I got the vapman lighter filled with some Colibri? Butane and am ready for a weekend of testing. I think my old butane was the cheap $4 can. One of those adapters could work, but want to fill this with premium, if I can use a car analogy. Hopefully colibri is good. First move, concentrate sieves.

I was pretty sure everyone else would be using the pins as pokers. Glad I'm not alone :)

I've managed to develop a crack in the wood of my Vapman. Its most visible when looking at the bowl but can be seen from the back too. It's half way between 2 of the air intakes. Starts near the bowl and is travelling towards the outer edge.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've dropped the little fella once from about knee height but I don't think thats enough of an impact to make it crack?

Only other thing I can think of that may have caused it is over heating it when using concentrates?

I'll post a photo of it later today when I get home.

@vapman I would like to see a vapman made of Teak wood, if it's suitable. The reason is because it is a very strong, durable wood, and very resistant to rot (a prized wood for shipbuilding). I found out about it through vaporgenie vaporizers - they make a pipe from Teak.

@vapman or if someone else can confirm it. I saw this picture a while ago and I wondered what types of wood some of these vapmen were made from. At first I thought maybe some of them were different shades of pear and walnut. But now I believe they are other woods which I haven't seen for sale in the store or anywhere else. What different woods are they made from? I can identify a curly oak, and a walnut. Not sure which though -#2, #3, #6, #7 - look like they could be different shades of walnut. I remember you mentioned the woods in a previous post (page 69, #1710). So for clarification, which woods are each vapman made of in the picture? Which one of the alternative woods, if any, do you plan to make again in the future? (if you don't mind my asking.) Sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't see a post about it. My aesthetic opinion is that the second one and the sixth one draw my attention (since I don't know what they are, but they are particularly striking as well). They are all beautiful. The fourth one I think is nice, but it seems like any stains would pop out too much.

Mine looks like 6-7. It's American walnut tree. I replaced the middle post with another for some contrast.

Sorry about the initial enthusiasm, but I think I can get used to this ritual. I screwed up the lighting technique and still got delicious clouds with perfectly extracted Abv.

So what do you think? I'm pretty sure its related to heat.

Functionality hasn't changed and I doubt it will. I don't see how a crack could reduce performance.

This does give me a good excuse to buy a walnut basic when I get a heating unit (in about a year).

Edit: sorry about my manky thumb being in the photos! I hit it with a mallet in November last year and still don't have a nail lol

It works very well with all of those. When i use concentrates i use all three screens. I find the vapman better and more efficient than wax pens. with pens you get that build up on the sides. With the vapman there is no waste. just wipe it after use. I sometimes do forget to clean my vapman after using concentrates..when i notice i am getting a little build up, i run some flowers through it. let that oil mix with the flowers..after a few sessions wipe her down with a rag and she is good to go!...

I will have to see once i get mine, should be here Monday. I thought the only "screen" was the metal filter with holes in it. I didn't realize there was actual screens.

I would assume bubble would need to be broken down well.

With concentrates on the vapman, i never get that burnt taste that I experience with some pens. It is extremely smooth and effective, and has a nice taste. The main reason I purchased it was for concentrates, but it's performance with flowers impresses me so much. This is the perfect portable for me.
