ok all this is after two days use. new observation to share. i'm gobsmacked at how little abv is left at the end of a sesh. and that's wif filling lily half full. so point being - major props to tommy for designing a vape that can start to make a claim for efficiency. i don't have any other vape that rivals lily with how little herbicles she needs. maybe if i go back to nylon tubes from purple days log vape days. so with the mrs taking a break from partaking and how far with how little lily goes, i'm pretty sure lily has already paid for herself. and all of this is making me happy. now achtung for h2o adapts por favore ;)

Yes yes and yes. For the life of me I can not figure out how the Lily is able to do this, as I've said it seems even more efficient than Daisy. I have tried other convection vapes that don't even come close to producing this much strong thick vapor out of tiny amounts and there are MANY vapes that claim they can....Triihouse's are the only ones I've tried that I feel live up to the claim from my experiences, it makes me feel like  on the inside.

Well, damn, my glass heat port developed a crack just from the heat of the lighter. I haven't dropped it or even fooled with it.

Argh. Just noticed mine has developed a crack as well, after just a handful of uses. I will have to take a picture and send it to Triihouse, I'm sure they do not intend for this type of wear so early.

Everyone else should maybe be very careful with the flame and not let it touch the glass too much and hold it further back from the mouth opening.

What about replacing those with Quartz?

I am sorry to hear this! Tommy and I are both racking our brains trying to figure out the cause. The intake stems are made from borosilicate glass which is supposed to be be fairly resistant to thermal shock. I have discussed this with @Seasoned Senior after his glass cracked also. I know that over the past few months I have "abused" Lily and not had this type of problem. I keep my heat high, I don't always pay attention when I aim, I have dropped mine (and Tommy's) several times. Still I have yet to crack or break either glass.

@Mister G and @little maggie I'll be sending you both private messages shortly!

Tommy and I are both racking our brains trying to figure out the cause.
I'm thinking that there are going to be a small % of parts that do this because of microscopic flaws in the material. If you were making airplane parts this type of variation would be accounted for and actively searched for using x-ray and other technology. It doesn't seem too mysterious to me and could probably just be covered on a case by case basis under warranty.

Ok, here's a closeup of my cracked heat port, hopefully you can see it. @matte green , please make sure Tommy takes a look. I want to be clear, I am not upset in any way, and Brenna contacted me right away to resolve this, I am a very happy Triihouse customer. I just want this fantastic vaporizer to be even more perfect if that's even possible, it is so close already.

Notice the crack starts at the cut and flame polish area? I wonder if that will be the typical mode of failure. If so, it supports my idea.

What idea?
The idea that these failures are going to be a small % and are due to microscopic flaws in the material, for whatever reason. The heat of course exacerbates the problem but I bet the flaw is still there and is the reason some parts fail while others do not. I still disagree with your premise that this is happening a lot. Prove it.

Maybe its different torches cracking it? Maybe triihouse torches dont crack it? I dont know anything about torches, seems only two people have had an issue so far though

Was able to pick up a screen from a buddy of mine. Lily is great! Easy clouds. I prefer to take a nice relaxed draw (~7-10 secs) while heating, without covering any "carb" holes for the first couple of hits. Then I rinse and repeat, gradually covering one carb, then two, as to increase the temp and extract more from my material. I also find that gently tamping down the material helps, although it isn't necessary.

For reference, I'm using the torch from Triihouse with a flame that's slightly longer than one inch (outer blue flame reaching slightly past an inch, inner flame being slightly past half an inch), Colibri Butane, and have been packing the Lily as to only cover the screen, or a bit more. Oh, and I'm using either a medium or fine grind that I get from my 4pc SCS. Hope this is helpful! Now back to getting vaked with the Lily :whoa:

it's not great to see the cracked intakes, but it's not a huge deal. early adopters might need to chill a bit. FC members should know that even boro is quirky, and this is a brand new product. these parts are easily replaced.

Looking for one smooth draw — it's the Daisy for sure. I love everything about it. You would never regret getting a Daisy.
Maybe when my taxes come back. I already have a Solo and a UD and now Haze and Lily. Everything else has or will go as a donation to California. But who needs so many vapes? I'm actually a bit worried about being able to assemble the Daisy even with videos given how long it took me to figure out the Lily.

The daisy comes 99% assembled in the box or at least mine did. All I had to do is turn the mouthpiece around and insert the heat intake tube. And it was ready for use. Good luck with you VAS and don't feel bad we al have it to some degree. I would never fault you for caving.

B.O.T. I got my tracking number! So excited I can't wait. Only a few more days till Lily's arrival.
