fffffffffffffffffffff. broke my PVHE gong today just by inserting it. I swear my air is way tighter than my solo ever was. It's been almost 2 weeks and still has not loosened up. I do usually wait until it's heated up, but damn :(

I might just go with the regular gong this time though, I'm interested to see the difference.

PLEASE. Although im still waiting on my PVHES... Im hoping Monday now. Hoping.

I wish other companies would start making high efficiency stems as well. I love wood... Hence my screen name, but i prefer glass to smoke/vape from so those wood stems dont really get my attention.

But it would be nice to see some stateside companies putting out things like the turbo and vortex stem. Or even if PV sold them to Arizer to sell... Just cant say im a fan of paying higher shipping fees for PV than for Arizer and still getting much slower shipping speeds.
Ok I just bought an adapter for the solo from namastervape (?) don't even know if I'm spelling that right. I see units on eBay for about dor $170 but if I have all the glAss from my solo Im good to correct. I will let you all know how this adapter total amt $36 stands up with the solo. I understand that any water tool you put with the air you might want small if your packing it for travel. I am a nice little bubbler stashed in nola and think the air would be good for that in the house and small enough to use outside like the pax. Planetvape just can't get their act together; it was taking to long.

Enjoying rest off weekend Gonna try to enforce early tbreak tomorrow
I'll never make it. have fun. LIMom
Add a 45 degree M to F adapter to that rig and it'll solve your heat problem. ;)

Can you use a external charger to charge the 18650 batteries? Can you use other 18650 batteries like samsung cuz on the arizer website the extra batteries for $20 is a little much

I tend to set the vape to blue, while its warming up I load my stem. By the time its loaded and ready normally the vape is nearly heated and the stem pushes in nicely.

Feels like the process is quicker as well because its ready to hit nearly as soon as the stem is in. :)

First time post and vape newbie. Loving the FC community and my new air! Have never found a troll free, supportive, and intelligent group of people like this before. Needless to say I'm hooked! Was wondering tho, I have had a pvhes vortex for a couple weeks now but every photo I have seen of it here has had a PV logo on it and mine came with no logo at all is this common? Also looked everywhere and can't find measurements of the vortex as they seem a tad longer in the photos then mine does.

They usually have the logo, maybe they missed it on yours? It's a PV product so I really really doubt you got a knock-off haha. I think they're about 1 inch longer than the stock stems. Also thicker glass.

Yea no doubt it's not a knock off, I used the code to get the free volcano grinder with it but I don't have any stock solo type stems to compare it with. I have the small MP stem and the small all glass stem and the vortex. I know pics can be deceiving but I swear it looks shorter. Just thought the no logo was weird I looked everywhere and couldn't find any style pvhes with no logo on it? It also came with a tiny tiny blemish in it which isn't a big deal to me it works great but has me wondering if maybe I received a demo version or something by accident? Thanx for any help.

Howdy. Welcome to the Forum and all the fun. You're right, lots of good folks around, plenty of useful information and advice. Great resource, but only as good as those who contribute. I'm looking forward to your efforts there, I sense they too will be valuable.

Great choice on Air, but I guess you figured that out on your own......

I'm with the Q man here, it's a custom part, if you bought it from PV it's the real deal. If you bought it anywhere else most likely not. I would not sweat the logo.

My Vortex stem is 15mm (.59 inches) longer than stock. Stood on end, side by side, the stock stem comes up to the center of the vortex section of the PV stem.

You're welcome.

If you don't have a stock Solo stem it's about five inches over all. Stood on end next to Air the Air comes about 1/3 up the bowl part above the partition.

OK so your saying my vortex shouldn't be shorter then my air? Correct? Cuz it's about a half inch shorter then my air when side by side. I'm measuring just under 4.5 inches total length of stem?

I got the same thing a no logo vortex and its a drop smaller than the air. Don't really mind at all bc it works wonders with the medicines.

I agree it works great and I love it and a logo isn't a big deal to me........but I have to admit receiving something so different from what I ordered is a little concerning especially with a product that is so hard to get? I know it's not much but seems to me alot of ppl want this stem because of the added length?

They will all vary.. It's longer than the all glass air stem.

Yea I understand various tolerances and sizes and the fact that they are hand made......and maybe this is my machining and fabrication backround talking.....but over half an inch on a product that is marketed based on its added length? Not to mention i didnt get the travel tube cuz they said it wouldnt fit but now im wondering?I will contact PV and update.

My Vortex stem that I bought through PV for the Solo is 5 inches long. I've measured it before. It's one inch longer than the regular Solo straight stem. It has the PV logo on the side.

It works wonderful with the Air. I bought mine about 3 or 4 weeks ago, I think.

Edit
Leave a message regarding Vortex stems on Planetvape's thread.

Mine is about a 1/4 inch longer than the Air's body.

Exactly, im just as likely (with my luck) to find out they dropped them and i missed out again. after waiting...and waiting....

ok i will admit, that prob wont happen. BUT it would suck... its Plausible.

I dont much care about the added length, in fact id prefer a shorter vortex with a mouthpiece on it personally...

Like most things in life... A lot of us are wanting the vortex simply because it feels out of reach to us at the moment. Its the curiosity driving our purchase..... At the same time though, I offered 50 bucks for 1 and so far there is no interest... To me that says it must work amazingly and people dont want to let them go....

I can understand the company running out and taking time to restock. Production takes time. I have 26 customers now waiting on a product i sell and they been waiting since Feb 11th. But they were all informed that i expect production to take until the end of March or beginning of April. No one is complaining and no one is asking me questions about when the item will be available... Because i let them know up front... If PV just gave us an estimated time of completion the majority of us would stop asking about it and be OK with the wait.... Its the NOT knowing that fuels our want even more.....

For me anyways HA.

Planetvapes specialty stems are always in short supply. It seems like as soon as they get them in stock they are sold out. A very popular item. Just check often. I'm waiting for a GonG and a bent stem.

I have 2 but will not part with it. A very nice addition to the Air. I can use the hottest temp at the end of my session. The hottest I can go with the stock stem is green. I like higher temps for pain relief.

PV seems to be a reputable company and im inclined to wait but its breakin my balls man. I wonder when theyll start selling the titanium version of the air, i also wonder if it adds any structural stability/safety, maybe that will be a nice little consolation prize. I dont think im gonna align my t breaks to when i get a new product anymore... this poor key lime is just begging to be smoked :(....

Otherwise i prob wouldnt mind half as much lolol.

As for the vortex being better or not vs being hyped up, id like to believe the added length prob does what its named for but meh i guess i could just do the diy a few pages back. Cant miss what youve never had, right?

I didn't think the Ti version was anything other than a different color???... Is there more to it than the color??

It looks more like a copper'ish color to me than titanium anyways. Most the Ti i have and have worked with was silver'ish until/unless it had been anodized.
