Awesome to hear about the torus. how about one of those klein prototypes like on first page. Those were looking good!

I assume one of those chinese glass blowers has the klein design figured out cause thick ass glass has one and the rest of their rigs look the same as the DHgate sellers

Why would you wait? I assume that everyone just goes into a queue and it is first in first out. I ordered mine during CNY and did not see any logic in waiting if I knew I wanted it.

Know these bubbs are super cheap, but would rather have money to spend than have it tied up in China if nothing is moving forward. A month or so is long enough wait from purchase to use for me.

Also.. could be wrong - who knows how these guys work out their orders - but doesn't seem the queue works like we're used to in Western World. First in is doesn't necessarily seem to mean first out. I was one of the later orders for the initial FC-187, but got mine a couple weeks before others who said they ordered before me.

You bring up a good point. I just assumed they worked on these in the order they are getting them. If they don't do that then they should. I'd say leave some negative feedback (4 star maybe instead of 5) but since you got yours sooner that would not make any sense

I don't sweat the little shit like whether I'm first in or first out. As long as it gets here and isn't broken, I'm good. Even with a crappy perc or whatever. Sometimes stuff is here in less than two weeks, sometimes 6 weeks. It's all part of the Chinese glass experience IMO.

I'd feel a good bit differently if I was paying 10x and more as much on ALT or somewhere like that. Including dupes and gifts, I think I've bought about 10 pieces in the past year and a half or so. In total, they cost only a little more than my Ben Wilson triple donut that I got used! Don't get me wrong.... still love that piece and have been using it a good bit lately, but cheap is good too! Just don't assume or expect things to go like they would if you were spending a good bit more. To do so seems to lead to headaches and frustration as much as anything else. On occasion, you can have your cake and eat it too - but that's pretty rare.

I ordered pieces from CCG and steven's 710 on feb 10th, and got all my glass in last week... i almost feel bad.

@gigaurora what kind of delay did you have between "Despatch from Sorting Center" (CHENGDU) and either any tracking after that or just when it was delivered? I'm east coast, so I'm guessing it will take longer for me than WC peeps. I ordered on the 4th though

It varies from person to person and each order. I had one of my packages stuck in Chicago for 2 weeks because for whatever reason they just kept resorting it. I think its just luck on if your package has problems or if it's a smooth sailing

I ordered before you did and mine hasnt updated either. I dont know how much longer Im going to wait before I contact the seller. While Im pretty sure the stuff will show up, Ive had this happen before and the package never arrive.

Is there an idea of when Steven's stereo matrix is going to be available? I LOVE the clean look of the pre-order model he has posted.

EDIT: Also have an FC-710 supposedly being shipped out tomorrow! I accidentally chose EMS instead of ePacket when ordering and told Steven I had to cancel the first to change it. He said to make sure to do it quickly because his factory was shipping very soon, which I'm guessing will be the first Monday after CNY. Can't wait to get this thing!

Where can I get these mini pillars, and how much? Is it the fc-711?

Who sells them? I've wanted a real Möbius matrix since I saw it. Got that. The only glass left on my bucket list is a peyote pillar, and I think the size of that one is better than the $$$$$$$ soverinty glass.

This review is pretty unnecessary since it's been reviewed and raved to death, but all raving is much deserved. I've yet to find a piece with as little drag and flavour loss to the perfect amount of diffusion like this piece. and that little click of the ball is very soothing, like a mother's heartbeat.
Summary:
Thickness: enough not to worry about it, seems 5m around.
joint: perfect, no issue
drag: like none. Mouth piece has a wide tube, the simply pathing of the "perc" means its pretty much like breathing.
flavour: least flavour loss i've ever had.

I'm actually really fucking impressed with this piece. It's function is perfect. The bottom perc has full 360 spread. The inner vortex is really tight, vortexing within a second of starting to drag. For it's price, a really cool party piece that gets the ooo's and awww's, but cheap enough that you don't mind the risk of breaking it with people around.

Summary:
Thickness: thinner then the 710, but not thin enough to be an issue. enough to survive mild tips, and get it to the level where if the impact will break this bong, it'd probably break anything other then a thick 7 or 9m.
joint: perfect, no issue
drag: much more drag then you'd like. The pathing tubes have a narrow diameter, plus it being an in cycler, gets some serious drag. Not enough that you'd be mad, but when comparing it to the 710 its hard not to notice
flavour: some flavour loss, but not completely
diffusion: phenomenal diffusion. This is one of the pieces where ( i run an EVO) you set up an elb and basically just keep hitting until no more vapour comes out it hits so smooth. like breathing mountain air.

A+ on both pieces, seriously should be added to all dhgate addict wish lists.

I've just read that ePacket is the best shipping option out of China now. I don't think EMS will cause too much of a difference. I just ordered my previous pieces with ePacket and wanted to stick with it.

Looks like mine went out epacket. I guess I got lucky since I was not paying any attention.

I know there was interest in hookahs before, this design seems both cool and simple and probably not too hard for Steven to copy. This one with the claisen you could take tabs with your shisha hits without having to mix it in directly.

I specifically ordered mine with EMS shipping and they shipped it ePacket anyway.

I got a reply from Steven this morning about my piece that hasnt updated in a month. He claims the NY snowstorms is whats slowed down his stuff. My only problem with that is my Dcycler that was ordered two weeks after his came through New York without any kind of delay at all. I dont really understand why his stuff seems to be taking so long to update. Ive never had a piece take this long and actually show up.

Sorry to ramble.. after being burned by Kathy, I start to get nervous when it appears nothing is happening.

I ordered on 2/14, tracking showed nothing until this morning. Today it shows up stateside. Probably another 2 days and mine should arrive. I am holding out hope for you poop.

Made two orders from CCG and Steven on 2/2/15 and nothing has updated since it was dispatched from China on 2/7/15. Should i be a little worried?

I ordered 14 days before you did and mine still hasnt moved. Maybe tomorrow... I dont mind waiting but once it pops in the US, it usually takes 10 more days to get to me. This is going to put me at right at 5-6 weeks. Ive NEVER had this kind of delay dealing with anything from China.

Hey guys Steven has a new Torus prototype done and has almost worked out all the kinks.
He has improved the perc but this one they forgot the holes at the top of the funnel. All he needs to do is add the holes and it should be good. Everyone cross your fingers that the next one is on point.

Edit: also I'm feeling bad for you @PoopMachine and really hope that your glass shows up soon and safe. Perhaps ask Steven for a discount on future orders to make up for your lengthy wait

Yeah it looks like the holes will complete the package. The return vortex is on point.

I'm really looking forward to this piece. @blankrider Is there any news on the UFO piece?

@NickDlow I am waiting for a second ufo prototype to be produced. The first one was made with a 65mm can which is the same as the 187 can. I told him for the second one to increase the can size to 75mm and also make a longer neck.



I provided my best description and pictures for him to make the hookah hose attachment so hopefully he understands and is able to make it as well
