Not sure about ordering from UK to USA, but I know that ordering from the USA > Canada can result in duties and taxes.

Hello from Germany,

Had to send in my Mighty because the housing was broken around the Filling Chamber. Got back a brand new Mighty with serial number near 12000.

So far so god. Realized some new things and got some information from a S&B Engineer.
-new o-rings in very light blue
-the cooling unit turns with less effort till it snaps hard toward the last angle. Hope this prevents from breaking in the near future.
-the cooling unit is aligned 100% with the heater
-no more loose batteries or heater. They are fixed with foam rubber. When jiggling the device there is nothing to hear
-because of the foam rubber there is no more cracking of the housing when pressure on it, at least my new device. Old one was serial 2200
-the mouth piece does take more effort to turn out and sits better in position
-the device feels more solid in general
-the temperature drop with full batteries to reset the 1 minute shut off does finally work like supposed to (or the minivap has trained my lungs in absence of the mighty)
- no more Error 004 in the new firmware. Error 004 means heater not working. Some of us ,me including , have such heavy draws, the unit thinks the heater is dead because of massive temperature drops over 30 seconds
-vibration working good so far when attempting temperature

They are working on a lot of problems mentioned in this thread ( I read the entire mighty and crafty thread, I own both and some more devices ).

The breaking housing should be resolved in the near future. They are apologizing much for this and we're sending out the new device sealed with accessories. Hole procedure took 5 days since sending out the broken device.

They are working on a new firmware with a two point controller to make sure the unit is vibrating because temperature level is overhit like the crafty does. Look at the temperature of the display on your mighty. The unit is approaching the set temperature very slowly which results in not vibrating sometimes with empty batteries....

They have a solution for the 4 breaking cooling rips around the filling chamber but not implemented this in production yet, apologizing again.

The design of the mighty not standing or lying flat down was a design decision from one of the managers. Guess out which one yourself, don't want to tell to much ;)

They thought of much more like a grinder attached to the filling aid, about the size of the sieves ( I was complaining about the coarse ones but the decision is justified for people not cleaning the chamber directly after use, the fine sieve will clog to fast) , the clear plug of the filling unit not being closed or even a pressure sensor for recognizing a draw to reset the timer..I promise you there aren't much things they didn't think of in the last 3 years of the developing work. These guys are genius'. Was discussing some more ideas I had (studying engineering in the last semesters and long time stoner) and you guys of the forum had and for every thing there is a justification apart of the housing breaking and the mighty not standing upwards.

Customer service is great! Write a nice letter, be understand-full, give critics and with a little bit of luck you get a new device and some worth full extras!

Excuse misspelling and grammar, I am German and this is my first post. Hope it is not too long but I wanted to share the Infos I got from S&B for thank you for your infos I got lurking around here after buying my first vaporizer in 2013.

Dang I thought the housing breaking was only on the crafty, thanks for all the info!

One of my batteries does seem to rattle at times, maybe this is enough for me to return and get the update with the firmware too.

Keep forgetting to look at my serial number so I know how long it had been sitting on the shelf at the head shop. I haven't heard anything rattling when moving it about so maybe it's already one of the newer ones. Last night I noticed the double vibrate on reach temp didn't go off but that's pretty minor. It doesn't take long to heat up so I'm typically glancing at it anyway.

Wish I could go back in time; would have gone right to the Mighty and saved myself $100 on that G Pro.

My main concern is the casing breaking say in 2 years since mine doesn't have the padding mentioned above.

$100 wasted is nothing in vape finder terms, hell it feels good I only wasted $180, think most waste a good $300 before they find right vape

I'm quite sure they won't replace units that aren't defective obviously. A simple rattle won't be enough imo. But if you have really one of the earlier models, you could try to provoque the error 004 by drawing hard on an empty chamber and a nearly empty batterie with one or two bars left.
Don't try to send your unit in without verifying if you have really an old firmware if you might think to do that now. The people at S&B should know if you are telling the truth because of the firmware.
Or you should hope it cracks before warranty ends :D

I "wasted" over 1000€ on vaporizers and accessoires, combusting for 2 years with a volcano collecting dust before I found the mighty which makes me stop smoke finally. Had the crafty before but batterie wasn't powerfull enough. VAS will make me spend some money on the next few vapes I already have planed to purchase for birthday anyway...

Thanks for the tip I did get that error onces as I was trying to be fast and hit the crap out of it right off the bat at 200c before company came over. I held down the power button and it reset at the time. Wouldn't they just tell me to hard reset it instead of replacing it with that error code?

