@CarolKing I'm sorry you had a rough night. I had that radiating pain down my left leg prior to my spinal fusion. That's they only thing I can say the surgeon did a great job on.

I'm glad you are able typo go to work though and I do hope your don't suffer too much from it. I miss my old job so much sometimes, as I just cannot stand not being out ther using talents to help.

I'll keep you in my very best today.

I agree, surgery really helps with sciatica. If you ever get a choice between a micro-diskectomy and less invasive but ongoing epidural injections and pain drugs, don't even hesitate just get the surgery.

It's been I think 1 1/2 to 2 years since my last epidural steroid shot. I'm hoping the chiropractor can help me, he's really awesome. I swear he has magical hands. Over the last 10 yrs I think I've had around 6 or 7 injections. It's been a while since my last MRI. I will need one before I get another shot. Hopefully it won't come to that. This has progressively gotten worse over the last few weeks. I keep thinking this flair up is going to go away. It's the L4 and L5 disc.

I've been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis.

I deal with pain in my feet daily so that usually is my issue here lately, damn arthritis.

I've got the trusty Solo out with some killer meds, some Alien Fire first. Probably later some U of W strain. Both of these are awesome. Got them for $5 a gram at the Med Cannabis Farmers Market. Such reasonable prices. State stores are too expensive. Hopefully the state legislature isn't going to fuck things up for Med. cannabis. I've just had my cert for cannabis since last May. I'm like a kid in the Candy Store when I go buy meds.

Hmmm... RSO? I'm running through a course of that now, and my baseline joint/arthritis pain is less intrusive. I have - are you ready? - forgotten to medicate. I went over four hours yesterday, and I'm at three + hours now, since I last had a sip of flowers (in the Vapman).

I was magically awake at 4:20am. Most mornings I am. No idea why. Vaped some sedative-ish Indica flowers, then fell back asleep until almost 6am.

I raise a Gong to @ChippyMalone at 4:20am... I'll include @CarolKing in my Metta as well...

good morning, again, boys & girls.

I'm home today, as all FUCKING night, every GODBLESSED fucking hour, I was awake. The hot flashes weren't so bad, this time, it was the FUCKING CHILLS!

I could not be warm. and, I couldn't sleep. No sleep, usually means no patience, no empathy, and no kindness... I turn into mega-bitch. well, it's sleep deprivation.

I'm not actually sleeping yet (though, I think i will be soon...), but I'm not using brain much ("Brain, brain, what is brain?")... and I'm trying to medicate enough to not actually KILL the cats, hubby, or myself. Fortunately, hubby is away at work (temp position, yet it is work!) so he isn't in immanent danger.

I hate middle of the night/wee hours of morning, and trying to medicate. I'm awkward, clumsy, and I have no idea what choices I should be making. Herbs? Flowers? more medicated butter? RSO? FUCK, I'm starting a hot flash right now, remembering the stress of it! FUCKING CORTISOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going back to bed now. Have a lovely day.

@Enchantre I'm so sorry you had such a rough night. I know that feeling of trying to mix up just the right potion but not being able to figure out exactly which type of cannabis will help when you get desperate.

I'm usually awake about a random three hours between midnight and six. Send me a message on Instagram and I'll notice it.

I had a rough night too, and I think it was because I had no edibles that I had used every night since Friday. Going to the pot shop today to get something for tonight.

My neighbor warned me that the exceedingly pleasant weather I've experienced in my first year in the Evergreen State had not been anything close to typical. I said "Of course! Y'all never had my sunny disposition here either."

Good answer!

And, yes for the tinctures... I'm talking middle of the night crap here.

I avoid, like the plague!, any artificial light (very low-light night light in bathroom only) during these nighttime things, other than verifying the time, so that I can more quickly get back to sleep, if possible.

This was just a strong thermal aberration, possibly from too many layers of meds... I've managed to push back the hot flash rollercoaster pretty darned quick, lately, and have gone several hours between instances the past several days. Got stuck in perma-chill mode. however, mind was too active for its own good, too. I have ridden this wave before, too... way back when this rollercoaster season pass first started, the upheavals were even worse than they are now. I'm hoping that this means I'm nearing the end of the season...

Using something new called Blue Rhino. Love the White Rhino. It's starting to kick in I'm getting a little more relaxed. I also bought some bubble hash. I will try that out tomorrow night. I'm actually getting tired. I need a good night sleep. I had some chocolate infused with the canna butter too about 2 hours ago.

I thought this fella would be good here, he needs some company.

Wow! I had a crazy thought on the way to the dispensary and pulled out my phone to check if there were any interesting dispensaries I've been meaning to go to. I found one with a good Friday deal I could combine with a new patient special. This is the first place I've been to that sells all their medical bud in sealed packages. I was truly surprised that they had a, very patient friendly pricing for their "middle shelf" . $6 grams ($21 eighths) of awesome sugary buds that would be top shelf anywhere. They had $12 stuff that looked and smelled no better than the cheaper stuff. It was a refreshing change from having to remind budtenders that this is my medicine and that I appreciate them not handling it with their bare hands. I think I'm a real fan of the sealed packages now.

The sealed packages also really preserve the smell that I think is lost with too much handling when knocked around in the jar too long.

