It turns off after 18 seconds if you don't take another draw. It's suppose to heat up on a dime. Possible 4 loads per battery charge, depending how long a load would last. Probably depending on whether or not you are a lung buster or have a smaller draw style. I would be the latter.

Kinda funny how most of the comments on Reddit are an argument about the MFLB. But the little bit about the GH sounded encouraging at least...

He explained that he would be answering the rest of the questions later this evening. I expect we should be hearing more from him shortly! :)

Smells good. Just sad to read they won't ship before april.

Have you notice the "view invoice " button disappeared from the GH webshop?

Uses 750mah batteries. Look forward to hearing VaporizerWizard's opinion. Hopefully we can nuke this "helpful" thread soon :lol:.

Some of his posts so far:
"very little resistance. You could put your fingers over the hole and increase resistance but I dont think anyone would want to do that lol. One of the least resistance vapes i've tested."

"Huge clouds and yes you can get completely medicated in those 4 hits. More like a Firefly with vapor production."

"4 bowls before the battery died. Some conduction with mostly convection. I would compare it to the Crafty."

"I'll get some better pictures of this tomorrow but the herb is very evenly vaped with no stirring. I can attest to the video that they produced and the colors at those temps.

I will definitely run my own tests for you guys tomorrow though."

Just a little more food for thought in the form of direct quotes from VaporWizard:

"The mouthpiece gets fairly warm to the lips but like I mentioned above they have developed a plastic guard that goes over the mouthpiece to protect your lips. And it only gets hot with prolonged use (like 6-7 hits). If it's just one person, you only need 3-4 hits and you're good."

And with regards to the feel of the vapor:

"It is a bit warm but not a deal breaker. It's a much shorter vapor path. Good thing is that it doesn't take too many hits to be completely medicated."

As for operating time, load size & vapor production:

"I was able to get 4 bowls in with about .2-.25 grams per session. Vapor quality was similar to that of the Pax. Production on the other hand was HUGE. I can take the biggest rip off the Grasshopper without any drop in temp. It was much like the Firefly and I would even compare it to a desktop with vapor production."

And build quality . . .

". . .is above and beyond any vape currently on the market. I watched Matt play with the Grasshopper at breakfast this morning quickly followed by dropper it off the table and directly on the floor... solid 4 feet. Picked it up, turned it on.. ready to go. It's like the V2 with an extra cm or 2 of thickness. It feels really nice in the hands and will definitely last."

So, early conclusions?

"I feel like if you need absolute discretion and want to get medicated as quickly as possible then yes, this is my daily driver. It's so small and literally looks exactly like a pen."

Very interestings!

& yep, @Gregori your invoice should still be there if you log in & go to 'Account' & then 'Order Status' - then click on the line with your order in it & your invoice will be displayed. I'm not sure I recall seeing an actual 'View Invoice' button.

I still have the view invoice available. Furthermore, I interpreted that ship date for retail, not backers or pre orders. I'd still hang on to the ship dates we received in the last update.

I knew that heat would end up somewhere. It always does. Looking at the imgur pics I can see these guys are seriously organized and will have a product to all of you very soon. The questions in my mind now revolve around draw resistance, load size, and vapor quality. There was some harsh coughing from the testers we saw, we know the mouthpiece is getting hot, I wonder what the vapor quality is like. I also wonder about long term incremental damage from tapping the device out the way it seems you have to in order to empty it. All in all though the product looks outstanding.

 Hells yeah! That thing looks awesome! I'm totally digging what I hear and see so far. Sounds like it might be great for those stealth needs. Not a daily driver or session replacement by any means, but still it will have it's place in my collection (at some point).

Anyone have the outside diameter of the mouthpiece? I'm wondering if that would work with my new universal waterpipe silicone adapter........

I'm still going to wait for the first few batches to hit the market before I dive in. I hope they'll continue to tweak the product once the reviews come in, and the product is even better 18 months from now

How about a silicone mp for the GH ,
or an enclosed cap to hide the smell when not in use ?
Yay , real reviews are coming ...

Given all the other aspects of the description --- materials, mostly convection, desktop hits, huge clouds, super efficient with only 4 hits to kill .25g... --- I dont understand how vapor quality can then be compared to Pax.

Certainly its not overcooked inefficient conduction oven like Pax, so huh? Seems contradictory to everything else he's saying, maybe he means hot and harsh like Pax?

Bc so far my Lily is super harsh, but vapor quality --- eficient clouds and effects --- are still through the roof... In fact my Firefly is hella harsh too (my first one was better) and can easily overcook a bowl if not stirred enough, but its still good vapor quality. Vapor Quality is such a subjective term I fear as well...

Man another fucken silicone guard for the MP? When can this be prevented? I hope for liquid cooled vaporizers in the future of 2017.
No , GH mp is plastic .
I asked if @Ratchett can make a silicone mp .
I prefer the feel of silicone against my teeth than plastic , that's all .
But which ever mp you use , it shouldn't affect the functionality of the GH .

Yup. Vapor quality = cool/hot, smooth/harsh, dry/moist, thin/thick, tastes good/does not taste good. Guess it's different for everyone, but for me, it encompasses all of the above with extra weight given to taste.

Yeah I can see that, temps will play into it as well. If he's talking about 390-410F then I expect it, but at like 340F it should be very pleasant I'd imagine (even the lower temps too, probably taste incredible that low). That's an issue with Firefly and Lily, no temp control.

I also don't think I've ever used any convection vape that didn't have far superior vapor quality compared to pretty much any conduction vape, seems to me that should give it an edge over a conduction session vape in vapor quality regardless, especially considering it has been called more of an on demand unit than a session one, so even more so. But I'll see for myself in a couple months...

No , GH mp is plastic .

I'm not sure this is the case... @BuzzDanklin did say it was plastic in one post, but in another he says,

"The temp control is unreal. So sure it might be better for the solo user but like many people mentioned below, you can use the unit at lower temps for longer durations. Problem with this is that the mouthpiece gets a little warm with prolonged use. They have developed a rubber mouthpiece guard that fits over to eliminate that problem."

So is it plastic or rubber? Hmmm... It might even be silicone?