I can't speak for them till I don't work there (would be nice anyway) and was only in contact with S&B germany. But send them an email and ask kindly why your unit is doing this weird thing all the time and the manual said you have to return your admirable mighty which you love so much and I suppose they will take care of you since you have two friends who want to pull the trigger too but are quite unsure because of this error and how warranty works with a German device or you plan to buy a backup unit depending on whatever blabla ;) I'm sure you can figure out something

Great Scott!
Was able to get an upgrade to the mighty from the crafty I sent in for repair. They let me pay the difference to upgrade. Very good customer service for sure.

Anyone found a way to charge the mighty from a usb battery pack? Maybe a correct adapter would work? Or is it not powerful enough even with 2.1amps?

I'll be ordering the official car charger whenever I get some extra cash. Very excited to see if the Mighty is a better fit.

Nice from S&B changing out the crafty for an upgrade! Batterie is much better, bought the mighty after the crafty because batterie limitations where destroying the user experience!

2.1 amps with 5volts are 10 watts. The mighty pulls more than 30 watts when heating and charging at same time If I remember right. Don't now how you can connect a car adapter to usb, don't think there is an adapter, you have to cut one of your chargers. The mighty should take 5-6 hours to charge per usb when the battery pack is at maximum output if a connection is even possible because of the low current. Don't try this with cheap battery packs without over current protection! Usb 2.0 can't take much more than 10 watts.
There are bigger batterie packs where you can connect notebooks and bigger power consumers if really necessary. Better stick with the car charger and a second charger at work if necessary and get a daisy for zombie scenarios and survival trainings without electricity...

@mixchu69
Can't reply in the "crafty vs ascent" thread anymore and our discussion was more mighty-based anyway, so I continue here. Finally I understand the differences in draw numbers you were getting. Couldn't believe the large differences of draws to my personal experience even if is someone with iron lungs could finish a bowl in 3 or 4 hits, even with shitty material it should be hard without water (and I really don't think you're using bad material) but I have to say I finish my bowls at 200 degrees until there is no vapor. Packing tight with middle fine grind isn't good for flavor but for effects which I need personally to get satisfied. Disliked volcano first besides of the bags for that reason, even on 230 light brown ABV and not enough cbd effects for me.
I will try your method tomorrow and see if I can get the same high like from the volcano just for the morning session until taste disappears and hitting the ABV again later the day because sometimes I can enjoy a nice high without being to wrecked. Which temperature do you all use and do you all really finish your bowls until there is no more vapor? For me it was self understanding even if weed is not too expensive for me. @mixchu69 perhaps you want to try a little more finer grind and packing just a little bit more and finish the bowl entirely if you can stand the popcorn taste. perhaps if you really finish a bowl at 200 degrees the size is not too small anymore besides the awful taste towards the end. Be aware packing this style will get much denser hits in my experience . Don't feel offended, want to keep the nice tone you guys have (not always easy because you guys don't want to learn German, I suppose  and writing on English is harder for me) because I really appreciate the forum. Normally I'm only a passive member or do even not sign up in forums because of the rude tone and stupidness but the community here rocks! Was reading here for two years before deciding to give the forum something back.

My posts are getting longer and longer and I'm writing weird I realize, to much mighty and minivap comparing today and I like to talk to much when buzzed. I better go to sleep after a last pure kief super lemon haze bowl in my mighty :science:
My wife is already pissed because I'm with my new online friends the entire day

Enjoy the kief! I've been mixing some in, but a little hesitate to run it pure kief since I worry the grains will fall through. If you do it, well then I MUST too haha

Should have said I use the small basket of the Minivap for kief now! It works without basket slightly better but cleaning the stainless steel border of the bowl afterwards is much harder than pillowed kief between some weed, cotton, ABV or a basket and you should make sure to place a fine sieve in your CU!
Was bad dreaming about new users hating me because the kief disappears in the CU with one draw because of the coarse screen

Just clean directly after vaping if you are still capable and you should be good.

(P.s. Small rolled up kief balls are working quite good too, depending on strain and heat)

Ok I'm really away for now it is 01:55 o'clock here in my place!

Hahaha, no I always run it with oil pad on top. I went to put just the kief in and stopped, ha, went with small layer of bud as always.. now I have to get that basket.

I actually enjoy the aspect that it can crush me in 4 long pulls. My grind is real fluffy and find less of popcorn taste, just on the fourth pull. I use highest temp. The mighty hits hard. I probably could take 2 more pulls of vapor but most times don't do it because of taste and wispy vapor.