Anyway, I'm thrilled. The Girl Scout Cookies and the Sour OG are really sending me off tonight. And I really need it after this week. It will be nice to have my wife here for a few days, and I'm just hoping I'm physically able to do the weekend's planned activities.

It's only 2:00 am, but I've gotten about five hours of sleep, which is good for me.

I'll be around for a while. Maybe someone else out there will be awake this morning to come play with me here.

I've had a great week of better pain management, but it caught up with me for First Four-Twenty.

Found a little bit of Sour Tsunami CBD and had a bit of that with some other high CBD hash. Had to take half a pain pill, but I've done so well decreasing the narcotics this week that I can't wait to not tell my doctor MMJ is helping me get better pain relief than her poison pills.

I'm a big believer in the topical AVB ointment recipe shared by @Enchantre here. I've been using it consistently all week and have felt more energized, less sore, and have slept better.

Oh, and I'm going to have fun puppy sitting for two Westies for the next two weeks. The cats are very disappointed in me for doing this.

Hooray for a fun First Four-Twenty!
Went to bed early and now I'm up for fun.

My homemade brownies are awesome and very potent. A little session with the E-Nano and I'm going to find a stupid sci fi movie to watch until sunrise.

I wake up around 430 for work I find myself waking up constantly between 4 a d 430 so I might just start getting up at 4

Most days I have work at 5:30 am but luckily it takes me less than 5 minutes to get to work, so I usually roll out of bed at 5:15. I really wanna get used to waking up at 4:30 to give myself a bit more time to start the day right.. But its so damn hard to go to bed before 11, and since I hit the weights 3x a week my body needs a lot of rest (I can literally sleep 11 hours on the days when I dont have to wake up early). Any tips on getting over my aversion towards sleeping early?

Can you fit a 'nap' in for an hour or two between work, weights and 11pm? A nap after work and before the weights might get you enough rem/sleep to invigorate your work-out and allow you to sleep at 11pm and still wake at 4:30 without being sleep deprived.

you know, If I didnt waste a bunch of time when I got home from work then I'd be able to work out right away and then nap, but most days that isnt the case.. Do you lift?

and @clukx I really need to get over the weird stigma of going to bed early.

@Cereal_MF - My workout routines have changed over the years and for the last decade I've been more into cardio than weights. When I was younger it was weights/strength training every other day for an hour or more with little cardio. Now I limit the strength training to 20-30 minutes every other day and that includes core work. On the alternate days its running for an hour or more depending on the running goals. I've also changed the strength training to be more cardio based by working to failure with only one set of reps at lower weights and little to no break in between exercises. I've also switched out some weights for things like pull ups to work more on training the total body for things like rock climbing, hiking, kayaking and mountain biking.

As I got older (Translate to as I got 'old' :myday:.... I became more interested in what I can do versus what I look like I can do. So now I'm less size oriented. It just got to be too time consuming when I transitioned more to the cardio side. Sometimes I switch things up just because the body gets used to the routines and needs to be tricked into progress.

It's been a good while since I've done the official First Four-Twenty. I pretty much stayed in bed except to do some light gardening out at the community garden yesterday. Simply too sore after a day long silversmithing class the day before. Totally worth it though to go and learn new skills to bring back to my home studio.

I woke up around 3 and moved to the guest bedroom to try a different sleeping surface for the rest of the night. I forgot that there was some still untested new buds from a local grower that just finished up their initial cure and are ready to sample. Really nice and mellow stuff with no name.

I've really become a huge fan of storing my cannabis in glass at controlled 62% humidity. What a different it makes over the long term for storage and curing. I've been experiencing some stuff just getting better and better as time goes on.

Anyway, happy first four=twenty to everybody here today.

Missed the 4:20 mark by a bit but oh well. I'm sitting here with some blue cheese in my Solo

Accidentally fell asleep on the couch earlier and woke up a couple hours ago. Hoping this knocks me out again

I was a fireman for 22 years and worked 24 hour shifts. Back then, smoking a doob on the ride home at 9AM would put me to sleep. Today, I get to sleep in my own bed every night, but usually can't string more than six hours. I don't think I've slept more than 3 or 4 hours without waking up in my whole adult life. I routinely go to sleep about 10 pm, and not unusual for me to be up at 4. Maybe I should start rising at 4:20. I love vaping in the morning, working on computer, sipping coffee - only way to start the day. Lately I've been putting a loaded AA or Mighty on my night stand at bedtime, just in case I need a few hits before bed, 90 percent of the time I'm sleepy just knowing it's there.

Hello.everybody. long time no see. Please forgive me.

I have been having quite a few first 4:20 sessions lately. With the pretty heavy breakthrough pain cycle going on right now. It is what it is. Very happy to have everybody here especially some of my closer friends for support these days. Love you all. Really enjoying my new 710 whip.

My best explanation for my absence is that I've been beta testing the Zion unit as well as working as much as I possibly can in my new silversmithing studio.

I was here in spirit... I was doing a mini torch dab in the dark living room.

Be sure to keep a handy backup to the 710 whip. Just sayin'.

Up before 3, awake until almost 5am, coughing, wheezing, sweating, freezing... aches OMFGZ the aches.

Had kind thoughts towards you, and anyone else up at that time...
