I have chronic bronchitis and im looking for a good Dry herb digital vape that doesnt combust. My main goal is a clean smooth vape.

I have tried a cheaper Digital vape for around 45 but of course for that price it doesnt work well. I need a reliable one that will last for a long time.

Any help with this is appreciated very much!

Edit: My budget is around $150

There are many factors to consider when buying a vape.

Do you want a desktop vape for home use or perhaps something you can bring with you when you leave the house? Would you like to have the option to hook it up to a water pipe for extra filtration & cooling? Are you interested in having a delivery method via whip, bag, etc?

Perhaps due some lurking in the Ask FC section where you posted this, as others have asked the same question and you may benefit from their inquires. It may help give you an idea of what type of vaporizer you're looking for.

The best portable without combustion that'll provide great battery life, the smoothest and tastiest hits, and highly rated and recommended by many is easily the arizer solo.

Arizer Solo, if your in the states go to puffitup.com, send a message & mention FC, Randy will hook you up!

Welcome to FC!

Thank you For the Quick Reply! I Just looked into the Arizer Solo and i have to admit the review seem great so far from a Lot of different sources! But after looking everywhere one thing i cant seem to find is its life expectancy. I originally went into this looking for a non portable home vaporizer because iv read many places that there are the most dependable for non combustion, but after seeing and reading up on the Arizer im starting to lean towards towards it because its size is nice! Is there a known way to equip a water filtering end to it?

I am looking for a desktop Vape using a whip. (Iv read about using water-pipes for extra cooling but its hard to find reliable information on other sites about them - that's why i came here) I have lurked in some other threads asking about this, but i have not yet seen a thread looking for an as pure as possible vape for medical reasoning's. Perhaps i just missed them =/

That is so untrue. I get far better taste, clouds and battery life from my Mighty/Crafty. I sold my Solo because it could not hold a candle to these vapes!

Also the Solo's have extreme draw resistance. If you like big open hits, this vape is not for you.

I think the Crafty/Mighty is way out of my price rage witch is Near $150
These are not the only vapes out there which won't feel like your lungs are in some kind of epic battle with your vape for the precious vapor between them!

If you don't mind big draw resistance and are don't have high usage requirements, the solo will be a good choice.

Otherwise, you may need to consider spending more to meet your needs. IME, those of us with high usage needs from our vapes have to spend more because the expensive options are the only ones which meet our needs.

There are other portables I know of that can deliver big open no restriction hits within your price range like the Lotus, but it is possible to combust using this...

Whoa wait you have chronic bronchitis... Do not buy the Solo.

You don't want to be working your lungs extra hard just because your vape has extra draw resistance. I would consider using edibles to avoid damaging your airways further or dabbing dewaxed shatters so that at least you are only inhaling the actives.

yup, mighty is great. when it works.... sigh...I haven't built up the heart to post in the mighty thread since I last let them know my first replacement for the original one I got (which worked great for me) had crapped out after a couple days & a second replacement was on its way... SIGH...... im currently waiting for my 3rd replacement. as the 2nd one I had also crapped out right out of the box. I don't know if I want to leave such terrible news in the actual thread considering just how wonderful the 1st one worked for me. really though, the mighty is the best as far as I would recommend.

mod note: In an Ask FC thread, please respond to the OP's question only. Your post is completely off topic.

↑ First off you came to the right place. This site proved itself a treasure trove of vape knowledge when I was in the process of saying F-You to combustion. I did an immense amount of lurking before I was a member too, its all part of the process.

I recommend you consider DaBudda. It is a desktop whip-style vaporizer that uses glass on glass connection. I chose it because of a simple design, durable build, and it is effective. Dry or wet hit you can blow clouds. I've had mine almost two years in that time it has suffered a 3 foot drop to rough pavement with so much as a ding to the housing, glass intact.

DBV is one of many units out there where if you want to take long slow draws on the whip to stretch your bud - thats cool. If you want to hook it up to a bong and take rips that works too. The LifeSaber & VapeXhale Cloud function similarly with respect to DBV. The Plenty is also a noteworthy whip vape (made by the same folks who engineered the Volcano) to check out if you have the dough. DBV is generally regarded as a good bang for your buck vaporizer, sitting at $190 on their site all with a 3 year warranty. Also available for $50 less are non used, non refurb units which may contain blemishes. Happy hunting!

Buying a vape is like buying a car or tv. While it is a substantial investment, it is not going to be your final purchase. Vaping is a life long journey. Only you can decide which factors are important. I second the blem DBV and Enano or Underdog.

For your budget, your needs, if you need portable, I think that the Arizer Solo is the way to go. It is not the BEST vape, of course (there really ain't such animal..), but for your price point, it's good. Really good.

