@$un - glad to see you'll soon be a nano-er. You're gonna love it - especially compared to the EQ.

We got off on the wrong foot but we are all part of the same nano club now, cheers bro!

How will this pair with the nano?

My nano is usually running around 5 or 6 when I'm not using it. Turned it off for the first real span of time since buying it while I await my 3" carbed WonG (Cherry, to match my Nano).

Thanks for all the replies. Geez wouldn`t the nano get really hot being left on 24/7?

It's all good, man! Know it can be tough, but you may want to wait until you get your nano before deciding on a bubbler. One of the best things about the nano is the incredible flavor. Don't know that all agree, but IMO more diffusion leads to less flavor. Think you'll be pretty impressed with it coming from the EQ - even more so the solo. nano dry really isn't that bad, just make sure you have a glass of water nearby because longer sessions do tend to dry you out a bit. Actually, waiting a bit may work in your favor in another way. There are many cheap Chinese pieces that pair well with the nano, but they are on holiday over there right now. So, probably not much leaving the country for a week or two. If you go that route, my personal suggestions would be either the D-020D or GB-187 as a decent starter piece. Many posts about each over in the Cheap, high-quality bubbler?? thread. They take a little while to get to you, but either of those is less than $50 shipped.

Then again, seems many can't resist all the pretty percs and bubbles in higher diffusion pieces. Plenty of those cheap from China, too. If the flavor aspect isn't important to you, I think the nano should cloud up anything short of a 4 foot tube. Just keep in mind, more bubbles and stacking is probably going to take away flavor.

Crotch Walnut Exotic arrived yesterday! I am super impressed with the turn around and the quality of this thing. Only have a quick flash pic for now. Doesn't do it justice. Will try to get some sunlight pics later this week.

Thanks @ACE OF VAPE

Another BEAUTY!!! Lots of pretty nanos shipping out these days. Congrats @xer0 , and welcome to the club!

I wonder how many have done what you do (24/7) for over a year? If still fine then it must show how reliable the heating element is yeah!?

I think there are quite a few. Mine is on 24/7, usually between 6 - 6.5, for almost two years now. Only times I usually turn it off is if it is leaving the house, or I won't be home for more than 20 - 30 hours. I try to remember to turn it down below 5 when I'm done with it, but that rarely actually happens. It really doesn't get too hot, is always ready to go, and I agree wholeheartedly with @hafalump - it is a nice handwarmer whether you're buzzed or not. With this frigging arctic winter, I sometimes pick it up and hold it on my chest or neck. Kinda sappy I guess, but very comforting! Just make sure you don't let any hair touch the heater. One time of that horrid stink was enough to learn my lesson.

DOH!! Almost forgot... I do think leaving it on all the time is a little harder on the finish, but don't have a point of comparison. I only wax mine with beeswax every couple months and it still looks great!

Indeed, I'm at around 6 months - usually running 24/7 at 6.5, sometime 5 if I remember to turn it down

I was slightly concerned about the PWM dimmer switch, but my fears were alleviated when I used a FLIR camera to examine the switch - looks like it's running cool at room temperature. (Search this thread, I have a few cool pictures of the Nano's thermal signature).

The new GonG is just right able. :) It is slightly taller, like 2mm, but the difference is more on the inside.
I can place the basket con vex,, and still have 5mm adjustment .
I think old and new look the same, but the inside is off on the shorties, making it tougher.

I am hoping to receive the same.

Really liking the new GonGs!!! Only complaint? Liking them a little too much and hard to type here. Gonna try another round and see if that helps. :smug:

EDIT: Nope! No luck. Somewhow typing seems even harder. Have to correct as much as type.

Seriously... think I like these GonGs as much or more than any of the 3 other ones I have (first ones with resticted middle and a couple since). Yeah, I know I really only need one, but can't resist picking up a new one every so often.

Do really like my Joda carbed GOnG too, but prefer the standard epic GonG with a rolled down silicone more than anything. I totally get the carbed thing (after a good bit of practice), but prefer not to leave nano over load most of time and really like more wide open air when I clear.

Joda stem is still the only one I use, though. It's perfect for going dry on the occasions I do. If I could have had it custom made to my exact preferences, I don't I could have figured how to make it perform as well or taste so good.

Im pretty sure they sent me the wrong size gong,if it didnt have the silicone it would fall through the joint on my fc187.....but i figure screw it,i need to get an adjust a gong anyways and just gives me a reason to cure a little GAS

You put the silicone on the GonG part? That'll get you through. MIght be tricky to pull the gong out of the bubb, though. I like the adjust a bowl gong much better. Don't know how long since I used my glass screened one.

You gotta appreciate anyone who can produce a decent vaporizer yet still keep their presence on a forum that's mostly full of complaining stoners, I couldn't do it.

That's confidence in a well made product I guess. Don't see too many complaints about the nano... Mainly about the glass accessories ;)

Sounds like you got a 14mm gong and not an 18mm one.
A cheap 14mm - 18mm adapter will put that right, or I'm sure Andy'll send you the right one...
