Not extreme at all for a couple of reasons. If I get pulled over, I tell the cop it contains my personal property, and no, he can't search it. He assumes it's a gun and all is well (funny how that works).

The main advantage is that I can have all my kit with me when showing people the enano. I've literally bought this setup to a few get togethers, and since vaping is so new to most of them, I have people asking where to get the enano, cheap glass, etc..

Just doing my part to spread the word. You can also get smaller ones. The one I linked was the 4 pistol case.

I may have to try that one out. Looks like overkill, but I do like your cop theory here. Could definitely go like that with some of the yahoo troopers in my area.

I also turn people on to vaping and nano as much as possible. Usually through trial. But, ran into a guy last night at a beer tasting room (yes... really. no shit!) and we got talking about some of the other finer things in life like vaping. He has a pax, but doesn't use it much. I gave him web address to here and epicvape. Hopefully he'll pop on.

Think maybe you missed what I mean..... Epic isn't in the glass business or the stem business. Andy provides a few options for both stems and GonG adapters so his vape will be useable without having to get accessories from another source. Think they are sufficient, and assume keep it simple and easy for him to stay on the task at hand - making and selling e-nanos. Simple and easy for him seems to keep price stable (same for a couple years now) and the wrong items being shipped to a minimum. I kind of like both of these things, and think most purchasers (new and repeat) would agree.

FWIW I don't think I've seen a single other request for a bent stem in the 428 pages here, or in the Joda custom glass thread of another 80+ pages. So, don't think it advantageous for Andy to offer them, nor would most be getting any benefits from the possible increase of cost and order mix ups that would be created from offering them. Think best for him and for us that he keeps it simple, and lets others do custom work as requested. Same with wood stems, carbed GonGs, steam rollers or pretty much anything else for that matter. Think you'll find pretty much the same with any other vape manufacturers - large or small. For instance, while Arizer does provide the bent stem for solo (and always has) - they still don't offer any type of GonG adapter in the face of many requests by users and the difficulty of finding one without ordering and waiting for a custom.

Haven't tried a wooden stem myself. I do love Ed's beautiful work, but seldom go dry and when I do I love my Joda stem!

I hear what you saying but neither is Arizer in the business of glass or stems but they have more options available. I would also like to see this option available. Just like they have a bent stem for the ev-2, if there was a option for that on nano I would definitely buy it. Customs are available but obviously at a high price point. If this was sold separately as an accessory just like the stands & the gongs, there would definitely be a market for that.

How does your joda setup look? Any pics of your setup?

A bent stem isn t a good idea because of abv/herb falling in your heater... but a j-HOOK works very well ... i own a cheap j-hook ... maybe sometimes i will order one from vapedandconfused jodaglass but i am from europe so ...

Longest you are still hitting your stem when putting it out of the heater then turn it real fast it will not fall into the heater. This same method is also used with the straight stem. I have seen a few people use a Jhook but that's a two hand operation right? I was looking for something I could kick back on my couch & not have to hold the nano upside down, which works good for a few hits but could get annoying after a while.

I too like bent stem when hitting dry, it keep out of your lungs small particles and heat but not the taste, IMO. I use a 14mm gong with a grav lab j-hook: nice to look at and smooth hit, when I switch to wet hit I just add an ash catcher (from black leaf)

Sounds like a cool setup. Can the Jhook also be used upside down? I have seen people use the Jhook upside down but wasn't sure how this thing would work as I have never used one before.

Andy has a bent stem for the EV-2 for sale, you could use a gong+adapter and voila! VXL sells a larger more expensive mouthpiece you could use with an 18mm gong or 14mm gong+reducer(inverted), same goes with a jhook easy peasy. If you use high temp silicone you could prob easily rig one up with your bent solo stem and a 14mm gong.

as far as i know the ev2 the bowl is not directly over the heating element...

regarding the bent stem...
as you mention it is not unable to use it as you discribe it... but with the straight stem the posibility especialy for new users is lower to loose abv/herb in
heater...

i can use my j-hook with one hand... i can t use my j-hook upside down because of its shape... but have seen j-hooks which can do this...

@$un Enchantre posted a video on page 422 showing the j hook in use right side up, and upside down.

Thanks bro ill go back & look, IDK how I missed it!

Vapor dabbing. No pauses, no words, just delicious vapor.... I highly recommend HD 1080p, as then you can see the vapor in the JHook...

That setup looks really laid back & relaxing, that's what I'm looking for! But using the Jhook upside down means I have to constantly have my herbs being roasted? Unless I flipped it over & take the nano off? That still seems like a hassle to me.

My Joda stem? It's all over in this thread and others. Standard pic below. Some may recognize it. It's also the pic I use for most of my photoshopped pics through the thread.

If you use your nano upright, and pull the stem off bits are going to fall in. As long as you're not in a gravity free environment, anyway. If you're insistent on using it upright, I'd suggest flipping it to put on or take off the stem - or get used to having crumbs fall in. Or, you could do what it seems everyone else does and has suggested - tip it down. I usually hold the stem in my mouth at proper angle and put the nano on it. Doesn't have to be much. Just down a little more than 90 degrees.