You can also cruise the classifieds here on FC... there are often amazing deals on better vapes, both portable and desktop, and see if one appears to be a better deal.

For your price point, go look at the Solo thread, maybe see what @CarolKing comments about hers, and go from there.

Its your duty to report the truth!! Haha

I love my solo...the air sounds like the vape for you...the draw resistance isnt too horrible. Its there but with the amazing vapor i get from these things its no biggie...the air is stealthy as it gets while keeping that great vapor taste
IMO

I havent seen the OP saying he needs a portable. Solo is a tank and a great vaporizer but you mentioned reliability and a good desktop will likely outlast even the solo.

For your lungs; I would think a free flowing vaporizer that allows alot of temp control would be prefered. This way you can really tune your hits. I would also recommend a bubbler (good ones can be had for $30).

Are you in the US? If so I highly recommend increasing your budget alittle bit and getting the enano (10% off coupon around here will reduce the cost some). Its extremely efficient and will save you $$$ on herb. Its also very simple and will last a long time, has temp control built in, free flowing air flow, and easy to pair with water. Another option I hear about is the herbalaire, seems to have alot in common with the enano, still I wonder if its as efficient.

I gotta chime in here. I am currently testing the HerbalAire Elite, which works just like the HerbalAire 2.2.

It's a little different from most vapes out there, and I will get into that when I get my review out there, but after just one night of use I can see this guy needs to check it out. The 2.2 is cheap, has a three year warranty and is tough as nails. But what's really interesting is that it uses whole nugs and only goes up to 400F. At first I thought this would be a limitation, but I am coming around to a different understanding. The whole nugs and lower temp keep the herb from getting beat up and scorched, which releases less junk in the vapor stream. This thing gets nowhere near combustion and the hits are very easy on the throat. The vapor is less cloudy (I'm only one night in, though) but the effects are nice and strong.

A digital vape for under $150 limits your choices to a very small number. Consider dropping the digital requirement for a much broader range of choice.

I have posted this many times, but it bears repeating: if you are straining to get a hit, you're pulling too hard!

Vapourizers aren't bongs. Some have free flow, but many (*cough*SoloPax*cough*) are designed to restrict the flow for a variety of reasons, and pulling so much that you feel resistance is a dead giveaway that you're doing it wrong. Pulling harder won't get you anywhere and will probably work against you in terms of vapour production, and absolutely does in terms of physical effects like headaches and a sore jaw.

I know dude, but open airflow is really much better for someone with a lung condition. This is more conducive to getting the same amount of medication through with less inhalation effort.

I get it, plenty of people can get great results for their needs with vapes with draw restriction. Still, why would we recommend something to a patient with lung problems which even if they were not inhaling too hard, would give more draw resistance than other devices? I cannot fathom this making sense as an option. I won't enter into any further discussion so as not to derail the thread, but I've said my piece. Agree or not, my friend ;)

I had a PD that had a lot of draw resistance but for me, the way I overcame it was to not lock my lips around the tube but rather do it loosely so you take in some air along with the vapor and draw slowly. That way, one can draw without hardly any draw resistance whatsoever. I would think the same thing would hold true for the Solo.

With most vaporizers, it all about technique and finding the technique that works best for you.

But yeah, if I was going to recommend a vaporizer for someone who had decreased lung functions, I would recommend a vaporizer that used a bag as a delivery system for those vapes have no draw restriction whatsoever while still being able to deliver a VERY healthy hit.

That's it man, for most people draw resistance is just a matter of preference, but for those with lung issues vaporizing is already something I'm hesitant to recommend over edibles etc, so I wanna make sure at the very least there is the most delivery of meds for the least inhaling :-)

EDIT: This really is my last post on the topic lol, sorry guys!

Why are you sorry? The OP has chronic bronchitis and is looking for a vaporizer to use. Seems to me that posts discussing which vaporizers to use for those that have decreased lung function is right on topic and can provide some great insight to those who want to vaporize but have these kinds of issues.

But I also agree with you in that one must tread very carefully in regards to inhaling anything other than clean air or oxygen when one has any kind of lung diseases going on.

And...yet, as a person with asthma (and who went through Bronchitis a month ago), I find that vaping with mmj, with a little work to it, has INCREASED my lung capacity, and my breathing problems are a little less.

My first vape pen had a HELL of a tight draw... I ended up trashing it, actually. But technique is key, yes.

I've tried the Solo (once, thank you @CarolKing !), and I didn't think that was very hard to draw. Remember, you can loosen up your herb a bit, don't pack so tightly, and sip at it.
