Pen Imag Plus

Wondering if anyone thinks the mouthpiece of the ceramic version gets incredibly warm when doing back-to-back (can't avoid it since the short shutoff time)? To, me it doesn't get unbearably hot but I find it quite noticeable. I've taken out the filter from the mouthpiece, which is the likely culprit for why the high temperature. I guess I have to figure out whether the minimal draw restriction is worth the warm mouthpiece:shrug:

I just unscrewed the bottom of the mouthpiece. Do you have the new version? I'm not sure the old version allow you to do this.

I presumably have the latest latest version, and no ceramic filter js in the mouthpiece at all. But it can still get hot, that was an issue with v1 too, its the nature of the plastic and metals used. In general this is a pretty harsh hitting vape, bc of the large oven and very short path way

Yup, I have the latest not the latest latest haha. Anyway, good point about the materials being used. It def does have a short pathway.

i just sold my old imag plus (metal chamber and air intake holes on the side of the chamber)
Now i am hoping to order new one with ceramic chamber and carbon look...anyway.
one question; ceramic chamber has holes on the bottom of the chamber, do they pack/get blocked regular ? there was no problem with side intake holes so far on old model

I was concerned about that, and also the size of the oven, so I added an upside down basket screen into my oven for slightly smaller packs (its still too big though), and it allows the bottom area to remain clean and open

I just go through the 3 settings and roast it up at the end on Red. Also remember its a vape so you dont have to finish it all in one session. So I wouldn't reduce my oven size at all personally but that depends how much of a vape demon you are.... :-) This is not a candy a$$ vape but it hits a bit hotter but still nice ggood draws and good vape. The Red setting really sets it apart from a lot of other vapes because of the high temp option to give a close to combustion hit. Personally I like that and dont usually like to vape under 390. So its a great vape because of the wide range even thoughit is only 3 settings.

Yeah red is ridiculously harsh and adds little effects I didn't get on middle setting. I'd like this vape much more if it had the temps at like 360-385-410. Otherwise my issues are also driven by being spoiled by convection portables.

So re oven size, I can get much better results with less material in a convection vape, so it can be very inefficient for one person, using a whole oven. I feel like I waste just as much as I get to consume in a full bowl, and I dont know that it cooks as evenly as the metal oven did. Itd be better I think if it was narrower, but this is the standard size for these ceramic conduction ovens

so i am guessing that ceramic chamber/oven is bigger than metal one? looks like similar to atmos orbit.
Anyway i just tested atmos boss last day and in my opinion is terrible against Imag, the only maybe positive side is a small oven and lower temperatures (~185°C)...and i also noticed plastic smell even after 10 burnouts, so i send it to test to check if it really is that kind of crap

Where can the Imag Plus (metal or ceramic version, I don't mind which) be had for the cheapest these days? Ideally a store that accepts Bitcoin as a payment method.

Has anyone kept track of how many sessions they got out of a full charge? If so please let me know what model you have as well. If we run on the hottest setting everytime vs the lowest setting every session would that reduce the amount of sessions the battery charge can hold?

For sure. But I don't think anyone runs on the high setting, I run on middle setting and big clouds and my ABV is pretty dark brown. Red setting is rough tasting.

With a full charge how many sessions can you get out of a full charge and what version of the imag do you have?

I have the older model. I think I had 5-6 (2-4 pulls each session) sessions in one day, battery was not dead. I charge it every night and have not had it hit empty yet.

So what is the consensus on the original vs the updated ceramic version? I've considered buying a pen style to compliment my solo but the reviews are somewhat confusing.

I had the flowermate v5.0s and found it to get really warm in hand on the lowest temp setting and the mouthpiece was warm too, creating hot and harsh vapor. I'm not sure if a pen would be much different with the short air path.

There are very few real pen vaporizers. Maybe wait and see the reviews for the Grasshopper in the next few weeks. If you can grab an original imag+ for around $60-$70 I would say go for it. By the third or fourth pull you can feel some heat in the mouthpiece but like you say, it is because of the short vapor path. This is an issue that you can't really avoid if you want an ultra portable vaporizer. If you are willing to go for something a bit bigger than a pen sized vape then you can't go wrong with the Arizer Air, I use it mostly at home but it is very portable.

Yeah ive had both imag plus original and ceramic, the old oven might've been a bit better, but the new ceramic is probably equally as harsh as FlowerMate, though at least the temp is slightly lower on setting one on Imag. Short airpaths and session conduction is too harsh for me these days, plus no truly low temps on these models either unfortunately