I think the arizer baskets are fitting, too, and are a little bit cheaper than MV baskets. Perhaps somebody can confirm before you waste money or search the forum, only remembering what I read somewhere on FC.

@mixchu69
You officially have iron lungs! Tried your method. First draw cut my throat after 15 sec. Couldn't use my full lung volume. Coughing, massive clouds, not far from my tcmv on red when working fine, a little bit less harsher when inhaling in some way. Tried to finish as fast as possible anyway. 8-10 draws until vapor fades out, so no more to say

Haha. I use the same technique as my minivap, start inhaling at a moderate speed for the first five seconds, then really open up my lungs and pull harder and deeper til it taps me out. You also have to remember that I combusted for 15+ years and used tall bongs that required enormous lung capacity to snap the bowl thru in one hit. It was always competitive between me and my friends, so everyone developed "breathing muscles."

I can use the mighty like yourself if I took smaller pulls and did not start the session at the highest heat. I have other vapes that are better for long sessions. I love the mighty for the punch and quick medication. It hits hardest out of all my portables, yet the vapor is always cool.

Hi all,

I'm a frenchie so excuse by advance my poor english :-)
I'm a newcomer when it comes about vaporisation. I've bought an Imag+ just one week ago.
The effect is good (great even), but the taste is poor, it consumes my weed really fast without producing visual vapor and more importantly, vaping affects my lungs like if I had smoked a lot (that I didn't). It's like my lungs are heavy when i'm vaping, it's feel unconfortable and strange. No need to tell you that I have never experienced this with regular joints and that I smoke for 7 years now.

I've also tried yesterday the Da Vinci Ascent. The taste is a bit better (still not great), it consumes the weed slower with a bit of vapor, and still affect my lung (but less stronger).
My theory is that the vapor produced by this two is too hot for my poor little lungs. I think they don't control perfectly their temperature (specialy the Imag+)

When I look at the Mighty, it looks like the exact opposite : great vapor, strong taste and more importantly the fact that there is a system to cool down the vapor's temp makes me think this is what I need.

What do you think ? Will the Mighty be less harmful for me and produced more vapor ? I think my weed is not perfect for vaporisation but it's still bio weed that a friend produced and it's f'cking good in combustion.

Thanks ! :D

Ok I see where your training comes from. I was quitting bongs 10 years ago because I got problems with tar in my lungs and (re-)started to enjoy joints because of the social aspect. Vaporize wasn't yet a question for me until 2 years ago. Did only know the Volcano, too, like every newbie at those times and I was way to cool to use a device like that.
I remember those lung busting competitions with friends when smoking revolver bongs in a row , I suggest less heavier than yours anyway.
So I'm used to consume MJ more like joint sessions now. I use your technique only with the minivap because there is no other way to make it work but feel more comfortable with the mighty in terms of usage and easiness.

I'm quite curious which vape you consider to be better for long sessions than the mighty? I never experienced this: now I have VAS and don't even know for which vape! :freak: Please help me to cure it!

@Viskuld

I can't promise the migty is the right choose for you, but it is a great device! I stopped combusting with it after 18 years of smoking ca. 5g in about 10 nearly pure joints a day. I always had more pressure on my lungs when starting to vaporize with the volcano than combusting when I try to get the same amount of vapor like I get from a joint, but over the last past 2 months I am exclusively vaporizing I'm getting used and can enjoy great , cool clouds without coughing finally. I'm using 2g a day now after nicotine lag was gone. Read up in the forum or even better take a day in Amsterdam or Rotterdam if you want make sure your money is well spent. There are different stores where you can try vaporizers with your own weed if you make clear you won't leave without buying one device.

For me the mighty is incredible, I don't go anywhere without it (ok, sometimes I have the crafty in my pocket)
But I suggest you won't hear real bad things about the mighty apart price, plastic and some early development problems which should be resolved soon (read up last pages for further informations)

@adam_baumm
Thx for welcome me and your advice. Perhaps removing the sieve of the chamber enlarges the bowl to make them fit anyway? Just thinking... MV basket fits great!

Thank you Michel :-]
I totaly believe the Mighty is Awesome. In fact, I was thinking buying it at first, but i saw people being excited about the Imag+ on an other forum so I gave it the try because it was less expensive.

You seem to think that's it's normal to feel pressure on the lungs at first, but what do you think about my theory that the vapor is not cooled enough on Imag+ and Ascent ? Do you think the Mighty would be less agressive ? Is the vapor's temperature the reason I feel my lungs that way ?

