Pen Imag Plus

I've looked into the grasshopper but that thing will never ship lol

Not sure what to do. I have my solo and love it. The taste, various settings, and just overall quality has set the bar a little high and the flowermate was a disappointment.

I want something more stealthy and portable and while pens fit that description perfectly, I'm worried the quality of the vape experience will pale in comparison.

IMHO you should go with the Air, people have been doing some mods with covering the glass tube with some black type plastics and it is pretty stealthy. The Air taste with longer stems is equal to the solo and even with the short stems it is pretty good.

Yeah ive had both imag plus original and ceramic, the old oven might've been a bit better, but the new ceramic is probably equally as harsh as FlowerMate, though at least the temp is slightly lower on setting one on Imag. Short airpaths and session conduction is too harsh for me these days, plus no truly low temps on these models either unfortunately

The Imag+ Ceramic is not a candy a$$ vape that is for sure. If you just came off regular bongs, blunts and joints this would probably be the best one on the market. The aesthetics, the easy of use and the hits are amazing IMO but I am also a fan of 410F+ for my vaping.

Yes for the joint/blunt smoker this vape is pretty much perfect. It is essentially like a vapor joint in my mind lol

Hey guys, i have an IMAG plus and the mouthpiece gets clogged pretty badly when i use with bud... Has anyone got a mouthpiece suggestion that would fit for this or something? Overall a great unit but the mouthpiece restricts so much vapor ;_;

Easy solution - place a solo sized screen over the herb chamber once packed, then insert the mouthpiece. This has worked well for me.

Thanks for the idea, I will try this tonight, I didn't think it was safe to put it in there haha.

I broke open the filter on the mouthpiece and just add a screen on top of the chamber, works well.
Thanks for the idea, seems like this will be my best bet.

One more thing, does anyone know how to clean the filter on the mouthpiece? It's clogged with herb and doesn't pull like the first time I used it. I'm completely unsure as to how I should go about cleaning these holes...

You can probably scrub them, but breaking that area worked for me, that way you can just replace the screen on top of the load when it gets plugged.

heyho. im having sick results with cotton and wax/bho/solid hash with the imag+!

take organic cotton and pick a just a layer off of it. about 3x3cm (bit more than 1x1 inch).
place concentrate all over the cotton layer. roll it up like a joint :)
insert intot imag oven set to first temp, enjoy rise temp, enjoy, rise temp, be wasted!

So the original with the iron chamber vs. ceramic updated version, how's the taste? Seems to be so many mixed reviews. Some say it's so so, others say just the first hit is tasty and everything else is that burnt popcorn taste. Id most likely keep it on the lowest temp setting for a less harsh, tastier vapor.

This appears to be the same as the Source Ghost. Ironically the ghost is also undergoing an upgrade with the ceramic chamber, updated mouthpiece, and a new LCD display from what I've read. Probably just a rebranded device.

My old one, first couple of hits taste good then it is just OK. I like the stealth of it.

The new one works like that as well. First few hits are tasty and then it goes a little blunt just like most conduction vapes. It can taste a bit odd with some strains but nothing horrible. Just roasted herb taste. Just not as nice as with convection vapes... :)

I really should get down on my ass and write that review soon. The model has come out in the market and I still haven't reviewed my beta! :(

I have the V2 and i am very impressed with the unit. for what it's worth and considering the price, i would have good faith in this. it's s a wise investment.

Has anyone kept track of how many sessions they got out of a full charge? If so please let me know what model you have as well. If we run on the hottest setting everytime vs the lowest setting every session would that reduce the amount of sessions the battery charge can hold?
to give you a number of sessions i would have to say 11 or 12. keep in mind i charge the device almost every day.

For the old one click HERE
If it is the new ceramic, just put an extra screen between chamber and mouthpiece, as others suggested already. Works fine!

I just poked holes in the screen attached to the mouthpiece and lay a screen across the top of the chamber. Works like a charm.

FYI the screen off screen on the new ceramic with the bigger holes fits perfectly in the chamber upside down (take off the MP) this is good for water pipe attachment which i have been testing 2 solutions so far.

I too have been holding off reviewing the imag+ beta i received over a month ago.

I want to like and enjoy a free sample as much as the next guy.i am not prepared though to give a positive review on a unit that I feel falls short on a number of basic vape functions.

i have used the imag for 20 or so sessiona and did several burn offs when i received it

issues for me include the following.

draw restriction: draw has been restricted on the imag to prevent the heater being overpowered.Slow draws are required or very little vapor is produced from my unit anyways. The imag produces visible clouds, but thin and cooked quickly into a session and with a background plastic taste im ready to dump just after a few draws and switch my imag off.

Construction: the unit is heavy and heats up becoming hot to the touch quickly.i think imag should have a look at what arizer did with the Air and vent the oven rather than allowing the whole unit to heat up like a soldering iron.

Hits: the mouthpiece being so close to the oven means vapor becomes too hot quickly

the led light for the button can be viewed through the air inlets of yhe oven when the unit is empty meaning its in the airpath.

I added a disc of carbon fibre tape to the front of my led to soften the glow.its just a ring of light now much better.

the two minute shut off should at least be increased to 5 minutes.im just getting into my session after 2 minutes.

my last improvement would be the mouthpiece to include the bowl rather than allowing the herb to soak in an oven contained in the device and lose flavour.

I keep returning to the imag hoping performance will improve with usage and i have modified the mouthpiece and used screens etc to improve things but I m reaching for the off button early into the session.

nice try imag but in my humble opinion not quite there yet.seal that airpath please.

the positives to end the review on a good note. The imag heats up to temperature very quickly and seems to hold oven temperature well.i have not experienced combustion.highest temperature red toasts product to a dark coffee consistency.

if imag improve the airpath and plastic offgassing this unit might suit light users who need a quick hit now and again.I might refill the imag 4 or 5 times in 1 session and by then its too hot to use comfortably.

Nice review but I have to point out that since the release of your beta there are carbon fibre versions came out, with sealed airpath, already reviewed here. Although the sinking screen-bowl is such a great idea, that I am on it to build one already :)

The Imag Plus could definitely use some upgrades but I am pretty happy with mine. If the new one was closer in price to what I paid for my current one I would probably even buy it ($59 was the cost).

Did they fix the issue with the herb getting stuck to the bottom of the mouthpiece filter? I use a filter on the top of the chamber anyways.

According to the manufacturer the iMag+ Ceramic has a high failure breaking rate, but the mouthpiece is better.

With that being said I tried both the Ceramic and Titanium, and I preferred the Titanium Version better. Why?
Because if i drop it it wont crack (the chambers), heats up way faster, doesn't have a metalltic taste, and its cheaper.
