Mine fits but is very snug. I dont even try putting it in until the unit is warm anymore.
I also have the straight solo stem and it fits the same as the bent when the unit is cold, very snug and needing quite a bit of effort to get it in there. Im sure it also works fine when the unit is warm... But i have never used that stem. Just tried the fit when i first received the AA.
But as mentioned there is quite a bit of variances in these stems... Im not sure if the same can be said for the solo ones or not but if so then you may have slightly different results than me. I know i got 2 70mm stems that vary by quite a bit in how they fit.

It does feel like the top will unscrew... I just checked it. But i didnt unscrew it all the way at all, just a very little to see if it screwed on and off... I am not sure if it would void the warranty or not so i didnt want to chance it. But i believe it will indeed unscrew.
Im sure one of the more knowledgeable members will chime in soon with better info.

The oven and glass pieces are on par with the Solo, except for the plastics mouthpiece on the Air. I'm no engineer but it all looks similar. There are small holes in the base of the oven. Towards the top of the Air it looks like air get in under the oven and through the small holes. I unscrewed the top portion and can see where the air reaches the inside of the oven.
I don't know if that makes sense. @OF explains things better.
Heres is a picture with the top portion screwed off.
All that I know is that I get very nice, what feels like clean vapor flavor to me. A very pleasant vapor taste from the herb that I am using.

That would be this one:
I posted it so folks could see there was noting to be gained from disassembly. Two very tiny self threading screws (to loose or strip out) and nothing to be had really. And I had to rework the SS cover to get it back on (it had a burr that prevented it, took a half round file and some emery paper, no big deal if you're set up for such stuff).
Nothing you can clean out, modify for more flow or anything else I can see. It does blow your warranty (which I'm OK with) and gives you a chance to screw it up.
I'd limit it to unscrewing the cover and blowing/brushing out what you can. Don't be tempted to use tools.....

The Air has only been out since Nov. 2014. I hear there is a battery indicator now. I don't have one on mine. I bought my Air right after they started selling on Arizer's online store.

my roommate keeps wanting us to use this for our sessions, but i don't like it. you have to wait for it to heat up in between hits, am i wrong for thinking this is just for solo use? is it built to be used for multiple runs, like after it auto-offs, running it again immediately? seems bad

I don't wait between hits. I share with my S.O and buds all the time... we pass it back and forth until we are done. Only wait time is 30-60s waiting for it to be ready when I turn it on, then its good to go.

Does anyone have any experience with taking the Air, or any other vape on international flights?
I would obviously throughly clean the vape and stem with ISO, all visible reminants would be gone, but I presume if they swapped good chance is they might find something.
I wouldn't be transporting any herb, so they wouldn't find anything. And I guess technically these vapes arnt ilegal, however most the herbs people choose to use in them are ilegal where I live, and where I am going to.
Another thought is to buy a cheap stem, it will be perfectly clean for going there, and just chuck it away for coming back. Most of the residue is in the stem so that may reduce risk.
Thoughts people?

So as it was mentioned earlier in this thread, Arizer doesn't care to respond to e-mails regarding their products unless it's to try and sell us something.
I asked them about my question regarding medical approval and I was ignored.
I asked them why they didn't use a microUSB charging port and they responded within a couple of hours stating that it would take too long to charge (6+ hours). I explained to them why that answer doesn't hold any water and that the e-cig industry as well as a few vapes charge just fine in a couple of hours and asked what was different about their high-drain 18650 battery that it would take 6+ hours. I still haven't gotten a response after a few days.
I just don't appreciate this type of customer service. As much as I hated my old PAX, Ploom had excellent customer service and answered all of my questions to the best of their abilities rather than simply ignoring me.
But I'm most likely still going to order an Air haha

I think you're better dealing with a third party company than arizer directly.
Honestly though, due diligence on purchases is one thing, but questioning their charger choices after the product is already made sounds a bit...off? What exactly do you expect them to say?

The third statement above seems to conflict with the first. Didn't they answer your question (tell you why they didn't use the connector you think they should have? What did they try to sell you then? BTW, I suggest you don't ask if others think they're correct there (use of USB posts would slow charging), you won't like my answer (I agree with them).
As to answering 'gotcha' (or any other questions) I'm not at all sure they're obligated to answer. Why do you think they are? It might be nice, of course, but IMO it has it's limits......and they get to decide what those are.
I hope you do get over this and buy and Air. IMO it's an excellent product, superior to many others, it'd be a pity to miss out.

Arizer has answered every question i have asked in a very timely manner. Of course, i was raised with manners so there is that. Plus their shipping speeds and costs are excellent. My last 3 orders have made it to me in 3 days here in the US for 15 bucks.... I paid PV 17 bucks for shipping from Canada as well and its been 6 days and still hasnt made it to my city. Arizer shipped priority express and PV shipped priority parcel. Higher shipping costs for a slower shipping speed. Im not complaining about PV, im just praising Arizer.
I sell stuff online and in person (unrelated to vaping), and have quite a few customers, i try my best and answer every one of them (and potential future customers) within 24 hours. But i have a few customers that are constantly wanting me to change my designs to better suit their needs. What they dont understand is i have fully thought out my designs and have them the way they are for a reason. If i changed it to make that one person happy id loose the majority of my customers or loose the integrity and durability of the design. Which leads to the same thing in the end.
What im getting at is, just because you dont get the answer you want doesnt mean its bad customer service. Sometimes the customer doesnt know everything behind close doors.

I have a different experience charging high drain 18650s, I know with the batteries for the flashvape stage 2 it takes from 6-8 hours to charge 'em on the regular charger or my intellicharger i4.
when your charging the solo your charging 2 18650 batteries at once, i would think it would take darn near a day with a micro-usb charger. But what do i know??

Thanks for the responses, guys. I know it's not a big deal and I'm just being picky but as an electrical engineer, their excuse of USB taking too long to charge just doesn't fly. All i did was ask them what's different about their 18650, not sure why you guys think i'm in the wrong for trying to understand a product I plan on spending nearly $300 on. Like I mentioned, Im still set on buying this. I just want to learn every little detail before I spend the money. I do this with most of my purchases and it hasn't failed me yet. Never once have I needed to use a warranty or return for anything. You should always know what you're buying, especially if it's something you're putting in your mouth, into your lungs, and getting high off of.