I've already read your post about Storz & Bickel news. I'm glad I didn't buy it right away! Do you think you will know when the last reamaining problems will be fixed ?

Sry I haven't any informations about releasing a version 2.0 or any updates of the housing. S&B won't notify me about their development progress, too. I can only try to get new Infos when sending in the Crafty (I dropped it hard). Perhaps they are trying to resolve the breaking housing with the new smaller light blue o-ring only and see if it helps. It wasn't what they told me in the phone but I could imagine they'll try a workaround before changing production. They said they are concerned of the breaking housing and working on a solution, but not really much more.
I expected only a new housing because he pointed out that implementing changes in the production is not as fast as they would like... My own interpretation...

Don't forget I got back a brand new unit with all accessoires. So I have everything twice including charger and filling tool. They send me besides of the new sealed unit new sieves and picking tools and some other stuff for free! For me this deal was ok!
Be nice and they will be nice too if a repair should really be required in your warranty. At least you already have a backup unit :D

Don't tried the ascent or the icmag, but I think it is not heat causing pressure on your lungs. Normally heat does dry out your mouth and causes throat irritation in the back of your mouth. You can feel the heat if you put your tongue in front of the vapor path. When drawing on your lips directly you will feel the heat for sure, too.
Pressure and coughing could be caused more by the way of extraction of the device and the amount of burned particles and the amount of vapor, of course. Pen style vapes aren't great for flower anyway from what I learned yet.
I don't know a vaporizer smoother than the mighty or a working MV besides the Volcano, but I don't know them all, yet! The mighty sometimes even tastes better than the MV on the very first draws and is much cooler for the throat but looses taste faster. I'm sure you could find a working technique for you. From sipping to hitting, everything works fine with the right temperature...

I'm not far from the French boarder some times, so if you want to try my small, pricey arsenal I can offer you a discret hour with my babies... :brow:

If you want to jump in I know where to get the mighty for 300€

@diddymao

just got this charging my mighty

http://www.amazon.co.uk/20000mAh-Mu...ne&ie=UTF8&qid=1424211880&sr=1-1&keywords=12v

im never going to run out of battery again ........

Could you explain how you connect the mighty to the anker Batterie pack?

I'd certainly be interested by a Mighty at 300€ if you can confirm that it'd be the new version with all the modifications you previously posted and that the warante would still be in :-)

I've been'smoking/combustion yesterday because I didn't want to augment lungs pressure and it was way worst when I went to bed, like heavy burn feeling on the lungs. So the Imag+ and Ascent did'nt do well at all. I'll stop vaping/smoking for'the next days to help my lungs feel good again.
So I'm very interested when you say the way the Mighty extract may be healthier and the vapor smoother. I want one :-]

Don't know which serials "namastevapes" are selling currently for 300€. They have a pretty poor communication and are acting as Ltd. from UK. Friend of me bought a vape here anyway without any problems.

If you want to make sure to have a even newer serial than mine, get it from S&B Germany directly. Free shipping to EU if I remember right.

Like I said I sadly don't know them all and can't compare the ascent or imag to the mighty. I can only say the mighty is one of the smoothest, easiest and heavy medicating portables I ever tried! The MFLB does irritate my lungs and throat until I have severe coughs and chest pain from coughs after some back to back sessions all day long. I gave up with it often and started to combust (even with Volcano at home, but only because I dislike bags and pumps)
Not so with the mighty. So smooth, I don't even need to drink same time when vaping... And I vape a lot! Just tickles when too much vapor inhaled, at least for me and my technique. When hitting like @mixchu69 full temp full volume I think I'm gonna die even with the mighty :D
Perhaps somebody could jump in and can compare the vapor of the mighty with the ascent.
But in the end, personal tastes can be quite different. But I think every vaporist can find a way to enjoy the mighty, depending if sipping on high temp or hitting on low temp. With the precise temperature control of S&B units and repeatable results you should be able to adapt your draw to find the right amount of active substances to just feel the vapor in your lungs without beeing uncomfortable. For me and my style of long session vaping, mighty feels most of the time something between simply drawing air through a straw (but with clouds!) and combusting a pure blunt which forces me to swallow once before my throat can even breath again to release the immense clouds... Just depends all on temp, draw speed and length, used material and how the bowl is packed. With this 4 variables you should find your way to enjoy vaping! (Or did I oversee a variable?)
When you get a mighty for traveling, get a mobile phone screen protector and cut it for the size of the mightys display because it scratches easily and attracts finger prints. To this directly after taking your mighty out of the box because of dust. On my second unit you can't see the protective screen at all!
