I would have listened also but no worries the 2014 is great , your not missing much and to be honest my 2014 works so well i wouldn't trade it up for a 2015 even if it was a free swap. That's how happy i am with my Air.

Hahah, definitely makes me feel better

How can I really tell apart the low battery models from the 3-step indicator models? I haven't really played around with it because I'm hoping they'll refund/exchange it.

Please dont let the "battery indicator" on the Air become the new "Solo serial number". Seriously, Dont worry about the indicator. We were all jealous at first but after a few sessions..we got over it. My buddy @Justpassedu is right, you're not missing much.

It's not a big deal, it's just that I asked the company twice and two different reps confirmed they sell the newer one. I just feel like I got jipped.

I received my Titanium Air from PIU yesterday (all hail Randy ) but couldn't use it until today.

I have a black one from the original BF sale by Arizer and there are some differences, most of which have been mentioned already.
This one came with the longer mouthpiece stem and a shorty solo type stem. The gasket hole in the mouthpiece stem seems to be bigger. The most significant thing seems to be some temperature differences. I've only done a little experimenting so far but the Ti seems to run a little hotter at each stage.

I too just got a second one from Randy, another black one but the current version. Too early to say about temperatures, but I did notice a change nobody else has reported AFAIK: It has a six digit (actually 5 and a letter) number engraved on the bottom of the frame, under the battery cap, apparently unrelated to the serial number........

If it has the battery indicator that makes it the newer version??

My serial number starts with A111A, on the inside of the battery cap it says "RoHS"... When i first turn it on and when i first plug it in the first color light that flashes varies, im guessing depending on the battery level... But i havent paid much attention to it really.

Got my air this afternoon from planetvape! Didn't come with the xtra battery as promised in the post, so I messaged them. Still waiting on a 14mm gong and some other attachments. It came with one black tipped attachment and one slightly longer and bigger bowled attachment.

Also, of course it came with a bag of Cheetos PUFFS!

Currently have a PNP which I love dearly and has treated my really well. Will be interesting to see the differences! Can't wait to get gong to try with galdalf pipe and pinnacle hydro tube!

I've decided to keep mine, indicator or no indicator.

It was just too hard to have this beauty sit right next to me and not be able to use it.

EDIT: I think I have the newer unit. After reading some more, I'm almost certain I have a battery indicator. I feel like an idiot now. I sent the retailer a message asking for exchange/refund already:|

I need to read more and talk less LOL :bang:

Here's what I've noticed on mine:

When I first turned it on, there was a quick flash. I couldn't really tell the colour but it was somewhere between blue and green. Then there was a red colour for about a second. Finally, the temp setting colour shows up.

After charging it for a bit and turning it on again, I saw a yellow/orange colour instead of red.

I'm waiting for a full charge to complete. I'm guessing it will show green this time.

I also messaged Arizer about the stems. They told me they're constantly working with retailers to figure out what thier customer base wants so some packages might have one mouth piece stem and one straight stem whereas some will have two mouthpiece stems.

Sounds like battery level version to me

Quick flash then green/full then i think yellow then white then red/needs charge (might get another hit)

I think thats the order but have usually used it a few times and loose track lol

I have a six digit marker too, but mine is number/letter/number/letter/number/letter

Interested in what you think of the temps. Seems like according to the version specs there was more even temperature spacing at each stage with the BF (Black Friday) version. With the Ti there is a bigger jump from white to green.

The one I just got seems to be green followed by white followed by 'orange' (green and red) followed by red. I think. This is based on one test series. I plan to run another one more carefully (the voltage steps I got weren't all that uniform, I think it needs to be without hitting to be consistent. But I'm pretty sure it's green, white, orange, red. In terms of heat steps for Air that's 3, 2, 4, 5?

Just looked back and my BF version had a listed temp range of:
Level 1 (Blue) - 185°C / 365°F
Level 2 (White) - 195°C / 383°F
Level 3 (Green) - 200°C / 392°F
Level 4 (Orange) - 205°C / 401°F
Level 5 (Red) - 210°C / 410°F

While my new Ti is:
Level 1 (Blue) - 180°C / 356°F
Level 2 (White) - 190°C / 374°F
Level 3 (Green) - 200°C / 392°F
Level 4 (Orange) - 205°C / 401°F
Level 5 (Red) - 210°C / 410°F

On the Ti the charge indicator is Green (full), Orange (partial), Red (recharge).

Can you use the full range with the Ti model? You get good vapor on all levels? I might have to sell my silver and get titanium because I love to start low and vaporstep. On solo (pre-charge while on model) I used to start at 3 and go up all the way through 7. Which do you prefer and do you vaporstep or whats your usual usage?

