At my wits end with trying to view Imgur images

Your picture posted correctly the first time. Its imgur that is not sending images through FC. If you downloaded Firefox you need to install the addon that @vtac suggested and set it like I suggested so that you can see the imgur images embedded in FC. So again, nothing wrong with the post, its imgur and us finding a way to make our browsers display these images correctly with FC.

The picture looks fine to me now because I adjusted Firefox to mirror back the host at imgur so it thinks I am there and not here. You may be seeing that picture from your cache and not through imgur. An easy test for you to see if its working is goto the GIF thread, or even earlier page in the Stash thread, after clearing all your temporary Internet files and cache and see if you can see anything from imgur there. I sincerely hope @vtac gets in touch with them and straightens this apparent "ban" out.
Firefox is a huge memory hog for me, Does anyone have a good plugin for Chrome to disable referrer by site?
Edit - Nevermind, I found one. Chrome has an extension called "Referer Control", but I can't figure out how to use it and get imgur images to show up again
I have since confirmed this issue was limited to FC when I did a test on a personal blog and everything worked fine

As stated it was only a theory, and one that large websites would use to reduce bandwidth temporarily while they fix stuff on the backend.

This works for Opera users. I only checked Do Not Send Referer.

I don't know about Opera 27 or whatever the current version is, but Opera 12 (the last real Opera release) has a checkbox for turning off sending referrer information in Settings|Advanced|Network.
Very doubtful. This appears to be an intentional action by the Imgur staff

Yes, and since that means they are in your cache they will also show up in the original post until they are cleared.

I have seen the other end of the referrer, other place, another time, and it only takes a single character to change to bump, if it's sending/referring different. Looks like malware to the server responding.

imgur is returning 403 forbidden responses to any request that contains a referrer of fuckcombustion.com. It's not clear to me that we've been singled out. A search turned up another forum that started having the same problem around the time we did: http://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/imgur-403-errors.329585/
That's another XenForo board, so it doesn't rule out the software yet.
