Bong vs Oil rig

i was recently having a Conversation with stickstones about glass pieces. I realize that I have 3 oil rigs and one vapor brothers bubbler. I am planning to exclusively use the vapor brothers bubbler (the cheapest one they sell $99) for all my vaping flower needs. On the other hand, the rigs will be used for concentrates and my nails.

The question I have for FC members is: do you use oil rigs only for concentrates or do people use them to vaporize flowers too. I have 2 pukinbeagles that I purchased that are both 14mm female with minimal diffusion for taste. I wanted to use one of these to vaporize flowers. What has been your experience using rigs with flowers?

What are the main differences between an oil rig and bubbler, other than oil rigs being female while the bubbler's are male (hope I got that right)? One thing I have noticed about oil rigs is that they are smaller. Why is that? Appreciate your feedback.

Reason for small oil rigs favored for concentrates is because there will be less time it takes to capture the inhale as with larger bongs/oil rigs tend to lose some of the oil vapors due to sticking on the walls much easier because of the longer pull/air path. With a smaller rig, you can achieve great diffusion (by style/design of percs, recycling features) and you lose less in the air path. Sometimes though small isn't always oil efficient could be for portability.

I'll vape out of oil rigs. Bongs often have too much diffusion for concentrates. I try to use separate pieces for oil and flower, because of the quality of reclaim.

Yes that domeless will fit. It is made for a 14mm or 18mm female fitting. Banger nail looks like a snorkel with a small bucket attached. Carb cap is a cap that fits securely on the nail to contain heat and reduce oxygen in the dabbing area. For more info look into Leidenfrost effect.(sp.)

I definitely prefer a larger piece (~ 12") for flowers. I just think they're just more fun to use, as well as generally being smoother. With bigger pieces, you get the experience of milking them up and watching the vapor disappear with a quick inhale.
