Uhh. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rofl:
Err. That is fucking hilarious. Smoke and sniff. Half the effects of vaping using 5x the weed.

Ridiculous as it might look, there are solid principles behind doing this. There's a lot of work going on out there to find a way to deliver the whole spectrum of terps, but this isn't the thread for that discussion.

I played email tag with Darid from domeless yesterday and im happy to say it was a super pleasant exchange.

I dont do phone conversations...

I thought I would at least drop some glass, enail and concentrate porn on here while I wait for my replacement heater.

i'm pretty much a fan of the genesis now as my daily driver. I wasn't at first, I even have a friend who hates them, but after using all my various nails on my main rig, you start to see which nails are leaving the most resin on your pieces, and which ones are getting the most out of things.....needless to say, I clean my rig much less and it seems whatever 'reclaim catching' magic the design claims to have has some truth to it, the main flaw with the design is that the temperature difference between the quartz insert and the surrounding titanium is massive, i mean, it's like a burnt dab vs a perfect dab if you miss the quartz, that also means you have to turn the heat up a bit more than you'd expect for a quartz nail, meanwhile if you turn it down so the titanium is cooler, the quartz won't be hot enough anymore, so there's that. I think there's room for improvement. the carb cap also has a tendency to get your dab material stuck to it when you put it on, since it sits so close to the bowl, really, all minor flaws, and at first they drove me away a bit, but, when you use it right....it's been nice....really nice....using the flat coil with mine....never got a chance to try the 20/16mm adapters...

You sucked me in on this one. I ordered the HD Genesis system and a 16mm e-nail adapter. Im anxious to see how it performs.

I hope you enjoy it! It's got it's flaws but i still love it. Here's a teaser of what I'm doing with it right now....you can also see my two custom carb caps for it...(one's also for the minigenesis in the background, that's my portable rig back there)

Graphing my dabs, lol...I wish I could say I was just doing it for fun but I've practically been learning calculus the past few days trying to learn how to calibrate PID's and get the temperature drop from a dab even smaller each time...

is this next gen enough? haha.

What flaws have you seen with the Genesis, which controller are you using, how are you sampling the temp data and what setting are you adjusting?

Thanks, and love the photos of your area!

Yea and have you tried flower with it? I see Happy Daddy has a video where they are vaping a chunk of weed in a Genesis.

I just dropped my vb bubbler that had my hive ceramic nail on top and sadness. It broke the threading or connection and the nail is no longer functioning. Since it is a brand new naiil, I saw $90 flushed down the drain.

Does anyone have recommendations of a Quartz or ceramic replacement that might be a lil cheaper? I'd prefer not to use ti. I have the 20mm coil heater setup to a v1.2 analog Dnail.

Thank you. I'm also looking at Quartz and came upon kingofquartz.com. American made Quartz. I have no hate for chinese nails (I am asian), but believe QC is a lil better in the states. And really dig that video on the homepage.

Farscraper: Do you recommend side carb or no slot? What is the difference? Thanks for your feedback.

I have a slotted nail, and if your using it with the dab cap as seen here
http://www.domeless.com/products/product-details/#cid=941817
it wont matter. the cap covers the slot mostly.

the slot is basically a built in carb but if your using some other carb cap and nog the dab cap it seems like you may wanna go the og style without the slot.

btw the dab cap is awesome! I just got to use mine a little bit so far and love it. you just leave the cap on top and dab through the hole in the cap.

I highly recommend it if you go ceramic nail.

Thanks farscraper,
Just purchased the ceramic enail with the cap you recommended. I am very excited to try this new carb cap idea (sounds great).

@farscaper Please let us know how it goes when you clean that dab cap!

The guy at domeless told me the slot/no slot just doesn't really make a difference.

I have the domeless.com dab cap, and both versions of the nail, the slotted and non-slotted and the cap completely covers the slot in the nail, so it does not make any difference. The slot will however make a difference if you are using the iDab glass carb cap.

See my previous post from the last page where I mentioned the flaws...And to answer the ohter question I was asked, I have not tried it with flower, it's been so long since I've even had any flower to be brutally honest. All dabs all the time for me these days...

I'm using a controller I built myself, the PID i'm using has a serial interface and I'm adjusting the various PID parameters. The PID I'm using has a functioning autotune, but, it's clear to me that now you can get more out of these things with manual calibration than you ever can with autotune. However, it's practically calculus - learning control loops, curves, corrections, etc....

You can see more about my controller here:
http://www.voltagekeeper.com/2015/02/22/vk-nail/

I'll probably start selling them in small quantities once I get this thing calibrated. I am not trying to compete with the dirt cheap $100-200 nail products with this though, I'm aiming at a higher-end segment of the market, not as expensive as dnail, but somewhere in between. I don't know anyone putting a circuit breaker on their units, nor using the PID i'm using, which is about the same size as the auber from the front, but has dual screens, serial computer interface, and costs 2x as much as well....I'm insistent upon full-size XLR and IEC power connectors as well.

