How do you know how much more could have been vaporized on the same charge?
We can see it can do AT LEAST 5 half chambers.
Some folks will never be satisfied no matter what. :2c:
I was just thinking this in the Enano thread

You're not seriously defending that 'evidence' proving the original claims are you? Actually I think at this point, under this pressure, if they could have shown more they would have.

As I said, you'll no doubt be able to find some guys for which very little is plenty for them, but IMO this guy is not going to be the vape the obsoletes what they now use for most. Much as those claims would be wonderful to behold, let alone own for so modest a price.

I get it that some are upset with 'I smell a rat' kinds of conjecture, but OTOH I find it fun to see so many defending a vape that doesn't exist for all we know. Soon, I'm sure we all hope, details will be more clear. For now I feel bad for good folks that 'bought into' this expecting more than seems likely to happen.

I may well end up buying one once the facts are out, but until then still sitting on my wallet.

No. I'm way past that. I've moved on to accept the progressive reality as it exists without harping on water under the bridge. Serves little purpose at this point I think. What will be will be.

I think the original battery claims are moot at this point. No one shpuld be bothering to defend them or considering them real anymore, and I dont think anyone is. Good to see that even with the full deep draw machine can do that many chambers, since that's the most taxing on the battery when you draw enough to kill a bowl on one hit (like they seemed to say in one of the questions posted here).

They should run that same test, but sticking to one temp, to get a real idea of battey life, and run a whole batterys worth for each of the temps like 170c-175c-180c-185c-190c-195c-200c-205c-210c, so then we'd get a better idea of real world useage (though many of us will sip on it more, but this will be a scientific way to show us battery life at least). This was the avb video, they still need a battery video.

Since it seems like those first two settings are extremely low temps, just like decarbing the herb it seems? More for other herbs perhaps, and why in first video she got no real clouds until mid temp, which is still really low actually... Most real useage would span the tick marks 3 to 5, 338F to 410F, I imagine. Though I know i will certainly be trying out the effects on the lower temps too, could be really fun if they have heady effects even that low, and really good for battery life.

Loved today's update. Couldn't be happier with what I've been seeing. When I originally contributed, I wanted a portable convection vape with as close to on demand vapor as possible, and this seems to be exactly that.

I e-mailed Trevor to get an idea as to when I could expect my hopper, and I was told late March. I contributed the first week of the campaign, November 22nd, in case anybody else has been wondering when to expect theirs.

Haven't been this excited for a vape since the EVO!

Fair enough, but I actually find it interesting that some are fixated on demonizing a vape that doesn't exist for all we know.

I actually liked what I saw in the video. The ABV shots were clear and looked uniformly browned. IMO, perhaps stirring won't be necessary. I'm looking forward to receiving my Hopper more now than ever. Will it be a perfect vape for everyone? Probably not. However, I think most will likely be very satisfied with the performance of such a stealthy vape. Only time will tell, but at this juncture I certainly don't feel I've been bamboozled by the Grasshopper team....

Interesting perspective.

I tend to see it more in lines of a technical discussion of the performance claims, but can appreciate that view.

That is not demonizing but rather questioning the claims, and offering evidence to support it. Already, those claims have radically changed I think? It's no longer defying the laws of physics it seems which yes, does make me feel better.

Thanks.

I haven't been paying attention I just assumed they were still releasing it. Well that kinda blows I just wanted to used my concentrates on the go? Oh well I'll settle for flowers for now hopefully they figure it out or refund my $40 bucks.

There is no evidence that they aren't releasing it, but since they haven't mentioned anything about it, it's probably a safe bet that if they do, it won't be right away.

Hey Everyone,

March is here, and it’s going to be a big month for us. More videos and shipping will be taking place. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been working nonstop on assembly, jig refinement, and shipping coordination from our manufacturers. We’re happy to have finished the Grasshopper to our satisfaction, and are excited to be pushing forward to get them out.

The requests for content showing the Grasshopper’s features keep growing, and we’ve been making a big effort to get more videos out to you. This week, we’re showing Herbs after they’ve been vaporized at a range of Grasshopper temperature settings. For this video, we vaporized one chamber of herbs at each of the five tick marks. But remember, you can adjust the temperature to anywhere in between the marks as well!

Here is the image captured of the ABV.

More videos, including the anticipated review, are coming soon.

The very first units went out last week, and a lot more are on their way. Workers are starting to return from the Chinese New Year, and we’ve arranged travel to oversee the large batch production. This extra measure of being on-site will ensure that the large batches resemble the small ones we’ve received. We are confident that progresses will continue smoothly.Check back on March 15th for our next update.

Hmm anyone get shipment confirmation yet? Early backers, Holiday Gift, testers?

I was like the 40 something person to purchase it...wondering who got shipped one since it said the first batch went out.
I would think you would be in the first batch with such a low order number? But I don't know how "small" a batch is.

I think this video addresses the concerns of the previous discussion regarding the extent of battery life and the number of bowls loaded. Although it was sped up, I don't think that the GH ever started blinking to indicate low battery. Looks good to me. Hopefully they are listening in on our conversation here on FC. I just wanna hear some news about the front end oil cart. It would blow everyone's expectations away if it's capable of doing both oils + flowers at the same time.

Wait. I thought that just some of the parts were made in China. This leads me to understand that the whole vaporizer is being manufactured in China. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as QC is done here in the states as well as close oversight by the GH team here. Now I may be reading this all wrong, but this did provide a bit of a surprise.

On the other hand, this is pulled directly from GH's site: "Grasshopper will be 100% hand assembled at our own facility in the USA.", so now I'm a bit confused.

I think they make all or most of the parts in China, like 99% of the companies out there. They say they are traveling to the factories to make sure the big production run is up to spec, so that sounds good.

The video confirms what @OF and some people like me are saying, 5 half bowls and the fact that the first bowl was on high and all the following bowls with lower temps tells the end consumer who looks at things technically like some of us here that it's not going to be a session vape at all.

Just something to consider.

Wouldn't you want to show off the vapor of a full bowl and the fact it can do 5 full bowls on high setting?
