Flammable liquids in the microwave is a really really [bad] idea, just saying.

Putting the ISO into a baggie or dish and then putting it in hot water is a much safer, less [bad], way to warm up the ISO.

Please don't advise people to do something so [bad] as putting flammable liquids into a microwave. If you want to do it that's fine, but don't go advising others to make the same [bad] mistake.

I am not trying to be mean, just spreading some common sense. Yes, I did use the word [bad] a lot.

mod note: I fixed that for you. Please don't make such a [bad] mistake again.

----ok.... why is it so bad, or whatever word the mods had to replace? Out of the hundreds of 10 sec zaps in the microwave, ive had exactly 0 incidents. If youre gonna talk down at least explain why youre sitting up so high.

It's potentially a fire/explosion risk if the fuel/air ratio gets just right the microwave can explode I've seen it once a buddy of mine almost burnt his house down by leaving 99 ISO in for too long but we got it put out pretty quick thank god

Edit : failed to mention this dude put a large peice in a pretty big bowl and nuked it way too long

I managed to munch my SR-74x black bottom adapter.. again..

Are either of these available as accessory/expendable items, and how do I help you take my money (wanting to tack on a nibbler order to cover the shipping.. sounds fair?)
The bottom insulator is a consumable, they aren't on the site at this moment but you can add one to your order for $10+S&H by adding qty 10 of the Miscellaneous Warranty Repair fees to your shopping cart.. when you checkout, in step 2 please note in the comment box that your misc fees are for an SR-74x bottom insulator.

Yup, I used it as a e cig. I walked the strip hitting the SR. I gambled hitting the SR. In the casinos, I guess the tobacco cigarette overpowers the stench of my clouds. Never got a weird look or anything. Just treated it like a e cig. Now if I was hardcore chain vaping in one area for a long time, maybe I would get noticed. One guy asked me about it, but he knew what it was. So that means he is my friend lol. I mean everyone in Vegas is on something. Using the casino bathrooms you hear people snorting all the time. Maybe people are too stuck in their own world to notice my 8 vape. Once I used a kiss cart in Vegas but the reloading procedure made it hard to hide it. As a result I received more looks, but none from police. The Hercules SR is the king of Vegas.

haha, thats cool.

Yeah, no shit its flammable, but at 10s a pop, not even close to long enough to do anything. Especially once its in a piece, like nibbler or small rig, the ability of it to evap fast enough to cause a problem is nil. We are all supposed to be adults on this blog. Youve been on the earth for >18 yrs, you know whether or not youre capable of following directions when things are explosive.

Nice! Thanks stormy I went ahead and soak it last night that makes me feel allot better :). I just took it out from soaking all night looks pretty clean now what just let it sit till its dry and do a couple dry burns in a few hours or should I just do the dry burns right now without waiting any advice ? Thanks
Kind of late reply by me so you've probably done whatever by now. They say not to run the coil dry, but I definitely do dry burns of around a second with little breaks in between until vapor stops coming off. I don't notice it hurting my carts, but bad for the coil or not I don't want to inhale that so I think it's worth it. From the forums I'd say most people do dry burns after cleanings.

Do you 8 owners find yourselves needing to tighten the screw in your button every so often?

every few weeks ill notice myself needing to squeeze harder and harder to get consistent heating and then disassemble and reassemble the top, tighten the button back down, and all is well again

I got one of those kiss globes. First impression was, felt much better constructed than my friend's he used to have. You get two coils for $15 too, so it's a pretty good deal. My question is, because I've never had a globe type cart before myself, is a large amount of splattering on the globe normal? Am I doing something wrong? It didn't happen at first because I shoved a big wad of wax in there, and the wax was catching the splatter I think, but as it evaporated down in the cup, it was splattering all over the globe. Any words of wisdom?

Mine do the same thing (7.4v). I try to light pulse the button but it still splatters. If I hold it horizontally it also occasionally drips into the globe.

I find myself adjusting that screw once in a while. I wrapped the threads of the gold screw with Teflon tape to make the threads "tighter". I find this to work and I don't touch the screw often. This makes it harder for the screw to back out.

Is there a reason the ss kits were on clearance and sold out? Are they not being made anymore? Is it being replaced? Having just got a hammer top, an ss kit would make use of my old top and double top laying around for kiss carts and similar.

I guess they don't fit the new V4 tops, so they quit selling them for now. I think they're supposed to be coming up with some new version that works with both?

Honestly, you should buy a Vaporizer. This is coming from the guy that goes on hikes and attends music festivals with the PerseiHerculesNibbler on deck. Snowboarding, mountain biking.... the Vaporizer is a slick unit. I used to use my Omicrons on the go now I have converted to Vaporizing with the Mini. I can even charge the battery with my cell phone car charger (it has an extra USB port). I'm constantly surprised at how much I use the Mini and Vaporizer now. When I wear my Nibbler GN I put the Vape on the Globe and just... wear it.....

I've used the Mini on my Persei and 8 also I just like that everything mixes and matches and that the Vaporizer is cheap in my pocket, if I crash and break it, it's $30 not $130 to get a new one.

So I bought some FC2000 ceramic wicks online but I'm not sure what the best way to break/cut them into smaller pieces. Anybody have any experience with these things?

I finally added an 8 to my collection. The build quality is excellent. The 601/510 feature is also very convenient.
...So, I swapped caps on my 8 and was rockin' and rolling in about five seconds. Okay maybe seven seconds.

Took me 9 seconds to swap the 601/510 caps, I'm a slowpoke!

Yes, I use too.
I then was dumb(didn't use the circuit) and shorted it out so my screw is kind of melted into place and doesn't move anymore, lol.

All my globes are covered in sticky goodness after long use. The question is: what do I do with all that good stuff. I was thinking of putting some grinded flowers in and heat the exterior so the flowers act like a sponge or heat/gather drippings. Any advice to use that sticky goodness is greatly appreciated

You can also heat the globes in a small amount of milk(not skim). The milk fat is required to release the oil. Then make some medicated hot cocoa.

Big Baby Jesus: Will the new ss kits fit the older persei?

As far as I know (I don't have a SS kit because they're aren't selling them, and I don't have every version of Persei top) they work with version 1-3 tops. They just don't work with the v4 ones for some reason. :\

One end of my dabbing tool is a scoop. I just scoop off the heavy, then soak in ISO to clean it. I put the ISO in the freezer for a day or two and then pour it through a coffee filter and evaporate it off in a pyrex pie pan. Only way I think to prevent it is to keep the cup heaped up with wax to catch the splatter from what liquifies below.

It's almost impossible to prevent all the oil splatter. Best method I found is when you first start your draw, do it very slowly so the oil doesn't "pop", that pop is what makes it usually. Other than that just hit it slow and don't tip it. I just take my dabber spoon and scrape up all that splashed oil and put it back in the cup.... same with my herc reclaim chamber, scoop it out and put it back up top hehe... it's like a snake that eats it's own tail