EDIT: Oh yeah forgot to ask, would it be a pain to get a pic of the titanium model? I cant find any real life pictures

Interesting they claim five degrees C cooler on the first two levels, but the same on the levels you think are a bit hotter? Good news for the low temp lovers amongst us. Good find.

I agree with you on the colors but thing there's another step between green and orange. Given the coarse number it's easy to miss one all together I think. I'm not sure it's as useful as the same 'meter' on Solo is. There, I think, the steps are easy to read and use to plan your usage. Time will tell.

If I'm not mistaken all the newer models, even black and silver have those cooler heat settings. I think mine does, I have the model with the battery indicator.

this happened to me as well, i also received mine today with no spare battery. It's unfortunate but customer service is not honoring the original coupon code. this is their response.
"Thanks for your inquiry, we like your sense of humor lol. The code you used does not include an extra battery and is not advertised as such nor is it listed on your sales order invoice. Very sorry, our codes change frequently and each code includes different discounts / bonus items. Please check the source from where you got the code for more details."

I emailed them again referencing my particular dilemma (I was waiting for the black version to come back in stock) and also their post on these forums. my side ending with "promotion changed from what it had previously said in a post on the fuckcombustion site."

"Yes and the actual code word changed as well to try and avoid any confusion as we ran out of batteries. Sorry for any confusion." -PVsupport

tldr: shit outta luck i guess, kinda disapointing

EDIT: If your in the US I just realized, 1 battery is actually less from puffitup. Did you pay $150? While disappointing, know you got a great deal.

Im disappointed i dont have my straight turbo stem yet. Apparently its been sitting at customs for over a week. Not that PV controls customs or anything.

Id like to get to try these high efficiency stems out before my Air has to take a short vacation from use...

Im getting some teeth pulled in a couple weeks. Oral surgeon said no sucking and no smoking afterwards for 3-5 days or risk a very painful dry socket... Well there goes using the Air... I was concerned a little at first because i dont take pain pills (dont take any pills really) and cannabis is the only pain killer i use....

But i ordered a CPR pocket resuscitator mask for like 7 bucks, hooked the Arizer Extreme Q whip directly into the CPR mask. Fan setting at 3..... Now i can just sit and breath hands free while my mouth heals.... As easy as it is and as good as it works i may not even miss the Air.... Maybe.

Wonder if the variations on levels 1,2 are exclusively for the "Ti" colored one, or were they tweaked across the board; meaning, the black and white ones, as well?

Lowering the two lower levels was a good move. Nize tweaks.

Not intending to imply that the Titanium was different than other new models. Just referring to it in relation to my first on from Black Friday sale (BF). I think its just an additional color choice.

I'm more of a flavor seeker so I stay at the lower temps on either model. When the material is near exhaustion I sometimes boost the temp to squeeze out those last CBD hits.

Only cell phone for pics, but the one on the Arizer website is pretty good. Seems to look different in different lighting....right now it has more of a gun metal grey color in this light. But in daylight it more reddish brown...sorta....kinda....whatever it is it looks fine to me.

So glad I bought this product. This little thing is incredible. A 0.1 just keeps going and going. And the taste! WOW! No regrets whatsoever. Now to get some PVHES and spare batteries.

I agree, its amazing how one stem can last 2 full sessions!!

PV's website seems to be down right now?? Or maybe its just on my end

OR MAYBE.... They are updating it and adding the vortex stems back in stock.....

Hmm thanks man i may just have to do that. If they allowed such an option id have no problemos with them whatsoever. Too baked rn tho lol....

on the supporter page they told you to contact them through their website? Did you end up doin that?

About pv and their price..Maybe they're just more chilled out in the northern climates. lol. I do like when there's choices tho. But if i still get the free battery that would be dope and hence why im waiting.

I was in touch via e-mail and phone. They were VERY helpful.

Planet Vape sells the Air for $224.97

Apparently all authorized retailers are supposed to sell them for $259.99

Is this a PV discount? How can they get away with the lower price?

This isn't a shot at PV, I know they're WELL trusted and authorized. Just curious.

I like PlanetVape.ca as much as the next guy (prob more than most), but Planetvape has a HUGE market with aftermarket accessories (PVHES stems and GonG's).

If they only make a small (or even no) profit on each unit, they figure out that they will make it back by selling accessories.

I myself must have spent about $750 in the last two years (f-bomb x2, lots of bent, straight and turbo stems GonGs, replacment of Solo Battery) that I have had my solo
