I picked up a 9" klein from Nathan Alexander aka santacruzglasspics. It's amber over white and has an amber purple joint. Water test (slowmo)

Since I got laid off I haven't bought any glass. But I found myself in North Conway, NH last weekend and I was shocked to see my old headshop still going strong! It's called Headlines and has been there since 1976. It used to be one of the only place in New England to buy glass. So, I went for this beaker, since I don't own one. It was cheap and seems on par with Medicali and such. I just can't believe how much I really like this thing! It's from Flo Glass out of NY.

I haven't received it yet, it should be here soon. Instead of scrambling to find out when I get it, maybe I Should ask now. how much water do I put in it?
You will want to fill it up above the fritted disc perc.

How much you fill it above the fritted disc is your choice. Water level is definitely a personal preference. Some people like more water for more of a cooling effect, while others like less water.

Some people would fill it just right above the fritted disc, while others may fill it halfway between the fritted disc and the cyclone/vortex disc for more diffusion.

I think if you fill it more than half way between the fritted disc and the cyclone disc, the bubbles will stack too high and that will cause water to go up the mouthpiece tube and into your mouth. Yuck!

Wow this was my 500th message! SWEEEEETTTTTT

Enjoy the new piece :D

We're here to fuck shit up.
I believe that the Turbine disc was originally created as kind of a Perc/splash guard so that when one cleared their piece the water would vortex above the disc instead of splashing into your mouth.

This piece looks like it is incorporating the Turbine disc for this very purpose due to the very high stacking level Fritted percs are known for. That said, I would fill about a quarter inch above the fritted disc and see how the Turbine works at that level.