TI yes... quartz you might want to heat it up a couple of times just to burn off anything weird. I dont know about ceramic.

Im jonesing for my Happy Daddy Genesis System to show up. Being able to vape plant in it is HUGE if it works right.

Hello FC! I recently went and ordered myself a gimido cheap unit for 110 this weekend, they had a killer feb sale. I had already decided that i wanted to go ceramic for my e-nail and after looking around on the web i could only find hive's super pricy nail (http://www.hiveceramics.com/hive-d-nail-adapter-16mm-coil/) and enhale's custom 2 piece ceramic nail (https://www.enhalenail.com/product/ceramic-female-nail-with-carb-cap/) . I went ahead and impulsively ordered from enhale but i couldn't find any reviews for their nail online, i was wondering what your thoughts on the nail were. I did have a brief look at domeless.com but after reading the bad review on the banger style i got scared and backed out.

It seems domeless.com nails are pretty popular in this thread. I just purchased and love the idea that a fellow fc member suggested is the carb cap, which is the most creative thing I've seen on a ceramic nail

Edit: the enhalenail looks nice and great price. Please let us know your experience with it.

I have heard people say you don't need to season quartz, but I definitely say you do. it will eventually develop a coating over time that won't come off with torching and scraping, but you can make it happen sooner if you burn off a bunch of BHO on it, lol...not that I recommend you waste good stuff on it though. I usually use crap bho for seasoning, and will admit i've probably wasted a gram of crappy bho to seasoning various nails....

only thing you don't really need to season much is ceramic....at least that's been my experience.

i thought your not suppose to season ceramic enails since its suppose to be the best tasting one and stuff.

yeah ceramic seems good out of the box usually, which is one nice thing about it. it does clean up pretty well too - although the first time I cleaned it I was being super-extra-cautious, I always worry about cracking ceramic more than I ever do my quartz, it always seemed so much more fragile.

My domeless.com with the new carb cap has shipped. I've been wanting to try that carb cap ever since he announced it months ago, and I have a feeling it may fit on some of my other nails too, I'll have to report back and compare it to my other enails when it gets here....It will be nice to have a second nail to use with my flat coil with either way.

Sure, il write about my experience here, i just heard back from the guy saying he is shipping it today and i should get tracking number this afternoon.

at the time of me ordering the enhale nail i did not even notice the domeless.com carb cap existed, neither did i know of the fc101 coupon that would have put both in my price range, i guess one issue is that i did not choice a flat coil, opting for my first coil to be a simple 16mm and it seems the most popular style of domeless.com nail is for the flat coil, as the barrel head seems like it doesn't disperse heat correctly as per the review on his site. I dont know haha, i just wish my enail would here already! at this rate im going to get my nail first! i dont want to be tempted to use it with my torch though!

yea since there was a review of the barrel ceramic nail not dispersing heat evenly, anyone use the 20mm barrel one? im waiting on domeless.com to have instock the quartz carb cap before i buy the barrel nail. they said 1-2 weeks back order ;( also which set up is better? the female or male adapter for the barrel enail? whats the point of the nail being side carb and non side carb. the review some guy put up on their site on the barrel coil said that the male adapter put too much heat stress on his drop down and it broke.....

has anyone tried to vape bubble hash/keif on the ceramic nail from domeless using a titanium screen ontop? im very interested since bubble hash oz cost 300-400. or would it be better just to enjoy bubble hash in a vaporizer. or just buy a cheap ceramic nail, heat it with a torch and drop dab with that?

I got the enhale ceramic nail and a replacement coil for my divine tribe enail. I checked the pinout on the coil and it is the same as divine tribes coil so I tried it out and it works great. It's nice to have both a 16mm and 20mm coil for my box.

The ceramic nail I don't use too much. It's ok for the price. The female bottom isn't perfectly round which causes it wobble a bit. Also it's 14/18 but the 14 size hole inside is way to big so it is super sloppy on a 14mm and didn't hold a good seal. I fortunately was able to make a 14mm female to 18mm male adapter from an old down stem that I scored snapped and sanded to perfection. This works but is still a little wobbly from the ceramic being cast uneven and also makes the nail too tall to use practically. that's why I don't use it too much.

Also the coil is a little loose around the ceramic so you might want to try to tweak it a bit tighter. Not too snug though, remember the coil will expand when heated and can break your nail. I haven't tweaked mine yet and so I have to set it at 800° on the ceramic nail to actually get vapor because the coil is loose and reducing heat transfer...

I did get a good price on the set though.. I can't complain. Shipping was pretty fast too for being free.
