Hey guys I own a peyote pillar and was wondering what vape to use with it. While I was really thinking about the evo but i still don't know because it looks very airy when you first start hitting it but later on it gets very dense and thick will this be a problem drawing from a bong this big?

You could look at the VaporGenie stainless steel coil. It works very well with bongs from what I understand. I have the VG Classic (works on the same principle) and I can get huge rips off it.

Oh, and it's only $35. If you don't mind using a butane lighter as your heat source (I like it, it has more of a traditional "smoking" feel to it) VaporGenie makes quality affordable vapes. Just my :2c:

I use my Solo with a pretty big Roor, and I don't even have a GonG, I pretty much do what @paytonpenn did up there, but without the ring (usually)
Though The Hammer, lotus, and VG Coil seem a bit more adept, until I at least get a GonG.
You might also look at log vapes, or the LSV.

Welcome!

This is common with pretty much every vaporizer. Herbs don't vaporize the second you start hitting it, they need to build up to temperature. For many of us young bucks with powerful lungs, this is no biggie, just keep ripping until the sucker start's to milk up.

Other's on this site with less than optimal lung capacity tend to "prime" the vaporizer first by pulling until it starts to milk, taking a breath, and then taking a huge rip.

A few vaporizers I suggest you consider for a waterpipe (in no particular order) are Lotus, e-Nano, LSV, DBV, SSV, Underdog, and Evo (yes, I know you don't think it's that great, but it is potent).

There are of course many others, but those are a good start

The Evo was made for the bong experience, so I would have to recommend that as a first choice. The LSV is excellent and cheaper. The Lotus is also excellent and even cheaper still. All three of these were made to mate with your glass and fog it up. Check out their differences to see which would be a good fit for you.

@Ratchett is right on the money...don't sweat the little bit of warm up time needed for the first hit in any vape.

I just purchased a stainless steel coil. Thanks for the info. Looks like a cool little product. I always leave a little dry herb when making errl and now that I haven't combusted in a while I don't really want to combust it. Fuck combustion. I think this will make a great addition that will allow me to completely rid myself of combustion.

Here is a video I found of the stainless in action. Also a few more vaporgenie bowls. All being used in different configurations.

sorry i keep posting this everywhere guys, but clearly it's the sublimator XD or the vapexhale cloud, both direct draw units. Sublimator wins though imo.

I couldn't be happier with my current set-up, I haven't vaped dry in the two weeks since I got my new toy (rare for me). I wanted to try the lotus just for the experience of the routine, but this has scratched that itch.
I even tried an overstuffed bowl last night, turning the heat down a smidgen, it was perfect. I feel like I have full control, I can hover for thinner hits or lay the HC down on the load and whitewall a bubbler. Half-way through a draw I can even lift the LSV easily to make sure I'm not charring (rare), in a split second.

- Heats up in <5 minutes - no need to preheat
- All glass visible air path - besides the heater and screen
- Pure convection - The GonG barely gets hot - I have a few battle scars from my e-nano GonGs.
- The GonG fits the nano screens, so it can fit log size loads.
- Nano screen is the only screen in the vapor path, and it is tiny
- NO GG - No sticking ever - No GG scraping sounds  Just a clink from glass hitting glass
- Easy to stir bowl - The flare keeps material from falling out
- Much smaller than I expected - the LSV w/o metal protector isn't much bigger than the nano

It really depends on the temp you're using and how much you load (as well as the moisture content of the herb you're using). It's quite possible to make "later on" happen with the 1st hit.

Evo my friend, that's what it is designed for. Big hits. I think SM55 has a Peyote pillar at one point and there used to be a video of him ripping it with the VXC

Another soon to be happy customer.

What Evo package did you end up with sticky555?
I didn't buy it new I bought it used from some guy on boromarket (he used it like 4 times he said). It was 250$ for the evo, a dry tube ("that he never used"), and 2 ez load bowls as well as a heat sleeve. He said vaping wasn't for him so its a win-win i guess. I'm super exicited :)

That's sounds like a very good deal.

You gotta post some videos of your peyote pillar vapor hits. I think it would look even cooler than with smoke, because you should be able to see the pillar action the majority of the time.

If you do, tag me.
