You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Thanks @Snappo
I don't know much about it besides it's a lost dog made of Curly Pyinma wood. Which I found out from an old message in the PD thread, that some guy named @max ;) posted, stating it is an Asian Satinwood that people with extremly good taste must obtain. Ok, maybe he didnt say all that... That was however, the only mention of this wood I found on FC. You can also go here for more info on the wood: http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-identification/hardwoods/pyinma/

I'm guessing you call it a twig? I'm such a dog pound noob! Plus I guess I need a VVPS now? How do you guys prefer to run multi dogs?

If you're only using one dog at a time, like I do, the standard VK is PERFECT!!!!! The VK's are also available in battery powered units for on-the-go portable vaping situations!!!!! Stay tuned for some awesome Snappo pics - all 6 [7] of my dogs in one shot! Never doubt a dog lover;)!

Great Scott!
Ordered. Better make sure "Battery must be correct connect, otherwise will burn" :uhoh:

Any rough ballpark of the amount of time that will power an underdog with 4 of those 18650s in there?

Not sure, I suspect it will depend in part on the wood species of the Dog, core revision, batteries used and voltage run etc... lots of variables involved. I just know that users have told me they're using them with good results.

How about you test it out and let us know? :brow:

Oh you know I will.

I'm just wondering if this is like half hour, or a few hours. Now that I have another dog on the way I won't mind letting one run cold in the name of science. I'll start one on fresh batteries and see how long it takes to go from cold to warm, then back to cold from dead batteries. If its over 4-5 hours, I'll probably lose track since it will have become a non-issue to me haha.

Lol.. I didn't figure it'd take much arm twisting to get you to do a bit of experimenting. Once you have your 'kit' set up send me a message and tell me how it's going, etc.

As far as run time goes I really have no idea and don't want to hazard a guess. I think your experiment sounds good though and look forward to the results. :science:

Speaking of experiments and gadgetry.. I've been using an awesome little device for a while and find it pretty cool. It finally occurred to me that maybe I should share.

An inline dimmer to adjust heat downward (all the new Dogs run pretty hot so this works out well), turn the Dog on/off (and it remembers your last setting), etc. Just plug it in between your power supply and extension cord and you're good to go. Oh yeah very unobtrusively small and a wireless remote too. Not bad for $6.

Too bad it can't take a higher input voltage. Guess for the price I could experiment. Crank up the input voltage to see how far she'd go before gettin smoked.

Edit- Just looked at the description of it and it says 12v input, but the picture of it shows 5-24v.
???

It's labeled 5-24v on the actual device so I'd go with that. It output is fixed at 12v and the PWM dimmer dims the current on the output.

Hey UDs and Lurkers- We're doing a quick experiment on the back end of the website and need your help!

We need live vape orders, so if you're thinking of buying an UD, this coupon code will work starting now through the end of tomorrow only: FEB28

What it will get you is double the stems that you order, 10% off any vape besides the air cores and free shipping. (If you prefer 2 NonGs or 2 Shorty GonGs instead of the double stems, write it in the comment section).

Thanks!! :)

Anyone with any experience with these?
I have 4 or 5 places at home that I enjoy vaping in, so instead of buying complete vvps's for them, I'm looking at getting one or more of these.
They're fairly cheap at 9 bucks, but no enclosure and still needs to be fed with an input voltage. Having a bunch of old wall warts laying around doesn't hurt. Not sure how durable they are, so I'll start with one and report.

That's basically what we were using in the VVPS we were making last year though with an integrated display vs our detached one. Reliability is a bit hit and miss but generally decent especially if not driven 'hard' 24/7 and kept cool. The no-enclosure aspect could actually be helpful in the cooling regard vs our closed boxes. At $10 it might be worth a bit of experimentation especially if you like DIY projects.

It looks like we got enough sales in to get what we needed out of it.. thanks everyone.

That said we will still be leaving the discount code active and in place until midnight tonight in case anyone else was planning on taking advantage of it. See Underdogette's post quoted above for details. :peace:
