I'm on unit number three so have a good idea what is proper and what isn't, functioning wise.

If temp lights never stops blinking, regardless of color, it's defective. If no cloud production after about the third draw, and I'm talking right after light turns solid, especially on Pink and hotter, it's defective. If you find you have to wait significantly after temp light turns solid before it seems like it will produce vapor, it's defective. If you have to jiggle and wiggle to get the battery to charge on charging base, either battery contacts need to be cleaned or you have a battery/charging base that's defective. No voodoo magic is required for a unit to function properly. If your under warranty, don't hesitate or wait to have it replaced.

A properly functioning unit, my number three TcMV at the moment is such a unit, performs amazingly. By my second draw hit on Pink it's making clouds. For the most part, that's what it should be like if it's working correctly. Don't settle for less.

Agreed with the others, you should know if your unit is faulty or not, if it's working correctly it'll run smoothly and produce decent flavour and clouds on all settings, if it's not doing this then there's something wrong, the only other thing that could have an influence is the quality of your herb.

I will send them an email to get this return policy going. I agree with smknbud and Sid, it should work on every light, and if I can't get red off a fresh battery, there is a problem. Is the shipping/return policy simple? Time to email and see their response.

Yea man red is insane. I use Herbie whip on red. Large basket, then a mini basket an kod punched to sleep. I am gonna try blue temp. By way when I got mine I got tiny clouds but I have to smush the flexi cone in so it creates better seal. Now getting huge clouds

I also have a puck the power adapter works great an have a battery too.

I am getting dense medium clouds on pink

Has anyone else had this heater problem? Is it a well known issue? Is it worth getting another and hoping for the best? I'm for getting my money back if I can, frankly.
If you read through the last few months of posts, you'll see it's a known issue that a number of people have experienced. You should be able to exchange it for another one no problem.

I am having a problem getting to solid red as well. Otherwise my unit performs well.

The problem for me is I was already without my MV for a long time with my last warranty issue and I don't want to be without for that long again.

Going to give it some more testing before I decide.....

My mv also got the dreaded Blinky Mcblinkerson syndrome today. Will send back to VF tomorrow and should have one back Thurs/Fri.
Third Mv.. Still one whole years warranty so meh.. I may go the route of getting it replaced with the GcMV from VF and pick up just the core in TcMV as the single unit option from Hermes.
Shit happens.. Things break.. Even expensive things like ferrari auto mobiles.

This is a new issue I have not yet heard of.
After getting my replacement back I don't remember this happening in my first few sessions. However lately it just seems I can never get to solid red. Maybe I'm just being too impatient which is why I commented it requires more testing. I will report back.

in fact I do believe...

this did come up a few times by different members, but as far as I remember those blinky lights were all due to impatience...yes it can take forever (or so it seems) sometimes, but in the end all will be good ;)

Baking takes time my friends :)

Ok this is wierd.....

Wanted to do some further testing in my temp settings.

First to check on my red setting. From cold I started the unit and went straight to red. It blinked for 10 minutes and finally went solid red. Well the point of this exercise was to see if it could get there. Now that I know it can I wanted to bump it back down to blue which is where I usually start. So I did just that....

Bumped it down and it blinked blue for a few seconds and went solid. Took a few draws dry and then reached for my PWT and MV GonG. I like using this setup sometimes because it preserves taste and swaps out easy from the normal mouthpiece.

Check it out....

Anyway, here is the weird part. I went to bump the temps up and the MV was locked. The + button did nothing. The only way to get out of this was to remove the battery.

Other than the temperature regulation it seems to be working fine. I will keep testing.

On the newest firmware you get very short blinks (the light goes off for a very short time instead of half time on half time off) when then mv adjusts power output (or something like that) so with red i also get some very short blinks because it's the most demanding setting.

There is two types of blink, one short and one long, the long blink means it's not heated up, the second doesn't mean it's not ready. If you get biggest clouds on red there is no problem. How long since you got the mv ?

Yes but this was like 15-20 minutes into my session of temp stepping coming off a solid green. You would think it would only take a couple minutes to get to red from green?? Does battery level have a big impact on this?

I am getting nothing but half and half blinks so it appears I may have old firmware. I think I have had it back about 4-5 weeks but it came from VN right before they got all their glass cores in so who knows how long they had it.

It seems to be blowing good clouds and medicating fine so for now I'll just keep testing.

Almost there...
My impatience....I get a solid red...it just took awhile. I had an awesome session on red. Starting from flavor to monster clouds, I'm getting to know a new side of the minivap...and it is my favorite side.

Yeah Man!!!
That red gives you a new meaning to medicated... A really good side!
If my back is acting up, the MV on red with a WT is a rapid cure all!!
My bed better be close by as well...

How the hell did you get this work ? :)

My GCmV core is finally arrived including the 14mm adapter.
Thought I try to put the glass into the plastic but it seems to be the same size, maybe I do have a different one!
Now i can use it only with whips.

Btw, I`m really impressed from the first bowl with the new GCmV today, its a cloud monster.
Need more testing time but for now love the new member in my Vapesenal.
I have to change my strategy compared to the old TCmV, how RogerD sayed before.
Slow short draws (2-3 sec) seems to work perfect for dryvaping, also taste wise.
Medication is very good, maybe better then with the TC, not sure now.

Dry Vaping with all glass airpath, directly attached over the lid with some shorter 18.8mm chillum from my Weedstar lill bud red-line WT (only this one seems to fit with the lid) and Herborizer mouthpiece, here you can see how the Hulkglass setup looks like:

At4MRTH.jpg

Blue - not much clouds, too impatience. :)
Pink - produces huges clouds and taste awesome.
Green - even more clouds and taste.
Red - not tested so far, finished bowl on green.

AVB is a little darker compared with old tcmV...

The new Firmware works good for me, they make good updates with the handling.
Changing temp settings goes faster now.
There is no need to push long to get into the temp mode, only short is enough.
The Buttons stands out a little now and it feels more solid/stable for me.
If you connect the battery then it blinks ones and shutdown the unit afterwards,
you have to start the unit manually again.
This was a little funny, because it was like a nightmare to get issues with my old stuff,
after all i reconized to start the unit manually... :bang:

These are my thoughts, more soon... :)

...Been considering pulling the trigger on this one, given all the good reviews.

There's a few things I wanted to share, thought you guys might appreciate! ;)
I stumbled upon some juicy news during my research: Read on this months' issue of Soft Secrets that there were some novelties coming up, but wanted to confirm as well.
Since I had few questions of own, I decided to give them a call earlier on, and happened to have a nice chat with Jorge:

There will be new battery capacities available this year, one around 8h (or so they said on SoftS) and a smaller one for a more portable/stealthier approach, around 1h I guess.

There is ALSO something along the lines of a cooling device coming up, but can't elaborate too much on it, as it is still in development. Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise either :brow: ..Then again, wasn't told much & I didn't wannna push it, but it did sound nice indeed!!