Nano & Joda stem at approximately the angle I use it at:

PS..... I don't think Arizer has many glass options unless things have really changed in the past couple years. You get what they decide you get, and that isn't always the best with their stuff. I and others have had many of the same suggestions for them for years (GonG for solo, better rig at top of EQ, better bag set-up, etc), and don't think they've stepped up on any of that yet.

Respectfully disagree - I have used with 100% success and ease a small screen, compressed at the edges and domed to fit snuggley into the open end of my loaded Nano stems, be they Ed;s, Joda Glassworks, or Epivape. Not a speck of anything EVER falls through into the Nano. I do the same with all my vapes. Clean as whistles and still showroom condition. A very thin wisp of cotton will serve the same purpose. ;):2c::2c::peace:

That stem looks cool but I like mine more simple & see through. I love to see the vapor coming up the stem, it gives me a rush ;). I have been using the solo for the past 2-3 years, its almost in my second nature to flip the unit upside down & then take the stem off, I don't have any problem with my herb falling in to the heater but a few crumbs here & there happens, happened with the solo as well. Does the Joda stem perform any different than the stock one?

Um, no... it's convection; if you aren't inhaling, air is not being pulled through.
Besides, that was concentrate. On SS wool pad. After I'd embedded it in the pad.

For herbs, I use the JHook right side up, and remove the ENano at the end of my hit.

Some where up stream there is a discussion about water temps with the enano.
I have started using warmish water, always used COLD. The big difference I notice
is the glass is way cleaner. Probably because less loss into cold water? So therefore more
good going where it is intended......
Old school combuster, ice, lots of water. This is a new world, great to be learning.

This is a couple weeks of claim. I originally ordered a dropdown from bakebros for $17 shipped because its gunking up my fc710 and custom recycler. I can usually once a day just pull a glob drip out of the bottom of the nano gong and put it back on top. While waiting I ended up cracking my 14mm from Joda which was my only way to use the FC710. Finally got my dropdown in today and even got to try it with a fresh clean new nano gong that Andy sent me a few days ago.

Already dripping after a nights worth of fun with assorted concentrates. Maybe tomorrow ill have some morning claim coffee. Thanks @ACE OF VAPE !!

I've noticed this too. My theory is that the cold water cold down the glass which causes vapor to condense all over the inside. Warmer water definitely seems to leave the glass cleaner.

Hi all.
I have been using e nano for a while and enjoying it a lot. I have been using the same basket screen the whole time though and this is the only thing I don't like about it. I wish it had glass screen like the solo. I try to wash my basket screen with rubbing alcohol but no matter what it stays clogged. I can only get 1 or 2 hits before I have to try and unclog the screen again or there is no airflow.
I have not been able to enjoy my nano for days because of this and I am wondering what I can do short of ordering new baskets? Does anyone familiar with my issue and know how to clean the screen better?
I could torch it but I was worried about smell and oxidation.

@p1ssbucket For the basket screen there few schools, first having more than one screen permits to rotate during the cleaning process :
-Torching screen. You can torch it forever and they will stay put but i find them clogging afster than non torhed screen.
-Not torching screen. Try to let them sit in a bath of Iso for few hours which is better than alchool, they will come new. rinse with hot water and NEW screen!
-You can move the screen very near the heater and then vape the things clogged!

There is actually some all glass Gong at epic vape store to change from basket screens.

I use basket screen because of the open airflow, all glass are pratical but put the airflow down a bit.To the extremity of gongs a Eq basket screen. To catch specs and preserve glasses i put some ss pad ball between to reclaim some gong hash for the all glass gong.

Wow thank you. I actually did not know they sold all glass gongs. I couldn't find them on site until I clicked normal gong and then saw it in related items!

I put the screen in my gong, but realize it already has a honeycomb design. I guess there is no use to use the basket with the gong? I just did it because I see it on all the pictures. Do enano users still use the screen or just use the gong with no screen?

As I saw somewhere here in the thread, that after a session you can blow the screen. What I do is blow the adapter not the side where the herb sits on but on the other side, hard! To dislodge any parricles that stick around. While every is still hot. The baskets last a longer while without getting clogged up. Way longer, than when I used to just vape and repeat. Thats if its herbs your vaping. It might be different for other stuff

Good morning Nano Nation! I use 91% or higher Iso w/o problems cleaning screens, take a SSV pick and scrape like I'm rubbing a lottery scratch off afterwards and brand new, almost. You can use basket with hc gong to move load closer to heater, or stack other glass hc disks. My Stoney Sunday wake n bake is about to begin!

I rarely change out my adjustable screens, although I do have backups when I get very annoyed or too lazy to do an ISO soak.

What I do when my screens get clogged is set my Nano to 10. Let it get nice and hot. Then I put it on the stem, let it heatsoak the glass for 30 seconds, then I give it a slow long rip. I usually get one solid hit off this (not milking, but certainly vapor). Then I quickly flip the stem over, and blow through the other end of my stems. I usually repeat this process 3 or 4 times.

I did that for over 2 months with the same stem and the same screen, never cleaned or replaced it once, despite multiple sessions per day
