Herb Grinders

I have a Diamond Grind and enjoy it very much. 18.95 shipped on ebay for 2 piece.
Pretty good deal.

My nomination for best buy in a 2 piece- Titan 56mm . It's not glitzy, but the flat black anodizing holds up great, and I haven't run across anything comparable for $13 delivered.

I've also been enjoying the small (2") 2 piece Space Case. A worthy buy under $20 (eBay or a dealer sale).

The name of the diamond grinder looks to be appropriate,
as is the name of the santa cruz shredder.
Meaning that herb looks ground.
I prefer a shred myself:

It's all in the shape of the teeth :2c:

Diamond-shaped teeth will not shred.

Just ordered a 2.2" SharpStone 4 piece (definitely not a knockoff as I ordered directly from their website). Found a 20% off discount code so I got it for $24 (plus $2.50 shipping). Not a bad price in my book! I will post a review once I get it and am able to test it.

As far as function what's the top 3 grinders? I don't care about brands or price.
As far as function (in a 4 piece) I've been using a Sharp Crusher for years that I got for $15. It has the offset 4 point tooth design pioneered by MixnBall, which grinds better than the typical diamond shape (Space Case) and doesn't bind up like the squared off Santa Cruz design when using the small size Mini.

I don't see any problem buying the high priced brands like SC and SCS in a smaller 2 piece, as long as you can get a sale price that puts it at or under about $20, but function is where the cheaper 4 pc. designs are just as good (just avoid the gimmicky clear top and crank models), and a lot more affordable. I've bought (and would buy again) Chromium Crusher, Sharp Crusher, and SharpStone, all available on eBay at good prices. I have noticed that Chromium and Sharp Crusher models on eBay have both the diamond and offset tooth designs. I'd definitely choose the offset.

Just curious who here owns and likes the crank models of 4 piece grinders such as SharpStone crank? I used to own a crank grinder from TorontoVaporizer which I ended up selling but it was the best grinder i've ever used for a fairly coarse grind...one that would work perfecty with my LSV. I was thinking about getting the Sharpstone since they are quality, but just wanted to throw it out there first as they are $40.

My friend owns a diamond grinder along with a space case, and santa cruz shredder. He prefers the diamond. I cannot attest to the legitimacy of his sc and scs as it was purchased on ebay most likely, but his basic disregard of them has led me to looking towards a possible mendo mulcher alternative or compton grinder. Originally i was looking towards spending far less but due to reports of shotty anodized finishes leaving flakes, i have opted for peace of mind.

What im asking since ive been using a cheap grinder and know they can indeed be just fine, (just need a larger one and a better grind wouldnt hurt?) is it really just a false sense of security or am i right in doing so? Im looking towards buying an arizer air and will be fairly short on cash for the time being, so is it worth saving up?

Alternatively (or fearfully, in companion with a new grinder) ive been interested in the magic flights finishing grinder however , due to the size and that im not sure if it would work well for the arizer air(scooby snacks if its too fine?) but would believe it to, im hesitant to purchase. It did seem good for the price on massdrop... dont know about how much now.. just wish it was 3 piece and that i wouldnt have to shred it by hand first (apparently) or use another grinder. Also would hope that a grinder such as the mendo would create a compairably fine grind especially when turned upside down.

Has anyone had any experience compairing the mendo, compton, and/or the mflb finishing grinders?
ive seen vape critics videos and he has a prob with mendos, but tbh it seemed to me to be a lil biased and unecessary especially since the Mendo seems to be cheaper and have more teeth for what would seem like a finer grind.

I guess the best would be if i could get away with hand shredding nugs to like a pinky nail size amount and using the mflb. But damn if that loading bay for the compton and the extra teeth for the mendo not to mention the kief catcher didnt make things even harder to choose.

TLDR: mendo mulcher or compton grinder? or cheaper? or can i just buy an mflb finishing grinder and be happy and not have to buy another pregrinder grinder. (How small do the pieces have to be to work in the mflb?)

and even your opinion on if the finishing grinders worth it (read alot but the ones ive found mostly theyre for certain vapes (conduction) or tbh seem like they dont have alot of background knowledge.)

You don't need a fine grind in the Arizer Air and if you are using it without a screen you definitely don't want to grind too fine. A fine grind will mean that the vapour is released faster but the downsides are that the flavour will not last as long and your screen (if you use one) will clog faster.

....or opinions on what 4 piece produces the coarsest uniform fluffy grind? I'm not looking for anything anodized.
