Discontinued Indica Vaporizer

Mainly experience, I use the Indica on a weekly basis (for my semi-stealth needs). When on road trips, I have even had success getting 1 or 2 solid rips with my Silicone Adapter and a PNWT (DHgate Knockoff).

I forgot that you don't have the spacer. I suggest you fill the oven, then use something to gently tamp it down, and load more herbs.

The key to optimal vapor production with a conduction vaporizer is to allow heat to 'conduct' through the load (this requires contact). If you don't compact the load, the core of your load will never reach the set temperature.

The trick is finding that balance between too compact, and 'just enough'.

I recently tried the @Vape Dr. mod to drill out my Indica moutpiece. I was hesitant to do this for fear of screwing it up. Well, I did manage to mess up the horn inside the mouthpiece, but have not noticed any ill effects. Cloud production has gone up noticeably. So, I think it is definitely worth it, even if you're clumsy like me and mess up the horn inside.

I did manage to mess up the horn inside the mouthpiece, but have not noticed any ill effects.

The horn in the mouthpiece and the off-set vapor-path were intentional by design. This creates a change in the air-flow, adding a low-pressure zone which flying debris (ABV) will be caught.

Loosing the horn will ultimately result in one change - a greater chance that any ABV which exits the vapor path may hit your lips/mouth. You can always install a screen in the oven to reduce the amount of abv entering the vapor path.

This mod does work reduce draw resistance, I'm sure you're pulling bigger clouds with it.

I tried using the screen in the oven and found that it was awkward to install and made it difficult to use the spacers. I'd install it in the mouthpiece instead.

I remember somewhere on here someone recommended a drill size for drilling out the mouthpiece. I tried searching, but no success. A little help here folks. Anyone remember what size it was? I'm a little sleep deprived this morning. I never figured out how you could cut a foot off one end of a blanket, sew it on the other end and make it longer.

There are several posts that talk about this, but @Vape Dr. posted an illustrated tutorial: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/indica-vaporizer.9633/page-57#post-663657

Interesting. Perhaps the off-set vapor path helps with the airflow. Now that I have a spare mouthpiece, I'll need to do some experimentation! :science:

How big were you guys going on the hole. I want to do it because I can only seem to get good or decent results with my indica on red. It's kind of frustrating actually. I start on green or purple and I get little to no vapor and the heat feels almost non existent then when I bump it to red I get choked out and clouds are plenty for a few hits. I want to experiment still with this guy but I would rather not waist my nice meds.

That doesn't sound normal to me. Maybe you need to get a different unit?

Grind should be medium to fine. I fill it up and gently pack it and fill it again. By the time I put the spacer in, I have to push it with a bit of effort. No clouds at blue, but great taste. Vapor at green and up. Pull HARD and even LONG if you want. This is one of the advantages of the Indica. And remember, it is the medication that counts, not the clouds, though we love to chase them!

The Indica is a top notch instrument and if it takes a small learning curve, then spend the time and you will be rewarded with one of the best portable vape experiences on the market.

Are you drawing hard? I found the best way to get this thing to milk some glass is to rip it HARD. It seems counter-intuitive, but this is the only vape I've had like that

Try pulling until you hear the oven whistle and I bet you'll get different results.

I wanna say I understand the technique and what not. Been doing the same thing you guys have said for packing etc. Have tried pulling hard. Like really hard. Only red seems to do anything. I will try some more tonight when I am home. It just sucks cause I have had this vape for a while. I got it from Puffitup after I sent a different defective unit in and got the new noir right around the time she came out. It just seems that ever since I got it I could just not get the technique or something isn't right. Just never had problems learning with any vapes before. And everyone seems to really love it. I want to as well

I just find it odd that I'm really only getting results on red.

Its weird how I can go from my air or solo on similar temps and get blasted with obvious visible cloud. Now I understand that the indica is a different beast and won't produce the same clouds and is more conduction obviously but I still expect to end near the same effect feeling medicated. The only temps that seem to compare is red

Hmm, strange, my Noir performed better than the SS I had.

Have you cleaned the vapor path fully with the pipe cleaner and some ISO?

One cool thing I found out!
On the Inside of the lid of the indica there is a little clip and you can put stuff under it! I put a dime bag under the clip and it fits perfectly! It's not to much room but enough to fit cotton to use as a spacer or a tooth pick for cleaning! It really comes in handy

I have multiple times as well as at the end of the sessions I would shuv a toothpick down the tube to push any little bits out of the airway

Damn, almost sounds like your oven might not be running properly. There have been many known issues with the early noir models.........

What color is the ABV after a nice full 10 minute session on red? should come out a dark chocolate brown

Ya like I said on red I'm definitely getting results and it's cloudy. dark brown abv usually after 2 sessions cause I don't get much on green or purple when I try them in the first session
