So glad I found this site . I just received the GB-194-1 from yingmin5. Awesome piece. I've spotted 2 from StevenImz79, both preorder pieces. The YS004 and the YS006. I've tried looking for info about the YS004 but cant find much info. Namely the size of the piece and the joint fitting. I'm pretty much guaranteed to order this rig. My question about the 006 is will it come with a cap like this piece http://www.dhgate.com/product/hot-sale-factory-price-mini-bubble-quartz/229610659.html and would it be possible to get it in other colors?

I'm also thinking about ordering this piece http://www.dhgate.com/product/grav-labs-buoy-base-honeycomb-perc-14-mm/209765529.html I see some people have had bad experiences with this particular seller. I can't seem to find this piece from other sellers though any help :ugh:

Thanks guys, hope I posted in the right place:tup:

My FC-711 / Mini-Pillar has arrived! Looks perfect aside from some bubbles in the joint support. I'm using mine for dabbing only and I think it's going to serve that purpose well.

After only using the FC-710 and D-Cycler for the last few weeks, hitting the mini-pillar feels a lot more airy which is a nice change. When you pull on it, the water is sucked up the tubes and diffuses as large bubbles in the top part, I can pull as hard as possible and get no splashback in the mouthpiece. Flavor seems good from the 2 hits I've taken so far, will have to do more testing after work. I can feel a bit of chug but it's more like a light rumble which I actually kind of like.

Hows the flavor of the pillar compared to the 710?

I think the FC710 still wins hands down for flavor, but this piece aerosolizes the vapor more so while the flavor is less overall the taste is still both nice and different.

What do you guys think about this:

Mini-beaker pendant with a built-in domeless nail made entirely of quartz. It's expensive and from a sketchy site but, all of the sudden, so much want :o

It's a lot to spend though, and I'm not sure if theres much of a real advantage of an all-quartz rig. (stronger maybe?)

Think we could do one better? Perhaps out of glass if steven can't work quartz, but I'm loving this design.

Well damn, that was easy! Wish it had a wider base though.. Looks like it'd be nice as a pendant, but I want one as a taste piece for my coffee table, and that base is only 1.5" wide!

Not positive, but I think they might be the same piece just the angle of the pix from thedabworld makes it appear wider or there is some variation in size between the individual pieces. Have definitely seen the other quartz stuff that sourcevapes sells for way more money on other sites. Except for the size all the details are identical. Also skeptical that the rig is all quartz, unless it is Chinese (though I would still be a bit skeptical). Just seems doubtful that an American blower would make a quartz rig when you have to assume it would cost more with little added benefit. Not really any way to test if it was quartz besides maybe trying to break it.

If you're looking for a taste piece I would suggest the FC-710 if you don't have one already or a baby bottle rig. Both of those are flavour country.

Could be... they do look somewhat different though. It's really hard to tell looking at the pics. Either way I'd assume it's probably Chinese at that price.

And I do indeed have the 710, so I'm most definitely rolling in flavor country already, however there's still another level of flavor to be had when you're hitting a mini that's under 5 in with minimal diffusion... It'd be harsher, but I think even a bit truer of flavor than the 710, simply because there's so little in between your lungs and your dab. I dunno, with the 710 already on my table I wouldn't want to spend too much on one, but for 25 bucks I might have to pick one up purely as a taster piece for new oil. If I do, of course, I'll report back.

I have a little BabyCake rig that I got from @yingmin5 for about ~$20. 14mm male and 3 hole diffy. Definately flavor town but harsh.

Then if you really want to go small.

@Erwin I second the baby cake.

One of the best nano piece I have hit. With the right water level you get no splash back. The 3 hole perc and limited vapor glass contact definitely makes for a crazy flavor piece.

I have my baby cake paired with a New-Vape 10mm ti domeless nail. I love it! Big flavorful hits but definitely a little harsher compared to other rigs like @DieHard was saying

Hmmm. I'm just not a fan of the baby cake aesthetically... I do like the looks of that second pic though. Especially since I'd be going for even more flavor than the 710, natty perc really does seem the way to go. I think I mostly just like the looks of those beakers. @DieHard, thanks for reposting those pics. Do you have a link to that second one?

Check out this nano beaker. Cheap! And looks like maybe a 2 slit?

Not sure if the downstem is open ended or not? Send the seller a message. I've boughten a few things from this seller on ioffer and they were decent quality for the price and I always got fast responses. And if you are looking to pick up a couple things from the seller, message him first. They definitely cut deals on multiple item orders :)

I have a tube very similar to this but mine has 4 slits and an open end on the down stem. The open end sucked because it made the bubbles too large which cause splash back. At the beginning I liked the baby cake way more than this mini tube because of the splashback issue.

I made a tiny round glass ball (shaped a piece of glass from a broken extraction tube into a tiny ball with my Dremel tool) and it plugs the hole and actually covers 2 slits so now only 2 slits function. Much smaller bubbles and no splashback now! There is definitely more restriction in the pull but I'm cool with that since it works better now :) I actually prefer this tube over the baby cake now! Such a sweet rig!

@BoogerMan Those look pretty awesome. I'm going to explore that seller more and see if I can find our answer to the open downstem question. Also, that's brilliant blocking the hole by rounding out a piece of glass. I consider myself pretty macgyver-y, but I never would have thought of that one.

@DieHard That sounds like just the punch I'm looking for.

Wanted to give a shoutout to @blankrider for starting this thread & working with Stephen to embark on such an effort to bring glass to the people! First time I saw the peyote pillar, I was mesmerized by the perc and knew I had to have one. Until I found out the price of one. Fast forward to 2015 and I'm almost strictly vaping. The lure of a giant pillar bong is gone but upon seeing all the original post with prototypes posted in this thread, my craving for a pillar piece returned.

Happy to report I just ordered the FC-711! Which I predict is going to be the first of many acquisitions after drooling over the Torus, FC-711 and FC-710 (to name a few :ko:). If anybody has experience vaping with or comparing the 711 or 710, as I plan on snagging a 710 next, I'm all ears. Curious to know how they hit, although it seems the general consensus on the 710 is that its a monster for flavor. Also appears that it would hit more 'chuggy' with respect to the 711. Gosh it'll be a long month waiting for that puppy to ship in!

Anxious to hear if anything has started moving yet post CNY. I'm sure some of our favorite vendors are back at it by now, but wondering if actual shipping is taking place yet. Thanks!

Steven is now back to business. He said that he understood how to fix the Torus. Hopefully he will have the new prototype ready soon.

Hopefully everybody's order sitting in limbo will start moving. I ordered a mini pillar on 2/12, it was processed through sort on the 15th and hasn't moved since.
