Discontinued Zion vaporizer

If I wasn't all of a sudden rolling in portables (and portables to come), I would definitely be in on this one! What's not to like; wood and glass, convection, great battery life not to mention aesthetics

I know. I just went crazy during holiday season and bought too many portables. After I see some reviews, I'll probably get one down the road. With all the recent love for log vapes, it was perfect time to come out with this portable.

I do not make it off the farm to often for travels. I am hoping to make it to the Zen Den and reclaim that 2x4 that is mine and I miss. It is the only convection unit I own and all of my others are shit and I might as well grab the magnifying glass and a pipe. @RastaBuddhaTao, knows I am dying to get it back.

@cybrguy . Nothing to regale but stories of sorrows and the absence of my 2x4, my new appendage.

Yes! @stickstones and @pakalolo will have full disclosure in this thread. In keeping with the theme of full transparency will allow the entire FC community to discuss the issues that may arise greatly enhancing the feedback and accelerating improvements.

I do have a small confession to make and that is a have been enjoying MrP's 2x4 since I put the volt meter on it. It allows me to se how stable the voltage is and how repeatable it is. One eye opening thing is that the voltage slowly decays at high power right near the end of the battery life... Have to ask my electrical engineer about that... I don't know it it's is the diode at the start of cutout or what? I think I will buy some more and also outfit the batteries. I have been monitoring the batteries with a volt meter as recommended by @pakalolo and they seem to track really close with minimum voltage spread.

But now I have new potentiometers and fixed resistors to work on better dialing in the temperature range for better temperature accuracy so....

Zion 2x4 unit two users will be supplying me and update this weekend just for you @cybrguy . They took it on a field trip to meet some of their friends so I'm am interested in hearing how it went

Work on the Zion-12 is going well. Already learned a ton on manufacturing that tricky little cap. Progress is slow but taking time to learn along the way is the value in prototyping no?

Now, if we only had a faster way @thekarmawhore ????

3d printers are some of the coolest shit that they've invented in a long time.That and this totally kick ass vaporizer.Thats so cool.Damn this is really getting ready to happen.Super Stoked.

I must admit I am truly sick. I sit here with my enail, Nano, and 2 solos on the table in front of me. That and a whole fuckload of UpTech gear on my left. And I am still chomping at the bit for this.

Ok so @thekarmawhore and his fancy 3D printer might be fast and all but the real deal isn't far behind. All kidding aside, it will be nice to test fit the magnets in the Rapid Prototype I must admit

Had the 2x4 #2 owners submit the following....

Another week has gone by and still a fan! The power that this small device packs still amazes me. I kind of feel bad for our Da Buddha because we have opted to use our Zion even while at home. The batteries last a long time and we can take it from room to room during commercial breaks lol! We have had NO issues with this device although we heard another tester had a issue. I can hardly wait for the new refined design. I have small hands and the 2x4 is pretty easy for me to hold with one hand however the new design seems a bit smaller with rounded edges and more stylish . We took it on the road again while visiting some friends with "healthy lungs" and they didn't want to use it at first but couldn't believe the draws they could get (clouds all around). Needless to say they are a fan and wanted to know where they could get one! Man...camping, boating and festivals are going to be awesome this year with our Zion along for the ride. Keep up the good work and we'll keep puffin'!

Damn how do you expect us to get anything done.I've been dreaming 24-7 Zion,Zion,Zion.I cant believe that 1 mos. after i purchased "My last perfect vaporizer" and then I seen the very first Zion post on FC and I've been hooked.The Zion has caused me to be a liar to my wife (when I told her the FF was my perfect end all vape)and a day dreamer to which I cant get anything done.I'm Patiently Waiting.Kinda

I love the one in the middle front row. They all look amazing, but that one has my eye.

Yeh the one in the middle is Poplar. Sometimes you get the dark streaks
