And will use it daily :peace::leaf:

Ok so I finally recieved my lily today and she is gorgeous..I mean she is a solid and amazing little vape..im gonna start with the bad, I ordered the kit and I only recieved my lily, and one each of the mp, 1 intake , wax, screens, o rings, I had seen other people recieve theirs in a tin? Or maybe I imagined that but no tweezers, torch or grinder? I cant remember what cane with the kit as its removed now but seems like u get more with just the basic version? It says two intakes included ontheir site now, bit if anyone knows what their site used to say comes with the kit? And now on to the better..I really like this vape..I think it is super simple to use and I think the vapor us just right. Its not too harsh on me like the others have stated..And my theory on this is that I havent recieved my daisy yet so in starting with the lily and not the other way around and if daisy is as good as eeveryone says she is then its hard to live up as a young sis..But I really love the beauty, build quality and the overall experience with this little lady.

I also ordered the Lily kit. Haven't received mine yet but it was listed to come in a tin with a lighter, tweezers, grinder , 1 mouth and 1 periscope intake, O-rings and screens. We'll see when it arrives but all should be included as that's the way I purchased it. I ordered it way before they changed their website offering.

Well no tin, tweezers, grinder or torch and it was just placed in the mailing box loosely?? Im really confused..I mean they know what we ordered and it cant be that mad of a dash to the post office where the are all disheveled and running full speed where they have zero seconds to check and see if all that was ordered was included..and i have emailed them twice now and no response:-(

@subway13029 Sounds like the growing pains are getting more intense. They did away with the kits (I thought it was because they were going to be shipping extra glass pieces with the Lily) but if you ordered the kit before they changed the website, you should receive what you purchased.

BTW, I, too, am waiting on a Daisy.

I hope you manage to eke out a little pleasure from your Lily while attempting to rectify the situation.

Mine didnt come with a spare intake, ordered the plain Lily and it arrived well after that announcement...

Also usually the hits aren't too harsh for me bc I have trouble being able to vape higher temps with it, my draw is usually not powerful enough so I've been getting smaller hits usually too. When I do get a big hit, the heat of the vapor does irritate my throat a bit, but it goes away pretty quick since its not often that I can hit it that well. Rare that I scorch it as well, usually very light avb

Also through water is much better, but a better connection might help me, either way my biggest issue is still aiming the flame and my draw. Still fun though...

Yeah I def ordered the kit just for the tin and the tweezers not that I cant get another tin or tweezer but wanted the whole deal.especially because I already made the mistake of grabbing the intake to put away..lol..matte green has been nothing g but helpful with me but no would like what was advertised and it feels as though my order gat caught in the middle as I didnt recieve the kit or the extra intake:-)

@subway13029 If I remember correctly you should also get some wax with the kit ?
About the heat intake issue : I have thought about putting some silicone (if possible) around it, the further possible from the intake hole.

@Unisonruss did you get a walnut or a cherry Lily?
I'm interested in knowing what you suspect ?

I should get a Cherry Lily in the following days/weeks. I must say I'm a bit anxious to find out how I'll handle the vapor on the throat. I like to vape evenly and preserve the taste for 1 to 3 hits. I won't give up after one day or night since those kind of vapes need time to catch how to drive them properly. I'll probably get an opportunity to try a Daisy so it will be good for me to compare and maybe consider a purchase. Lily is strictly for portability purpose.
From what I've read, it seems it's not as harsh as a MFLB, at least ! And I would also consider to use another mouthpiece before to sell it or to put it on the side. Aluminium mouthpiece or a longer glass or wood one ?

When I found myself coughing like a first-time smoker in the early days of my Lily and wondering if this is truly vaping, I experimented a lot. Here's what works best for me. I still cover a carb hole, sometimes a second if it needs a punch. My stuff never dries, so it's not ideal. I don't let the tip of my flame go into the heat port (gun shy after crack.) When I'm inhaling, I don't make a tight seal with my mouth and let in a little fresh air. It's become more like a musical instrument than a vape because I go by sound, but that's resulted in the best combination of flavor and vapor for me.

Lily has made my no-longer-holding-a-charge Pinnacle Pro obsolete, thank god. Sick of being permanently tethered to a wall wart! :-D

I also dont miss my volcano one bit.

I swear I'm getting thru way less meds. As an ex heavy pipe smoker, it's been a fairly easy transition. There's been some occasional combustion due to me seeing how far I can push it and trying extract everything I can and get the abv as dark as the pinnacle would. Finally cracked it. The tapping of the front carb hole that @Mister G suggested was the missing piece of the puzzle. Altho, considering how much I'm judging the meds temp by the heat against my tongue (thanks to the pinnacle, I'm kinda used to how the heat settings feel), it's much harder to push the meds temp thru my bong and I still combust too easily. First few low temp hits I can bong easily tho.

I have a few negatives regarding Lily, but they're really, really minimal. Deff getting a Daisy when I can afford it.

The only other thing is, I didn't get the unit Brenna sent me a picture of that I posted a few pages back. Looks be damned tho, cos functionally, Lily is great :-)
