sweet I just sumbitted a ticket so hopefully I can get it fixed and start using her again I burnt up one of my KISS carts so im kinda down until I fix my hercules
I don't think W9 recommends it but you can use the herc without the bottom adapter you just cant use the heatshield.
And I would take it easy.

Hi, I've just started checking out this thread and vape. I've got to be honest and say I find it all a bit confusing. So I probably should have checked here first before buying this on ebay. Anyway, if anyone could tell me what I've bought and what bits I would need to get to make it work with herb I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks. (It hasn't arrived yet so no other info on it.)

i personally would n buy this.

i would save/spend a little more to get the current 8

it will take both up tech 601 threads AND 510 threads.

you add fresh batteries and your own atty.

the core/hercules combo seems like it gives the best performance.

good luck, mine are version1.

Thanks for the advice. I already did buy it but it was only about $40 so not too worried. Is the Core/ Hercules combo giving best performance with flowers?

If you want to vaporize herbs with insane flavor at home the Bender + Core is the ticket for you
Ok, I'm thinking you are probably right and it does look like a great setup. I could only find one UK supplier of he bender and they're out of stock.

I was wondering if anyone else was successfully doing something like this? Is it bad or overly difficult (other than being 2 parts) compared to the nibbler xl? Other than 2 incidents it’s worked really well for me. The first time I tried it I flooded my mp with wax, I used it for a few days with no issues after that. Then sometime during the week of use I stopped checking and eventually noticed I had flooded the mp with wax again and haven’t tried it since then. The draw is awkward and I have trouble telling what’s too much or too little, wondering if the xl feels that way too. I mostly use my herc at home so I was hoping to just use this setup. One thing I notice is the heat shield gets really hot really fast where normally it would take a lot of laying on the button on a long session to get that hot. Does that happen using the xl? I was thinking switching to a 14mm adapter might cover less of the herc.

am i being TROLLED?

these delta9 persei's are still up for purchase.

where or whom should i ask question for this old stuff?

I'm not here to troll, I'm here to help.

A series circuit is one in which resistors are arranged in a 'chain', their ends are linked together one after another and the current has only one path to take. The current has to go through all these resistors to complete a circuit so you just add resistors to get a total circuit resistance.

In parallel circuits the resistors wired so that their input ends are connected together and the output ends are connected together. In parallel circuits the electrons can flow through any path. They will generally take the path of least resistance but with a lot of electrons and many paths some will go down each one. To calculate the resistance of a parallel circuit, the resistors must be divided. Where Rt is Resistance total and each Resistor is R the formula is

1/Rt = 1/R1+1/R2+1/R3 .... etc to infinity.

For your specific question 2 4Ω carts on a Double top which is wired in parallel

1/4Ω + 1/4Ω

.25 + .25 = .5

1/0.5=2Ω total circuit resistance.

However with parallel circuits where all resistors are identical there is a shortcut. Where N is the Number of resistors the formula is Rt=R/N. Two 4Ω carts on a double top, you divide the 4 ohm resistance per cart by 2 resistors to get 2Ω resistance for the circuit.

You should ask me those questions about old stuff. I bought 3 V1 Persei kits long after they were out of production just to get my hands on old stuff and still have two working double tops. I really like 2.4Ω carts on the double top with an SS kit+ AW 18650. I might try a box of 3.0Ω carts next.

I have been using my Persei kiss globe cart with my short LSV transfer wand instead of the globe. Seems like my shatter was bubbling to much and getting all over the globe and in my mouth. So far seems to be working really well except I'm not sure how tight to screw in the cart I get it snug but seems like every hit it will wobble and I have to tighten allitle bit again. How tight do you guys tighten your carts I don't want to break anything is there anyway to fix this ?

The nibbler is easy to use. Hit it as hard or as slow as you'd like. As far as the heat shield getting hot, it's hard to tell because it's ensconced by the nibbler. Only drawbacks to the nibbler are:
1) unlike every other W9 thing you buy, no nifty case for the nibbler. Comes wrapped in bubble wrap. Mine is stored in a Tito's vodka bag. :(
2) makes the Persei even more top heavy. Doesn't matter much though because the Hercules is supposed to be stored on its side.
3) not too portable, at least not for most. I do take it with me on the go though like Sam, but I'm really good with not breaking glass. (*knocks on wood*)

It's really well designed. Second favorite accessory next to the Hercules.

This was my go to method before I discovered dabbing. Watch my video, you will notice that I lift the adaptor off of the KISS to control the draw and get more airflow. Leave off the plastic mouthpiece. Also try pulsing the button not constant pressure. The cart in my vid is rebuilt and runs a bit hot.
Shit I just noticed you're using the Herc. Different vid. Sorry about the SloMo. Similar technique. Pulse button. Control airflow with the adaptor on the Herc.
Edit: then again I also have a Nibbler xL

hey i was wondering if its normal for the core to buzz last night while using the herc it was buzzing or humming quietly while plugged in but would stop while i was pressing the button on my persei

Mine buzzes in the same fashion as well. Only when button is not pressed.

My v4 top makes a slightly quieter version of the same buzz when you press the button :p It's like a beehive in here

just came up on one year using the 3.7v herc rod almost daily. do the herc rods have a life span? do they begin to degrade in anyway?

mine also has been used multiple times daily for well over a year. Every so often, i take the rod out and torch it to glowing. it still seems pristine, no apparent pitting or degradation.

@BradEllis if you like your Herc, then just wait for the NXL. It really does work great.
i'm not much of a fan of the Kiss type coil set-up. The globe seemed to work a bit better, but the whole 'load as you go' thing just isn't for me.

Yeah I'm sticking with the herc I like loading a gram or more and not have to mess with it for a week

After a ton of usage I finally had my kiss mini leak on me. Just a tiny bit from the bottom hole. I'd been abusing it and putting it away hot though. I'd advise a little cooldown if it's really heating up.

Definitely got some leakage on kiss mini abusing it on the ski lifts, over packing, and careless melting it in to the ceramic. Pulled a whole bb of wax in my mouth being careless today. Not complaining, just reporting. I did put the bb back and vape it

Screw it, I've been waffling on whether or not to order nibblers for months but the stars aligned and both the ones I wanted were in stock at once so I just ordered a Nibbler XL and G. Thanks dude, but more importantly thanks christmas bonus.
